An important password:“Listen to Your Own Inner Wisdom. You are the Key to Your Own Life. Time to Speak the Truth”This powerful Full Moon in Sagittarius, May 31st/June 1st is really the illuminator of this “your re-storying" your unique Dream”. This lunar cycle presents a dynamic opportunity to take a real look at the ideas, thoughts and experiences that came forth during the Full Moon in Scorpio that happened at the beginning of May.This Moon offers both inner focus, and the opportunity to experience worldly experiences through connection to Cosmic Source. Guidance through trusting intuitive insights from the well of personal inspiration is the key for moving toward greater and higher vibrational consciousness.During this lunar cycle, the awareness of growth, expansion, plenty, and abundance are under major consideration. Even as we look out into the collective society, it's absolutely critical to dream one's own big dreams. What thoughts and dreams have been moving back and forward through your mind during this time? The notable aspect of this lunar cycle emphasizes concepts of greater self expansion, exploration, new perspective through inner awareness and spiritual renewal. With this Full Moon, Jupiter the planet of expansion, is having a conversation somewhere in your “Star Map”. Sagittarius is the sign of fiery and inspired direction. This sign brings a feeling of joy and adventure when you choose confidence, courage, and deep self-belief. Taking the chance to step out, and “Lucky” Jupiter will pave your way.During this Full Moon you are gaining an energetic boost, and being called upon to take action on something you've dreamed about during the Sun in Gemini idea generating stage. With this Full Moon as it illuminates the pathway. Jupiter is calling for expansion in a particular area of your life, so it is time to activate and actualize those dreams. Interestingly enough, this Moon really supports forward motion. Sagittarius is not a sign for looking back into the past. In some ways, this sign embodies the "Fool" card in the Tarot. The character in the card is definitely looking ahead, and standing ready to see what's over the horizon and next mountain. With Sagittarius energy, you have deep support to step fully into taking your vision, intention, desire or dream. What's most important thing is to belief in what you are choosing, which will offer the momentum for moving forward in your life. So, here it is Full Moon in Sagittarius, and all the planetary players are whispering that it's time for things to change The combination of the Moon and Jupiter is release with the lunar cycle of the full moon, and expansion through Jupiter signaling change and a focused on forward motion.I want to give recognition to the powerful supportive energies of Neptune and Saturn both being in the sign of Aries. The fiery energy of the other elemental fire sign is giving this rare "Blue Moon" added impetus. The air elemental of Gemini is important in providing a way for the ideas to be dispersed into the personal and collective consciousness. If you reflect on these signs (air, Gemini idea, with fire action of moving forward with Sagittarius), there is a completeness in understanding how thoughts become "things".So it's time to not only dream, the question is, how will your dream become reality and move your life in the direction you really want to go? Seeking new horizons through study and travelThe sign of Sagittarius represents the areas of life where the deepest beliefs about life are being questioned. The first stage in this questioning process is highlighted by what, and how much an individual believes in self? This lunar cycle is aligned with assessing the experience of inner self worth and how it is lived in daily life expression. Sagittarius is the sign that is always on a quest to understand what can be called the “higher mind”. Studies of a spiritual nature, through higher education, publishing, exploring other cultures are the ways in which the Sagittarian individual grows in Soul reconnection, emotional depth and life awareness. Trusting Your Own Voice of TruthAlong with Libra and Scorpio, Sagittarius is a relationship sign. It operates by seeing others as part of a collective consciousness. The impetus of this sign is to interact, to teach, to promote and to bring knowledge about truth, freedom, justice, equality, and spiritual insights to the group experience. Wherever Sagittarius energy is positioned within a chart, there's a need to share knowledge and wisdom about the Universal Source that is supporting all aspects of life. Sagittarius is a mutable sign, meaning that it thrives by interacting and communicating deep philosophical and spiritual topics. What is most important in understanding and using the wisdom of this sign, is the absolute requirement to embrace positive beliefs and values of integrity, truth, honesty and freedom for everyone. The Power and Path of Possibility Thinking with SagittariusEach of us carries a collection of inner subconscious programs that are associated with every experience we've ever encountered. Sagittarius is the sign that requires us to go into the significant areas of our lives, and examine the negative beliefs, “shadow” thoughts or low- level vibrational consciousness, where there's judgmentalness, prejudice, and narrow-mindedness about others.Sagittarius has the ability to see and operate from the “big picture experience''. An example of an individual with Moon in Sagittarius, is the cultural icon, Oprah. By studying her life trajectory, she reveals how the Sagittarian energy is activated through the deep belief that what is invisible can become visible. Sagittarius is a sign that taps the “higher intelligence” through what is known as the “Third Eye”. The symbol of this sign as half horse with a bow and arrow, deals with piercing the “veil” and seeing beyond the 3 D plane of matter and limitation. The Sagittarius Superpower is “Taking a Leap Of Faith”As a mutable sign, Sagittarius symbolizes the ability to trust, take physical and emotional risks that life is always supported by Universal or Infinite Source. This sign specializes in searching for and moving toward greater horizons.Looking inward and gaining an understanding of what is meaningful and worthwhile is essential. In this sign the relating principle is seen in desiring to merge with the many experiences encountered on the archetypal “quest” and journeying through life.Mutable signs and planets are the Communicators and Seekers of the ZodiacSagittarius/Gemini depict the archetypes of the “Teacher and Student”. These signs are associated with both adventure on the earth plane, as well as stepping into the inner and subjective experiences of life.Sagittarius is the sign that brings buoyancy, open hearted- optimism, confidence and courage to interactions and encounters with others. With this sign, there is much complexity because what appears to be obvious often has many layers of meaning, and has to be unraveled through intuitive reflections.Sagittarius is masculine fire sign, meaning that it inspires action, and has a need for direct experiencing of life. Wherever this sign is positioned in the chart is an indicator of the need for deep involvement in a specific area or arena of life.Even though Sagittarius is a fire sign, it has a kinship with the water sign Pisces. They both possess a shared awareness of what it means to have “faith” in living life from a deep Soul experience. Let's have an Astrology Conversation. I look forward to seeing you. [47:36] What happens when 20 years and hundreds of conversations change the way you communicate, listen, and tell stories? In this special milestone episode, guest host Ryan Levesque turns the microphone around on Greg Gazin to reflect on the journey behind The Toastmasters Podcast, ToastCaster, and the lessons learned along the way. From launching a podcast as a Toastmasters High Performance Leadership project in 2006 to becoming host and producer of The Toastmasters Podcast, Greg shares how podcasting transformed not only his communication skills, but also the way he approaches conversations, uncovers stories, and connects with people.Along the way, the conversation revisits unforgettable moments, including interviews that created vivid “movies in the mind,” emotional discussions that revealed the human side of leadership, and the unexpected lessons that emerged from hundreds of conversations inside and outside Toastmasters.Greg also reflects on how his interviewing style evolved over time. What began as a focus on asking the “right” questions gradually became something else: learning to listen more carefully, follow curiosity, and help stories unfold naturally. The episode also includes a few behind-the-scenes stories, podcasting flubs, and some unexpected moments listeners likely will not see coming.Listeners will also hear…• How podcasting and Toastmasters helped supercharge Greg's communication skills• How Greg evolved from question asker to “story builder”• Why curiosity matters more than asking the “perfect” question• The conversation that literally gave Greg shivers while recording• A few memorable podcasting flubs and behind-the-scenes moments• The origin of Greg's “conversational runway” interviewing approach• Why some of the best podcast moments happen completely off-script• Lessons learned from guest and former co-hostSome of the most meaningful moments did not come from carefully planned questions. They came from unexpected turns, honest reflections, and the willingness to go a little deeper. And after hundreds of conversations, one lesson stands out above all: when people feel heard, remarkable stories often emerge.Greg's article, Reflecting Back: How a Simple Podcasting Project Developed into an Incredible Journey, appears in the June 2026 issue of the Toastmaster magazine. .Some additional episodes and resources mentioned in this conversation include:• #082 Introducing Greg Gazin - Newest Host of The Toastmasters Podcast • #084 Meet the 2014 World Champion of Public Speaking, Dananjaya Hettiarachchi • #100 Meet the 2015 World Champion of Public Speaking, Mohammed Qahtani• #104 Surviving Everest & the Nepali Earthquake with Sara Safari• #169 Vision Beyond Eyesight with Deborah McAlexander• #172 Confessions of a Podcast Host• #179 Finding Healing Through Service and Leadership with David Jones• #208 Don't Let Fear Hold You Back with Robert A. This episode of the Less Chatter, More Matter podcast has us uncovering what it means to be a communicator in an AI-driven world; plus, why the profession is entering a major period of transformation.Communicators are being challenged to rethink where their value truly lies as AI takes over the practical, often menial, tasks of our everyday. BUT! The future of communication isn't about producing more of this content faster, in fact it's more about becoming trusted strategic advisors who help organisations build trust, navigate uncertainty and strengthen human connection. So, this episode helps map out this change with a new framework for the future communicator built around five evolving roles: reputation architects, risk and opportunity identifiers, stakeholder engagers, human connectors, and leadership coaches. We also look at the critical capabilities communicators need to develop to remain relevant, including adaptability, creativity, business acumen, strategic thinking and relationship building.Get ready to learn all about how communicators can position themselves to lead in an increasingly complex, AI-influenced world.Links mentioned in this episode:90 minute Strategy Power SessionPublic workshops and trainingLess Chatter, More Matter - Mel's bookTemplate packsChange Isn't Hard! - Mel's bookSign up here to the fortnightly mail out of free resources!Say hi!Follow me on LinkedInFind out what I'm up to InstagramCheck out my websiteAsk a question

"Who you are" makes the world a better place「世界に自分軸を輝かせよう」by Sayuri Sense

Every relationship problem, lost deal, and leadership failure traces back to one thing: communication. Not surface level small talk, but the ability to make another person feel genuinely understood. In this episode Jeremy Miner sits down with Reg Malhotra, Founder and CEO of Neuro Masters Academy and board certified master trainer in NLP and hypnotherapy. Together they break down why the need to be right kills influence, how tonality changes whether someone gets defensive or drops their guard, the "meet people where they are" principle that applies to parenting, sales, and marriage, and specific linguistic patterns that get people to open up and tell you the truth. Why are nonprofit communicators so often brought in at the end of a project and treated more like an order-taker than a strategic partner? Farra Trompeter, co-director, talks with Ally Dommu, director of service development, about why communications staff deserve a seat at the table and what changes when they get it. They explore the organizational habits and assumptions that keep communications stuck in a tactical role, and share practical steps communicators can take to shift the culture, build stronger cross-team relationships, and demonstrate their strategic value.

[31:42] Generative AI can help you work faster and sharpen your message, but only if you stay in control. In this episode, Greg Gazin speaks with Joel Schwartzberg about how to spot and resolve common AI pitfalls so your communication remains clear, credible, and authentic.Joel approaches AI as a tool—useful, but not a replacement for decision-making. It can improve clarity and efficiency, but it doesn't understand your priorities, your audience, or your voice. AI is a powerful assistant, but a poor decision-maker without human guidance. For Toastmasters, that distinction matters. Whether you are preparing a speech or refining an idea, AI can produce something polished that still misses the point. The value comes when you use AI to improve your thinking and not replace it.Joel's article, 7 Generative AI Pitfalls for Communicators; How to spot and resolve these blind spots before they cost you clarity and trust, appears in the March 2026 issue of the Toastmasters Magazine. Listeners will hear… • Why using AI does not make you a fraud as a communicator • How AI can improve your writing when used properly • How to spot and resolve common AI “Achilles heels” • Why authenticity flaws matter—and how to sound like yourself • How AI misplaces priorities and what to do about it • Why running your content through AI is like using a pasta makerAI can help you communicate more clearly and efficiently. But the message is still yours to shape. Your voice and experience are what make it connect.Joel will also be presenting at the Toastmasters International Convention in Vancouver, Canada, on Friday, August 21 at 3:30 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time, sharing insights on clear, focused communication. You may also enjoy his previous appearance:Stop Talking, Start Connecting: The Cure for Overspeaking (Episode #268)About Joel SchwartzbergJoel Schwartzberg, a long-time communications coach, a speechwriter, and the author of Get to the Point! Send us a note about this episode. We'll reply and thank you on a future episodeEvery comms professional knows the playbook. A crisis hits, you move fast. Holding statement, talking points, media plan, stakeholder map. You do it well because you've trained for it. You bring the plan to the CEO expecting alignment and instead you get a polite nod and silence. Not pushback. Not disagreement. Just silence. And that silence is worse than any argument because it means the CEO has already stopped listening. Not because your plan was bad, but because it was solving a problem they weren't thinking about. This is the gap that quietly erodes the comms function's credibility in organizations everywhere. Communicators are passionate people. That passion is their greatest asset, until it becomes a bias that pulls them toward issues that feel urgent but aren't connected to the core business. And when that happens enough times, the CEO doesn't fire you. They just stop inviting you into the room. Send us Fan MailGrant Otto on what 1,000 feet underwater can teach us about career purpose and the power of "waiting."“The biggest ‘career moves' don't start with a resume; they start with curiosity.”I recently sat down with Grant Otto, a marine scientist and researcher specializing in marine robotics. If that sounds like a job from a movie, that's because it almost is, complete with stories of underwater ROVs getting tangled 1,000 feet down and “wet storage” missions to recover equipment worth more than a house. But Grant didn't come on Outside Insights just to talk about how cool the tech is (though it is very cool). He came because he's on a mission: he's trying to get more talented people to care about the ocean.Three Lessons from the Deep1. We need more than just “Turtle Lovers.” Most people get hooked on marine science by watching National Geographic. But to solve the massive challenges facing our oceans, warming waters, and rising acidity, Grant argues we need more than just biology fans. To build a “Blue Economy,” we need:Engineers and Builders to design resilient tech.Artists and Communicators to tell the story of our changing coastlines.Problem Solvers who aren't afraid to get their hands dirty (or wet).2. The Power of the Cold Email Grant's career didn't start with a recruiter; it started with a cold email. While studying mechanical engineering, he realized he loved robotics and surfing. He asked a simple question: “What about marine robotics?” That curiosity turned into a Master's degree and a career with deep purpose.3. Surfing as Leadership Meditation We dove into the difference between work that “funds your life” and work that “defines you.” Grant shared a powerful perspective on surfing, describing as 80–90% waiting. For leaders who feel like they are constantly “pushing through,” Grant's advice is a necessary pivot: Sometimes leadership isn't about pushing harder; it's about knowing when to get quiet enough to hear the right wave.Try This This WeekTake five minutes of “waiting” time today, no phone, no music, no noise. Just observe. Like Grant waiting for a wave, use that quiet space to remember your “why.”

What if the most powerful communicators aren't the most polished ones? In this episode, Dia Bondi shares how watching a three-day communication skills class transformed her life. She had no resume to support her desire, but she made the ask that changed everything: "Will you apprentice me?" That mentor said yes, and 25 years later, she's still helping leaders speak powerfully from who they truly are. Dia's work goes beyond messaging to something deeper: helping clients articulate what they have to say before figuring out how to say it. She's coached VC-backed founders past Series B, VP-level executives, and even helped Rio de Janeiro win the right to host the 2016 Olympics (a $7 billion decision) without ever knowing who referred her. Dia reveals the six attributes of the most compelling communicators: they make the choice to be big in big moments, they know how to make strategic asks, they absolutely know their voice, they've got killer setups for their asks, they bridge their voice to the business really well, and they prep on purpose by actually talking through what they'll say. She shares the story of a founder who created a 40-minute story to invite existing customers to help inform what gets built next. That task drove $10 million of value in the business. Dia also explains why the most powerful moment in her career might have been her first deal that included both cash and shares, because once she did it once, she now had the confidence and understanding to recreate it over and over again. [00:08:20] The Ask That Changed My Life Watched three-day communication skills class about storytelling in business Had no resume to support desire to do that work Asked if he would apprentice her, and he did 25 years later still finds it compelling because it truly moves the needle for people [00:10:20] What You Have to Say vs. How to Say It Messaging is "how do I say it?" but Dia lives in the step before that "What is it that you have to say?" Until a leader can articulate things that feel innate but aren't obvious, can't create the message First articulate what you have to say, then figure out how best to express it [00:12:00] The 40-Minute Story Worth $10 Million Former client needed to invite existing customers to participate in informing product development Put together compelling story bridging what founder has to say with story of business Set up really killer ask, 40-minute story to set up that ask Client secured participation needed, will drive about $10 million of value in business [00:17:20] The First Deal With Shares Introduction to blockchain company working directly with founders First time setting up deal that included both cash and shares It paid off, and importantly gave confidence and understanding Once you do it first time, now have opportunity to do it over and over because it's in your radar [00:20:00] Helping Rio Win the Olympics bid Got a request over the internet: "We heard you're good, can you give us a call?" Turned out to be production team working on Rio's bid for 2016 Olympics $7 billion decision, got to work in those teeny tiny rooms where stories get crafted Still doesn't know who referred her, but knows what part of work it came from [00:24:40] Six Attributes of Powerful Communicators One: Make choice to be big in big moments (not about being polished or showboat) Two: Know how to make strategic asks and use asking strategically Three: Absolutely know their voice and can give good feedback to creative collaborators Four: Got killer setups for the asks they make of partners [00:27:20] The Last Two Attributes Five: Bridge their own voice to the business really well Six: Prep on purpose by actually talking through it, not just thinking about it One founder's pregame routine: end call, go downstairs, change shirt, wash face, drink water If he did that six times in day, he'd go through six shirts [00:30:00] Kevin's $16.1 Million Conversation 2003, owned cleaning and restoration company with website producing $15,000/month Mentor Joe Polish: "Come speak at event, document what you do into a course" Had never spoken publicly before, invested in Speaker's Bootcamp training Made $35,000 in course sales that day, but that wasn't the big win [00:32:40] The Real Big Win Over next 12 years sold $16.1 million worth of that course All because of one conversation: "Why don't you come down and speak?" Brought energy, joyfulness, willingness to share with generosity When you're invited, say yes KEY QUOTES "I made the ask that changed my life. That gentleman brought me in and let me watch his class. I asked if he would apprentice me, and he did." - Dia Bondi "The most compelling communicators make the choice to be big in big moments. This episode is back as a replay because the conversation is still incredibly relevant—and the questions around PECS and AAC haven't gone away. In this episode, we take a thoughtful, nuanced look at the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) and its role in supporting autistic communication. While PECS has been widely used for decades, growing research, lived experience, and neurodiversity-affirming practice are prompting professionals to ask deeper questions about autonomy, flexibility, and what true communication really looks like. I'm joined by speech-language pathologists Paulina Elias and Dr. Amanda Blackwell from Natural Communication for a powerful discussion about how PECS originated, what it does well, and where it can fall short—especially when communication is limited to requesting or tightly controlled exchanges. We explore why many clinicians are shifting toward multimodal, child-led AAC approaches that support regulation, self-expression, and authentic connection. You'll hear us unpack topics like honoring a child's right to say "no," moving away from hand-over-hand prompting, and choosing communication tools that grow alongside a child rather than restricting them. Whether you're a parent, educator, or therapist, this replay episode offers updated perspectives that may challenge old assumptions—and help you feel more confident in supporting communication that is respectful, functional, and truly empowering.

Hard conversations at home don't have to turn into shouting matches. We brought in Joe Dillon, a pioneer in divorce mediation, to show how the same tools that settle high‑stakes disputes can make family life calmer, kinder, and more effective. Joe's story starts in corporate publishing, where he learned to bridge the gap between sales, legal, and clients. That real‑world training led him to master negotiation psychology—and today he uses it to help families preserve dignity, protect kids, and reach agreements that actually stick. We dig into practical scripts you can use tonight. Curfew on the table? Replace knee‑jerk no's with four words that disarm: “Help me understand.” Ask for reasons, require a real trade, and agree on terms you both value. Joe explains why silence is a power move, not a punishment—giving teens the space to think, reveal the real issue, and choose better behavior. We break down conversational jujitsu, the art of stepping back, reading the emotion behind the demand, and lowering the temperature without giving up your standards. You'll also learn how to stop playing judge in sibling fights. Joe's rule: don't get in the box. Hand ownership back to the combatants with clear conditions and walk away, so they practice collaboration instead of outsourcing decisions. For friend drama, we coach I‑statements, empathy, and simple repairs that rebuild trust without blame. And for anyone edging toward divorce, Joe offers grounded guidance: tune out well‑meaning friends, seek quiet, and talk to a professional who can help you see options clearly. If you want a home where people listen, solve problems, and keep their word, these tools will help you get there.
