Steve Mclean is a standup comedian who has toured various fringes, most notably Edinburgh with his shows Action Figure Archive, Action Figure Archive Vol 2 and Retrosexual. He is appearing at the Orlando Comedy Fringe later this year! Enjoying the show? Oi, could you do me a favour… Either join Patreon or Share Me With A Friend (/enemy) With Patreon… it's a site that deducts £3 a month (price of a coffee) from you, to support the show. I'm having a lot of fun making this shit but it does cost money to host and time (neglecting my children) to make. Honestly: I just work really hard to make it LOOK disorganised and punk-rock

This episode features an inspiring and insightful conversation with our friends Sarah & Steve McLean. Sarah, diagnosed with breast cancer at 26, shares her journey of healing and recovery while just being married for a year. Recovery, reconstruction, double mastectomy and two children later, life chose not to play along again and the roller coaster started all over. In this conversation, we talk about how her journey prompted her to support other women facing these same challenges. Through this, she birthed Project 31 - a community by and for breast cancer survivors. Breast cancer leaves its mark on more than the body and through the resources and support of Project 31, women get emotional, spiritual and practical support to navigate their battles. You'll hear, in this episode, from her proud and supportive husband who shares his perspective as he holds his family together through Sarah's 13 surgeries all while maintaining his whit, charm and support. Grab your mascara because there are tears and laughter through tears coming your way. Sarah & Steve are changing the conversation and giving hope to women and families through their experience, passion and the love of Christ. What they are doing is HUGE and you will LOVE this episode. We talk all about the breast cancer experience from the patient's perspective, but what's it like to be the husband or caregiver, sitting in the waiting room just ... waiting? Steve McLean, husband of Project31 founder Sarah McLean, joins us and shares a little about his feelings and fears at the time and what he wishes he would have known at the time. Guys - listen in!
Already, my quest to do an episode of this podcast has taken its toll, I (Lee Kyle, best comedian going in a way) was stupidly ill this morning, luckily, I'd picked up enough to do today's show an hour ago with Steve McLean. Steve is a fun and slightly silly comedian who got into a bit of bother with some arseholes recently by being a decent person. Here is The Oxbridge Entrance Exam, where I ask questions in the guise of an elderly professor with marital problems and decide if the guest can get into a prestigious university or something. -MCB

In case you missed it on TCS283, friends of the show give a quick prediction on tonight's Championship game between the Ottawa REDBLACKS and Calgary Stampeders. Stick around until the end as many of our friends and guests took a few minutes to record their predictions for the big game as well - including Steve McLean of the OHL Fanboys Podcast, Mike Commito - author of Hockey 365, Matty Laing of Foundation Physio, Scott MacArthur of TSN 1050 in Toronto and Canadian Paralympian Amy Burk. On the heels of another terrific summer long weekend, we're back to help you kick off your work week with a brand new episode of Tall Can Sports with Matt being joined on the show by Steve McLean of the OHL Fanboys Podcast. Steve has been a TCA backer since the days we got started and the show kicks off with talk of a mutual friend who has been a great benefit to both podcasts over the years. Also addressed on this episode is how Steve got his show up and running, the moving target that is his long term junior hockey fandom, some of the amazing travel he's been able to do thanks to his show and his passion for the game, a few disasters that he's faced along the way and we even had to take some time at the end to talk about a passion the guys share for The Simpsons. Steve is a great guy with a terrific podcast and a ton of knowledge. His support for what we do here has also been unrelenting since we got up and running. It was about time we managed to find a way to get him here on Tall Can Sports.
