In this episode you'll hear: –What makes rural police enforcement so appealing. –Why good fathers are so important to young men. –Should people take up the badge and enter law enforcement? “Things Police See” podcast.

This week's midweek musing is all about SELF-COMPASSION. Yep. That elusive quality that may be difficult to fully connect with on the regular. I have my own thoughts on how self-compassion works - something that came to me a couple of years ago. Something about "suffering with" and not running away from YOU in the middle of your own challenges and pain (whether physical or emotional). Invite yourself for tea instead. Be present. Be the best possible friend you've got. Be in the waiting room with yourself. It's so amazing that our psychology allows us to be the speaker and the observer simultaneously. It's a gift that we have the capacity to consciously direct compassion toward ourselves.
