This guest on the Prosperity Perspective Podcast is incredible; Beate Chelette is a growth architect, german immigrant, single mom, and female leadership advocate. But what makes her story so unique is her ability to press through the very essence of rock bottom, transitioning from being $135,000 in debt to cracking the code and getting back on top of her business life, owning and selling several booming companies in different industries, one of which was sold to Bill Gates for $1 million. But Beate wants to talk to host Liam Leonard about the “messy middle”--that is, the story in between starting a business and the success story that most entrepreneurs share at the end. You may be surprised to find the failures that Beate met along the way, motivating her to teach industry leaders to adapt to changing times and build a framework that works for the next generation of male and female employees. 3 Key Takeaways Why you need to unlearn what your middle class family members have imbued in your understanding of business to move up.How Beate went from absolute bankruptcy to break even in 3 months. Why you need to take action to go to the next level BEFORE you start making the extra money that comes with that.About Beate CheletteBeate Chelette is the Growth Architect and founder of The Women's Code and designs processes, best practices and systems for leaders who want to grow, build and scale their business, and achieve measurable results and profits they can count on.Beate is “One of 100 Top Global Thought Leaders in 2021” by PeopleHum and “One of 50 Must-Follow Women Entrepreneurs by HuffPost. The Growth Architect, Author of Amazon bestseller ‘Happy Women, Happy World' and founder of ‘The Women's Code', Beate Chelette joins Might Pete in today‘s episode, to share her story of how she overcame financial struggles and sold her multi-million dollar company to Bill Gates, as well as how she endeavours to change the way women and men work together. They also discuss humanising the workplace, why you should only focus on your cause and the importance of trust. KEY TAKEAWAYS We need to humanise the workplace. There is only a small percentage that can thrive in the current system of moving from kindergarten to high school to college and then to work within the corporate world. This needs to change. You don't know the second step before you take the first step. When people say ‘I can't start because I don't know that path', this is obvious. You cannot see the mountain top unless you get out of the forest and you are at a certain elevation. You just have to trust that it is there. When we go into these journeys, we have to trust that this is what we are here to do and what we are meant to do. Pay attention to how it shows up because God delivers, all the time. Trust is earned. People do what people need to do to save themselves. People who you often believe to be of worth, do things that are primarily beneficial for them over you. That is just human nature. Learning to trust is hard for most people. Unless something is your cause and this is what you are here to do, stop obsessing over it. What you do makes absolutely no difference to the situation other than make you crazy. Focus on the thing that you came here to do and make an impact in that genre because that is your cause. If you focus on all the things in the world that could be improved, you will make yourself crazy because everything can be improved. If you don't know how to talk about yourself or present yourself, there is no winning right now for you. Knowing how to do this is a fundamental requirement at this time. BEST MOMENTS ‘You don't know the second step before you take the first step.' ‘Leadership comes from survival.' ‘Being different is a strength, not a yelling point.' ‘With that, now you can trust.' ‘I want to change the way women and men work together.' ‘I have to focus on that which I can improve.'
