Continuing with the "Taking Control of Our Narrative" series, we're discussing health disparities and advocating for your health. Having a healthy, mind, and body is the single most important asset to have in order to build thriving communities. In this special episode, I address Black America, our grief, racial trauma and reclaiming our future. Inspired by the recent incidents of police brutality, Black America has been living in grief and sometimes fear while maintaining our normal lives. Our endless experiences with discrimination, police brutality, prejudices, and microaggressions for centuries, has been something Black Americans experienced throughout generations. Now, with protestors and destroyed property, we are coming to an end of a toxic relationship. Reclaiming our future involves gaining economic power and exercising our votes on a local level.
