As black people there is a stigma to be strong when hurt, to have discretion whenexperiencing trauma, and/or keeping the very thing killing you in-house even though we need professional guidance to resolve our issues. December 14th, 2021, Menchville High School in Newport News,Va a 18 yr old was fatally shot by a 17 yr old in a high school parking lot after a basketball game. There have been 34 school shootings this year, 24 since August 1. A shooting on Nov. 30, in which a student killed four people and injured seven at an Oxford, Mich., high school, was the deadliest school shooting since May 2018. There have been 92 school shootings since 2018.
