Podcast by Tim Byrd
Since the entertainment and cultural world is shut down, This week I pivoted from that to restaurants that are open only for take-out. I decided to do this as a public service to help residents of our county during this pandemic. I invited Jan Norris long time Food Journalist in for some suggestions, insight and a video we did as a random top 10. It was a good day for all! We have seen this video go viral, in a few days it is already into the thousands. Thank you for the support and please don't stop.Tim Byrd "The Byrdman" See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
Welcome to the most unusual few days we have ever had as a nation. The virus which was transmitted has caused shut downs and closings of all kinds to help curb the transmission of the virus and hopefully shorten its life in this country. Needless to say the closings and postponements are many. However there are 2 places that are open and both are outdoors oriented and both very beautiful, peaceful, and serene. In West Palm Beach, Mounts Botanical Gardens is open and they stated that they are following all national, state, and local health department guidelines. The other place is an unusually serene setting and that is The Morikami Japanese Gardens in Delray Beach, they too are following all guidelines. At a time like this, maybe those two places can offer some beauty without close enclosed crowds, and bring some joy to those who are well and able to follow all the guidelines. We also mention that Apple Stores across America are closed, but they are still offering online help for all who need it.If you are open and want to get your message out, either way and want to advertise your message in this time when people will be looking for alternatives that are safe to be a little active, please call us at 561.504.0814 or contact me at Tim@PalmBeachlwp.com. We are very close to the beginning of not only a new year, but a new decade. I am not so much into resolutions, but I am into putting myself in a position to excel, to be seen as a multi-talented person who can do many things. As we slide into this fresh new time, we can all stop to be grateful, that is a big positive! If we keep it simple and do everything we said we would, those little things right there are huge accomplishments. So this year I want to be more of an encourager. I enjoy that and have been told I am pretty good at that. The fresh approach to a new year and decade also falls in line with my return to radio broadcasting, I will be doing morning radio under my banner which is..."Byrdman's Get Up & Go Show", I am inviting you by also asking, if you enjoy laughing, having fun, taking your calls, giving away prizes, also inviting friends to come sit in with me on the show, and going and doing lots of things. I will start January 6th, 2020 and the stations True Oldies Channel 95.9fm for The Palm Beaches and 106.9fm for the Treasure Coast. There are so many new things to do and places to go, and this week you can hear them now at ByrdmansPalmBeach.com, another piece of news is that a :60 second version of ByrdmansPalmBeach.com will air on The True Oldies Channel too, so there will be the original 3 minute version here on our site, and a shower version for radio, so we have you covered several ways. Please tell your friends that you listen and how convenient it is to listen all week 24/7 and repeat as many times as you wish. According to Neilsen "Convenience is the New Currency", we were ahead of that curve, and thank you to all who have supported by listening regularly and understand we are helping you live a smarter and better life.Thank you Thank you Thank you....2020 Here we come!
