Biomechanics, ergonomics, dealing with Injury and pain, neurocognitive/reaction training, hydration of course and more. This one isn’t just for industry people. Kiwi Supercars driver Matt Payne has had a dream start to the season. He's been racing under Grove and Penrite, and has already racked up three wins for the season. It's had fans and former drivers raving about his prospects as a future champion and considering he's currently sitting third on the overall ladder, he'll be hoping it's the very near future. Two of his wins so far came in the same weekend, on the home track at Taupo. “I think that was a pretty special weekend for, for all of us,” Payne told Hosking. “Y'know, two wins in one weekend is pretty cool, and I think for me, winning at home, especially in front of the New Zealand crowd, it couldn't have been any better.” His other win came in Tasmania, Payne moving from his starting position in 10th to claim the victory. “That was a pretty special race,” he said. “Just how everything played out, as the tyres were going away, and just how close it was at the end... it definitely stayed with me for a while.” “Pretty awesome race.” LISTEN ABOVE See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Welcome to our motorsports podcast where we discuss F1, IndyCar, IMSA, NASCAR, our own racing adventures, and some other adventures!Maximum chaos happened this week and no it was not from NASCAR...well IMSA has a NASCAR tie now so I guess it still is. Anyways, a return to the streets of the very tight Detroit street circuit for IndyCar and IMSA where cautions certainly bred cautions. One incident took out the untouchable IndyCar and Indy 500 Champion, Alex Palou. The Indy 500 win curse continues at Detroit as another winner fails to go back to back the following race weekend. However, another repeat winner for the season as Kyle Kirkwood had the dominant pace this weekend. Over in IMSA, a new BOP has been applied and even though the favored manufacturer won it was not easy. Last minute overtaking in the closing moments had to be done which gave an entertaining finish as Acura took the win in GTP. Ford won in GTD Pro.Formula 1 went to Spain for their final race for now at Barcelona and it was spicy mainly due to the late Safety Car. We discuss the race in two parts and discuss the incident!aaaaannnnndddd Blaney wins at Nashville for NASCAR.Coming up this weekend: NASCAR is at Michigan, Supercars is at Perth, some of IMSA is at Mid Ohio, and MotoGP is at Aragon.

It’s been a huge week of news ahead of the biggest races of the year. On the eve of the Indy 500 some of the Team Penske Executive have been shown the door as the fallout continues from its latest saga. Two of its cars failed tech inspections after qualifying and have been sent to the back of the grid. Rusty steps through the past week (what the heck is an attenuator anyway?) and Roger Penske’s bid to restore integrity. You’ll hear a little of The Captain who spoke with Jamie Little for the Indycar on Fox coverage. Then Matt Hickey from Code Sports and the Daily Tele dials in for a preview of Sunday’s Monaco Grand Prix. The bold pass by Max Verstappen on Oscar Piastri last week at Imola, Charles Leclerc’s chances of going back-to-back for Ferrari at this legendary race and how the driver’s gathered to preview the new F1 movie in the lead-up….except Max….he was busy iRacing. And what if we park all the neg on socials for a minute and just thought objectively, we’d see some real positives from James Warburton’s return to the top job in Supercars. Rusty shares his thoughts on Warbo’s 2nd coming and why it makes sense right now.Head to Rusty's Facebook, Twitter or Instagram and give us your feedback and let us know who you want to hear from on Rusty's Garage. This week on The Auto Action RevLimiter, Andrew Clarke and the crew unpack a wild weekend of motorsport – starting with Max Verstappen's gritty win at Imola. How did McLaren not convert raw pace into victory? Was it strategy, tyre wear… or the problem of having 2 drivers in the fight? Red Bull didn't have that issue – especially after Yuki Tsunoda's monster crash ended his qualifying session early. We also break down the weekend chaos at Imola: Franco Colapinto filled in for Jack Doohan and promptly put it in the wall, Ferrari raced better than they qualified, Aston Martin did the opposite, and Mercedes had a complete shocker.Back home, James Warburton is back at the helm of Supercars – and we reckon that's a good thing. We dig into what it means and what's next. Then it's off to Indy, where Team Penske was slapped with disqualifications at a race they own, in a series it owns. Awkward? Absolutely. But don't be surprised when they come out swinging at the Indy 500 as it targets three-in-a-row.All that plus the latest headlines, hot takes, and news fromaround the racing world. Buckle in – this one's flat-out.PLUS - we have discounts galore. If you are on the ACDelco website, use the code AAREVL25 for a 25% discount on all your parts. Matt Payne is back on the pod fresh from his Sunday Supercars victory in Tasmania. The Penrite racer talks about that epic finish (he won by 0.05) and whether he could have kept Broc Feeney behind him for much longer? Plus how much it means to some of the former 888 team members in the Grove squad! We also look ahead to the next couple of rounds in Perth and Darwin - what he thinks of their chances there? Then TA2 Category Manager ‘Matty Mack’ (MacKelden) joins us with the ink still drying on this week’s deal to acquire Trans Am. Why it’s important to still have some separation between the two despite the awesome combined field recently at Bathurst. How they stepped in to help fill a void on the support bill at Waneroo and the nice balance they seem to have struck between rowing their own boat and working alongside Supercars at some marquee events. This week on The Auto Action RevLimiter, we're turning up the heat from the frozen south, which actually wasn't that frozen! Andrew Clarke was trackside in Tasmania, and he's got all the stories — from Matt Payne winning with his head rather than his right foot, to Broc Feeney proving he's got both speed and silverware, even if the clean sweep slipped through his fingers. We unpack the brains-beat-brawn strategy play that handed Payne the win, why Feeney still walks away on top of the championship, and how DJR's night in the steward's office turned into a proper disqualification debacle. We also dive into Brad Jones' big Toyota switch — yes, it's real — and which Supercars stars are packing their passports for NASCAR's Chicago Street Race. Phil and Josh return for E267 of the GSP to provide their usual unfiltered commentary on the motorsports events of the past week. At Barber, Hello Palou returned to his dominant position with a win from pole. The guys discussed the fully green flag event, standout performers behind the champ, and the points heading to the Indy Road Course. Anytime motorsports take place at Texas Motor Speedway, expect Phil and Josh to let you know their thoughts. In this case, why any racing takes place at that dump. Like certain people's facilities, this track is godawful and shouldn't have any part in determining champions in any series outside the Bass masters. Three pseudo demolition derbies took place across the major NASCAR series, with Joey Logano, Kyle Larson (subbing for Connor Zilisch) and Corey Heim win in Cup, XFinity and Trucks. Formula 1 raced at the Dolphins' stadium parking lot Grand Prix after announcing a 16-year extension for nobodies benefit. The most compelling race of the weekend was the drivers doing a parade lap in full size Lego cars. In the sprint race, Lewis Hamilton was a Fred Alonso crash away from possibly taking his second sprint victory due to the variable conditions. In the actual race, Oscar Piastri proved once again why he is the measure to fight versus Fish Lips and look to earn McLaren their first driver's title since Hamilton in 2008. Phil discusses the ApexOne GT3 sim league on Assetto Corsa Competitizione and his breakdowns of the splits plus his chances (or lack thereof). The guys discuss Homestead being announced as the finale for the 2026 NASCAR season, which is a welcome relief for numerous NASCAR fans. They will rotate the race among multiple warmer weather sites, so Las Vegas could finally be an option. Welcome to our motorsports podcast where we discuss F1, IndyCar, IMSA, NASCAR, our own racing adventures, and some other adventures!Piastri and Palou just keep winning in F1 and IndyCar. Dominant performances from the two of them in their respective races. Verstappen was able to put on a defensive show until the clock struck midnight as he was out of tires and then to make matters worse a Virtual Safety Car is deployed which put him back to 4th. Although Palou ran away at Barber, the rest of the field had an exciting race that was interesting to watch from a strategic point of view. When to pit, how quick could guys get their tires warmed up, who could defend with cold tires the best? It had some great lunges and passes that played into high risk, high reward scenarios.Logano takes the win in NASCAR at Texas. Coming up this weekend: NASCAR is at Kansas, IndyCar is racing at Barber, WEC at Spa, IMSA at Laguna Seca, MotoGP at Le Mans, and Supercars at Tasmania.
