Micaela Deegan, Freedom Coach, Latina Empowerment Faith Coach, Women's Empowerment Coach,
Hey friends, welcome to another episode of Coffee Jeans & Jesus! This week's episode is a little different. On this episode I talk about God taking us into new seasons, and sometimes God calls us into something new. Sometimes God challenges us to go out there and pursue what He has placed on our heart. I like to think of it as a stairs. You climb one stair to get to the next, and finally you get to the top of the staircase. We set out to do something, but often times that is just preparing us for the next thing that God has for us.On this episode I share a sweet message that was sent to me by a wonderful woman, and I share what God has been putting on my heart. Friends, this is the last episode of Coffee Jeans & Jesus, and I will share why on this episode. Ever since I gave my life to Jesus, I knew that I was called to reach the girls that didn't know Him, the girls who are like I was, searching for something more. I know now that the something more is Jesus. So although this is the last episode for this podcast, my podcast journey is not over. I have launched a new podcast called The Fearless Mujer, to empower my Latina Sisters to step into their purpose and give themselves permission to be who God created them to be! This is really God-led, you see I know what it's like growing up as a Latina never being validated or affirmed as a little girl, and so I have to be obedient to God's calling. Please feel free to come support me and listen to and share this new podcast, https://thefearlessmujerpodcast.buzzsprout.com/1533835 You can still listen to all of your favorite episodes of Coffee Jeans & Jesus on your favorite platform, and I will still be on Instagram @coffeejeansandjesus but you can also find me at https://www.instagram.com/thefearlessmujerpodcast/Thank you to everyone who supported my journey, thank you to all my wonderful guests - You all are a blessing! Hey friend, welcome back to the virtual coffee table. This week my guest is Andrea Bourgeois. Andrea is an Author / Speaker / Bible Teacher / Co-Founder of Pain into Purpose Summit. She is passionate about giving people tools to discover God's faithfulness by studying God's word, turning pain into purpose, and inspiring others to share their story with the world. She is a high school teacher by day and a writer by night. Her and her husband Brian reside in Southwest Louisiana with their four-year-old son. I really enjoyed chatting with Andrea, she is so inspiring and truly has a heart to uplift and inspire women. Andrea shares with us what it looks like to go through a modern day wilderness, and also shares how our pain can be used for a greater purpose. Andrea tells us how important it is not to be ashamed of the things that you used to be caught up in. She says that nobody's perfect, and we all have a past and our past doesn't define who we are because we're over that, and the Lord has redeemed us from that. - Pretty inspiring, right? One thing I loved about her was her message that we all have an important story to tell. Can't wait for you to listen to this uplifting conversation! Hey friends, so happy to have you back at the virtual coffee table! You're in for a treat, today my brother Lupe Alva and I discuss what happens when you miss the blessing from your parents. The Blessing is a book by John Trent and and Gary Smalley, if you have the updated version you will also see Kari Trent Stageberg on the cover. This book really dives deep into understanding your self-worth, and also preparing your children for positive future relationships, and that includes their relationship with God. It is deeply rooted in scripture, and focuses on five essential elements; a meaningful touch, a spoken message, attaching high value, picturing a special future, and an active commitment. If you are a parent this book is definitely a must! If you come from a broken home, this book is going to give you a lot of insight into your view of relationships, and life. Lupe and I talk about how growing up in a broken home shifted our view of God and people, but also how God has the power to heal, restore, and break the curse of not receiving or giving the blessing in our own family. If you have been questioning why you react a certain way, why your childhood was a certain way, and even why you react in certain ways, this episode is going to encourage you. I hope it really helps you understand that no matter what mistakes you have made, God can still restore your life in every area. Please share this episode with people you love, because something powerful happens when God's children lift each other up! Don't forget to review and subscribe so that you never miss an episode! Hey Friend, today I have a bonus episode of Coffee Jeans & Jesus. I wanted to share a quick word of encouragement today for those of you who have been feeling discouraged. God has been dealing with my heart, and really allowing me to see how other women get discouraged, and feel like they're not good enough. There are many women who compare themselves, and who are believing lies that were spoken over them as children. Many times these things begin to grow inside of us, and as we step into adulthood, we have learned how to function through the criticism that has been spoken over us, and many times that critical voice isn't even our voice. So, if you struggle with comparing yourself, or you struggle with feeling like you're not good enough then I believe this episode is going to bring hope and healing to your heart. If you know that God has called you to do something, but you are struggling with the fear, then this episode is for you. I talk about my own struggle with discouragement in this episode, but also how God gave me the courage to walk in my freedom. I pray you will share this episode with the women in your life, because something truly powerful happens when God's daughters lift each other up!Don't forget to leave me a review and subscribe, so that you never miss an episode. I am here to tell you that it's possible to break free.As someone who grew up in a broken home, I have experienced pain, trauma, abuse, and neglect. Hey Sister! On today's episode you get an up close and personal at the coffee table as Savannah and I have a deep conversation about some sensitive topics. Savannah is the Host of the Wake Pray Slay Podcast, a podcast bringing Biblical truth to women. Our virtual cup of coffee started with podcasting and faith, but then we were led to touch on some deeper topics; such as the Enneagram, Tarot Cards, Yoga, New Age and more. How should Christians feel about these things? We realize that not every Christian may agree with us, however we share from our heart and our own convictions. I hope you will listen with an open heart and open mind! I would love to hear what you think about this topic. Don't forget to leave me a review and subscribe, so that you never miss an episode. Do you think friendships really matter? In this episode Tiffany Zuniga and Sandra Rodriguez; my middle school friends and I have a deep conversation about Godly friendships, faith, and what it looks like to be a Woman of God. This is such an important conversation, because we talk about the hard truth that comes with others expecting us to be perfect. Tiffany Zuniga leads Salvation Home (a church in Bedford, Texas) alongside her husband and Lead Pastor Nate. They have such a beautiful heart to lead others to walk in freedom with Christ. Sandra Rodriguez is a mother, and Entrepreneur. She is owner of Restoration and Financial Growth where she helps people restore and rebuild their credit. If you have ever been hurt by others or have had a bad experience with friendships and even church, this episode will bring you hope and encouragement. I pray this episode truly blesses your heart. I am so excited for everything God has been doing! After hearing from women that they were desiring to seek authentic friendship, and also desiring to go deeper in faith the Girl Chat Community was launched. It was a confirmation for me as to what God had already put so heavy on my heart. Girl Chat With a Purpose Christian Community is a place for women who have a desire for community, connection, and consistent friendship. It's a space for women who have been longing to be a part of a community that feels like authentic sisterhood . The truth is that we all have struggles and as women we need someone in our corner, who is cheering us on! This is where we tackle those hard and challenging topics, while I help you apply practical tips to help you along the way. Each month we will have a Girl Chat Zoom Session so that we can fellowship and grow deeper in the word. This episode is only part of the Girl Chat Session and names have been omitted for privacy. Welcome to this episode of Coffee Jeans & Jesus. This is a Bonus Episode. This is a story that I shared on The Grace Fueled Wife Podcast. I share a story that is very personal, and I haven't been brave enough to talk about this on my podcast. My podcast is meant for encouragement, you hear a lot of positivity. But, you also hear truth and not just Biblical truth. I think truth about the struggles that we have as Christians, and as women in general. So the story you're going to hear is very personal, but my friend from the Grace Fueled Wife Beatriz was generous enough to allow me to have the audio so that I could share it with you all. The story you are going to hear is only part of the story that I shared, so if you would like to hear the whole story you can do so by checking out the Grace Fueled Wife: https://castbox.fm/vb/316243762https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/e26-when-wife-is-unfaithful-healing-from-infidelity/id1499138632?i=1000494926740This is my story of infidelity, and I know that is probably shocking but I never want you to think that I have it all together. I fall short and I mess up. On my podcast I talk about God still having a purpose for you when you make mistakes, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart. This story comes from a painful place, however God has a way of redeeming and reconciling us. If you have been in this place, you are there, or are coming out of it - there is hope. I share this story because I want you to know that no matter what you've done, if you truly repent there is hope in Christ. God will use your story as a message of hope. I hope that you listen to this story with an open heart and an open mind. Please share with someone who needs encouragement. God bless you. Have you ever been through a season of waiting or felt that you were going through a process of waiting? The waiting process can be really uncomfortable! It can be discouraging and frustrating. Just like that cake or dinner you try to prepare; you don't see or taste it until all the ingredients are all put together. In the process of making that meal or cake, it can get messy! That is also what God is doing in us, He is mixing and shaking up all the ingredients. We won't see the finished product until it's ready until it's fully cooked. That is why things get dirty and messy.Philippians 4:11Listen to this episode and share with someone who needs uplifting.Follow me on Instagram @coffeejeansandjesus
