Listeners of Crime and Roses that love the show mention: bachelor recaps, bachelor ette, love the bachelor, watch the bachelor,This month, Megan covers a story that she mentioned in passing a few months ago, and Danielle demanded to know more about. This one's for you, babe! Megan talks about the assassinations of Harvey Milk and George Moscone, and the resulting “White Night” Riots. Harvey Milk was the first non-incumbent, openly gay elected official in the United States, and was elected to the San Francisco Board of Supervisors. Mayor, George Moscone, was his political ally. However, on November 27, 1978, they were gunned down by a coworker, fellow Supervisor, Dan White. The jury's verdict left not only Danielle absolutely shocked, but also shocked the entire city of San Francisco. We made it through this season of the Bachelorette! In the actual finale, we see Rachel and Tino get engaged and break up, we see Gabby and Erich get engaged. We see cheating scandals, but what we don't see is a discussion regarding Erich's high school yearbook photos in Blackface. This refusal to discuss Blackface and racism was incredibly upsetting for both of us, so Megan used it as inspiration for this week's story. Megan also used this opportunity to discuss some of the history of Blackface, so that people can hopefully better understand why it's racist. Alyssa was a beautiful young mother who was headed to work one day in Carrollton, Texas, when she was shot behind the wheel of her car and then was stabbed. Witnesses tell the police that the perpetrator was a 6ft tall Black man, wearing all black and some sort of face covering. However, Alyssa's family knew exactly who they believed to be responsible… (Story Starts at: 16:08) CONTENT WARNING: Domestic Violence Homicide, Discussion of Blackface, and Racism **This case is ongoing, all accused are presumed innocent until proven guilty.** Also, in case you have not yet seen, we are taking a break from the pod. Last week Rachel decided to break up with Aven because she really wanted Tino all along. With Aven's departure, that marked the last contestant of color for this season. Danielle picked Aven as the connection this week. Aven's cast bios on ABC said QUOTE: “Aven is a Yahtzee champ and describes his game play as intense.” Tamara was a mother of three living in the great state of Minnesota. Tamara was unfortunately murdered on December 27, 2010. Details of her disappearance didn't add up until there was a shocking confession… which included an argument over Yahtzee (Story Starts at: 6:47) You can always connect with us at: linktr.ee/CrimeandRoses. We are bringing back the tarot readings for every episode of Gabby and Rachel's season of The Bachelorette. Megan asked the Final Rose Tarot cards what we can expect from this season. Megan pulled the 9 of Mirrors aka Blindsided. The name truly says it all, and y'all, one of our Bachelorettes was certainly blindsided. This episode was truly dramatic. We see two engagements, one break-up, one happy couple, one newly single Bachelorette, yet zero conversations about Blackface. Honestly, hearing and seeing Tino speak to Rachel this way was pretty triggering, we've both certainly been there. Jesse announces the next Bachelor, and surprise, it's Zach Shallcross who gives out his first impression rose. All of this, and yet, we don't get any time to discuss why Blackface is blatantly racist…? We finally can have a BIPOC highlight in this episode, after weeks of just seeing white men (plus Aven). In this episode we saw Aven make a surprise appearance and we had Bachelorette royalty with Michelle in the building. Also, Zach met 5 women from his upcoming season, including the gorgeous Brianna! We are absolutely disgusted that there was no mention of Erich's recent controversy: wearing Blackface. This franchise has not lived up to its promise of diversity and inclusion by refusing to discuss this important topic. Lest we forget, Erich is engaged to a woman of color. Last week during Fantasy Suite dates, we saw Jason and Gabby get to play some tennis, in what felt like a very normal type of date for them. Also, it's very important to note that Jason was a pretty bad ass tennis player in his own right, and was a NCAA All American in college! Danielle again came in clutch for Megan and found a tennis related story on TikTok, thanks girl! Monica Seles was also a badass on the tennis courts. She starts training at 5 years old, and plays in her first pro tournament at 14. Her first year on the professional women's tour she ends up ranked six IN THE WORLD. Her career is on the rise! She and Steffi Graff are back and forth with titles and wins, that is, until the Citizen Cup of 1993, where things would take a drastic turn for Monica. We are bringing back the tarot readings for every episode of Gabby and Rachel's season of The Bachelorette. Megan asked the Final Rose Tarot cards what we can expect from this season. Megan pulled the 10 of Mirrors aka Rejected. This card is all about despair, loss, resistance to change, and hysterics… This DEFINITELY fits. This week is the first part of the finale, which really could have been an email. We see the conclusion of the rose ceremony, where Zach pulled Rachel to chat. We also see Aven meet the family, which goes well at first and then takes a turn for the worst. Erich meets Gabby's family and we get to see our favorite, Grandpa John. Tino meets Rachel's family and he thinks it goes really well, but we think it was awkward sauce. We see Aven and Rachel's final date and breakup. We are bringing back the tarot readings for every episode of Gabby and Rachel's season of The Bachelorette. Megan asked the Final Rose Tarot cards what we can expect from this season. Megan pulled the Six of Rings aka Quality Time for part 1 and we think it applies for part 2 as well. This card is all about giving and receiving, generosity, and offering. And honestly? We love that for Gabby and Rachel, truly. This week we are continuing our conversation about Fantasy Suites. We see the fall out from the Erich and Gabby bridge rendezvous. We see Gabby and Jason (AKA Josh, because Danielle still can't get it right) have their date, which leads to a breakup in the morning. We also see Rachel and Zach. In the morning Zach's whole demeanor has changed and he needs Jesse to help figure things out. We see Gabby tell Erich he is the only one left and we get a cliffhanger rose ceremony, when Zach interrupts to talk to Rachel. OAN: we finished Jake Pavelka's season the Bachelor on Patreon. This week we're talking about the first part of the Fantasy Suite Dates! We see Rachel and Aven, Gabby and Erich, Rachel and Tino, and Gabby and Johnny. It seems like tensions are high for Gabby and Erich who later have a secret rendezvous on the bridge that Megan dramatically reenacts. Tensions are still high from Hometown dates for Rachel and Tino, his family is really not her biggest fan. Aven's date is constantly interrupted by the insecure sweating and sobbing by Tino. Last week on the Bachelorette we saw Men Tell All (which was a snooze fest). One thing that we can always count on from the Bachelorette, is the bromance between the men. Danielle is telling a story based on friendship. Sarah Stern went missing in December of 2016. Her friend, Liam, was the last to see her alive and his alibi checked out, so he was law enforcement's greatest asset. It wasn't until another friend came forward, agreed to go undercover to record Liam, that the true story was brought to life. Liam had a disgusting plot to take Sarah's life for money. First of all, we cannot believe it is our 200th episode. Thank you all so much for your continued support. We love you and we mean it. Last week on the Bachelorette, it was Hometown Date week! We joined Tyler and Rachel in Tyler's hometown of Wildwood, New Jersey, the location for this case. This week Megan covers the story of the death of Susan Negersmith, who went to Wildwood for a fun weekend with friends over Memorial Day Weekend 1990. Unfortunately, Susan would never be seen alive again. Her assault and death would go unsolved for nearly twenty eight years, and without the relentless advocacy of her father, Kent, might still be unsolved today. This story remains ongoing. All accused persons remain innocent until proven guilty. (Story Starts at: 6:40) Also, thanks Danielle for finding this case! We are bringing back the tarot readings for every episode of Gabby and Rachel's season of The Bachelorette. Megan asked the Final Rose Tarot cards what we can expect from this season. Megan pulled the Queen of Roses aka the Beauty Queen. This card is all about self-confidence, self motivation, and independence. This week we see an episode of filler. We start with Aven's hometown, which is hella disrespectful for them to leave off last week. We get that they didn't have anything to talk about, but they could have picked someone else to do dirty. We also see men talk shit about men that are not there, hot seats from Logan and Nate. We also see lots of ads for shit we can't afford, or don't want, and do not care about. The end. We highlight BIPOC contestants because we believe it is important to highlight those who we see on our screen, because representation matters. This week we are highlighting Aven. We saw little from Aven when he wasn't making out with Rachel or shirtless. It was hella disrespectful to not show us his hometown date with the rest, but really enjoyed his parents. We are bringing a Patreon story to the masses as an example of the types of cases that we cover as bonus content! If you want more of these high profile and in-depth cases, make sure to check out our Patreon options. Michael Vick was an incredible athlete from a very young age. He worked hard to build a life for himself that was out of the ordinary for the community he came from. But his idea to create and fund a criminal enterprise surrounding vicious and inhumane dog fighting became his downfall and legacy. We are bringing back the tarot readings for every episode of Gabby and Rachel's season of The Bachelorette. Megan asked the Final Rose Tarot cards what we can expect from this season. Megan pulled the Eight of Flutes aka The Self Elimination. This card is all about awareness, walking away from what doesn't serve you, and making those difficult decisions. We've made it to hometowns! Because of our hometown football team (Falcons Rise Up), Megan is completely unable to watch this episode. But, have no fear, Danielle was still able to watch and she recaps it all for you! Going into this episode, we expected seven hometown dates; we really get six(ish)... We head to New Orleans for a hometown date with Jason and all of Bachelor Nation falls in love with his mother and father. Zach's hometown date also goes really well, and Rachel gets to meet his Uncle Kronk. Johnny flips the script and has Gabby meet his family before the date portion. We meet and fall in love with Erich's family and his father Allan, who passed away in early July. Things start to go left with Tyler's hometown date on the boardwalk in Wildwood, New Jersey… only continue to go left during Tino's date, where Rachel is feeling hated. Last week on the Bachelorette the episode focused way too much on Logan. He decided he wasn't feeling it with Rachel, wanted to switch to Gabby's “team” (his words not ours we hate it actually) and created a sort of love triangle. Logan is a Southern California guy who grew up surfing and kayaking. Which led Megan down a rabbit hole across the waters to another location frequented by surfers, Hawaii. This week, Megan tells the story of Catherine Walker, who truly sounds like a sweet and loving person. She was murdered in 2014 in her Honolulu, Hawaii home, when her Army Medic husband, Michael, was working. Soon after her death, the truth comes out… and Michael was not the man Catherine thought he was. This week finds us in Amsterdam! There is only ONE week until hometowns and we have no idea how we got here. This week we see the pressure mount, because a rose this week means hometowns next week. We see a heartbreaking one on one with Gabby and Nate. Gabby cried … Nate cried … Danielle cried. We also see a one on one between Rachel and Zach (we stan a therapy king). We also see two group dates, one with whips and one with cheese. We say goodbye to Ethan and Nate this week. We highlighted Ethan in episode 193 and Nate in episode 187. Hometowns are ONLY two weeks away on The Bachelorette! We feel like we are in a time warp and this season is so fast but also so slow. The last couple of weeks, Gabby has shared her experience with her estrangement from her mother. We appreciate her openness in sharing the way she processed her trauma, it is so important for people to see. This week Danielle covers a story of a really bad dad. Mick Philpott never contributed to the upbringing or financial burden created by his 17 children with 5 different women. When his “mistress” left him and took her children, Mick came up with a diabolical plan that would take the lives of 6 of his other children by fire. Megan pulled the Three of Roses aka The Next Destination. This card is all about progression, expansion, flourishing, and of course, travel. And our new destination of the week is Bruges, Belgium! Unfortunately, the episode focuses on Logan WAY TOO MUCH. We see Logan say he wants to be with Gabby over Rachel and how that affects all the men. We see another canceled date from Rachel. We also see some connections growing even stronger on the love boat! Rachel and Aven explore the city in their one-on-one, and Johnny and Gabby have a beer themed spa date. We highlight BIPOC contestants because we believe it is important to highlight those who we see on our screen, because representation matters. This week we are highlighting our fav Ethan! This week is a listener suggestion! Unfortunately, Danielle didn't tell Megan who submitted this recommendation so we can't shout you out but we so very much and we sincerely appreciate the suggestion. This story takes us near Tampa, Florida, which happens to be the ABC bio hometown of two contestants this season - Hayden and Jordan H. This story begins in 1975 when 15 year-old Elaine Ziegler goes missing one night from a campground near Spring Hill, Florida. Five years later, 21 year-old Sandra Graham disappears in Tampa. About a month later, 16 year-old Theresa Fillingim also disappeared from the Tampa area. This case is then connected to the 1980 murder of Rene' Saling in Watsonville, California? This week the ladies say adieu to L.A. and bonjour à Paris, the City of Love. This week we see one-on-one dates with Gabby and Jason, plus Rachel and Tino. We see Rachel's … I mean … Gabby's boxing group date. We also see the most AWKWARD group date, where the men flirt in weird ways, Rachel smells armpits and the men french their own hands. WTF. Last week we were SHOOKETH to the core, when Jordan V. was sent home on a one-on-one with Rachel. Jordan is from Georgia, so we are covering a hometown case. Thanks Kelcee for the recommendation, if you have a story you want us to cover, send us an email or DM. Sparkle Rai was pregnant after recently marrying the love of her life and moving to Georgia. Her murder remained unsolved for 3 years, until someone came forward with a story that would highlight the most unlikely suspect, her father-in-law. Law enforcement would soon find out that Sparkle's in-laws, who she thought were dead, did not approve of her marriage because of her race. Her father-in-law would stop at NOTHING to make sure she didn't join the family. (Story Starts at: 9:38) You can always connect with us at: linktr.ee/CrimeandRoses. We are bringing back the tarot readings for every episode of Gabby and Rachel's season of The Bachelorette. Megan asked the Final Rose Tarot cards what we can expect from this season. Megan pulled the Ace of Rings card, aka the First Date. This card is all about the beginnings of a relationship. We think we see the start of something real on each one on one date this week. This week each Bachelorette has a one-one one date and we also see the largest group date in Bachelor Nation history! Rachel and Zach have a one-on-one date hosted by the Queer Eye's Karamo, who styles them for a big movie premiere. They go see “Me and You” and it's all home movies and it's incredibly adorable and wholesome, a refreshing change for this franchise. We also see Gabby have a one-on-two date with Erich and America's Grandpa, Grandpa John! They have a sound bath and go bowling; Gabby really opens up about her relationship with her mother. The group date is a photo shoot with our fave Bachelor Nation Photographer, Franco Lacosta, but don't worry, it's not a wedding photo shoot. This week's rose ceremony is truly one for the books, the women are ready to go their own way on their journeys to love, and we see men decline the roses. We highlight BIPOC contestants because this show has a horrible history with diversity and inclusion. We believe it is important to highlight those who we see on our screen, because representation matters. This week we are highlighting our guest host, Karamo Brown! Karamo Karega Brown is an American television host, reality television personality, author, actor, and activist. He began his career in 2004 on the MTV reality show The Real World: Philadelphia, becoming the first openly gay black man cast on a reality show. Last week was the premiere of our babes Gabby and Rachel's season of the Bachelorette! As always that means gimmicky limo entrances and funny jokes on arrival. One contestant, Jacob, came riding in on a white horse, shirtless with his hair blowing in the wind a la Fabio, the model who graced the cover of hundreds of romance novels. This week Megan tells the story of the murder of Fabio Sementilli, an award winning hair stylist and beauty industry executive. Fabio was dedicated to his career, but his family always came first, and his world revolved around them. He was full of personality and charm. Unfortunately, Fabio was stabbed to death the afternoon of January 23, 2017 in his Woodland Hills, California home. NOTE: This case is ongoing and all parties are innocent until proven guilty. It's premiere week of a double Bachelorette season! We are so excited to be back! Megan was able to find multiple connections with the story she tells this week. We met Gabby and Rachel on Clayonaise's season of the Bachelor and he grew up in Missouri. Also, this story involves two women working together towards a common, but evil, goal. The Staudte family was a family of 6 in Springfield, Missouri when the father and husband, Mark Staudte died very suddenly in 2012, his death is ruled natural causes. Tragedy hit the family again in 2012 when the oldest son and brother, Shaun, also dies. Suspicions grow when Sarah, the oldest daughter is admitted to the hospital in 2013 and police receive an anonymous tip that Sarah's illness was no accident … (Story Starts at: 16:15) You can always connect with us at: linktr.ee/CrimeandRoses. It's FINALLY the end of the off season, the Bachelorette is BACK BABY. Join us on Patreon for the full cast bios starting at the $3 level, as we talk about the men of Gabby and Rachel's season of the Bachelorette. We are bringing back the tarot readings for every episode of Gabby and Rachel's season of The Bachelorette. Megan asked the Final Rose Tarot cards what we can expect from this season. Megan pulled the King of Rings, AKA the Jeweler. This card is all about opulence and luxury, certainly two things our babes deserve. In true Bachelor fashion, premiere night is all about the limo entrances. We get some cute and cringe entrances. We also get to see our first cocktail party of the season, which helps us get to know these men a bit better. Lastly, we both share our Crime of the episode (aka the parts we hate), and our Rose of the episode (aka the highlight). Danielle has a fun little “He's a 10” game too. We highlight BIPOC contestants because this show has a horrible history with diversity and inclusion. We believe it is important to highlight those who we see on our screen, because representation matters. This week we are highlighting Mario! Mario received the first impression rose from Gabby, after dancing his way out of the limo and locking lips. This is a sneak peek of our July 2022 True Crime Patreon Exclusive content. You can hear the full episode here. Starting at the $3 level of our Patreon membership! Megan covers a case suggestion from listener and Patreon Mia! Thanks, Mia! This story is incredibly difficult to tell. Cooper Harris was a beautiful blonde-haired toddler, taken from this life too early. Cooper was only 22 months old when he died of hyperthermia, after being left alone in his father's hot car in June 2014 in the Home Depot headquarters parking lot, in Vinings, Georgia. Both Megan and Danielle remember the day this story broke, and when we tell you that the coverage was everywhere, we mean it. This story has recently been back in the news, and may take this story on a whole different path soon enough. Of course, we will keep y'all updated as updates come in. Until one women's tale of survival led law enforcement to an alleged serial killer targeting vulnerable women. After putting the pieces together, one man is alleged to have killed a total of 18 elderly people. (Story Starts at: 22:15) You can always connect with us at: linktr.ee/CrimeandRoses. We are still on a break from the Bachelor but connecting our stories to the franchise. We are already looking forward to Bachelor in Paradise this season, and Megan bases her story this week on someone we are very likely to see on the sand, Genevieve Parisi. Genevieve is from Massachusetts, now living in Southern California. The Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, in Boston, Massachusetts, is the home of the vast personal art collection of Isabella Stewart Gardner. Over St. Patrick's Day weekend of 1990, thirteen pieces of art were stolen and this heist was the highest value museum heist for 29 years. We are still on a break from the Bachelor but connecting our stories to the franchise. Danielle heard of this case because of its interesting boy band connection, and we are reminded of Listen to Your Heart! We're also reminded of our boy band manager, the naked one, BIP contestant, and Mari's fiancé Kenny. Danielle tells the story of the murder of Kari Lynn Nixon. Kari disappeared within a 5-minute timeframe, blocks away from her home. At first, authorities weren't sure if she ran away or was abducted. Law enforcement chased leads all over the country, including a lead connecting law enforcement with the boy band New Kids on the Block when Kari's family and law enforcement thought they saw her in their music video “My Favorite Girl.” It was a surprising and out-of-the-blue confession that finally brought the family some answers. We are still on a break from the Bachelor but connecting our stories to the franchise. This week, a Bach Nation couple got married, FINALLY, but not for lack of trying. Congratulations to Bachelorette 12 JoJo Fletcher, and her final rose, Jordan Rogers. Their wedding is what Megan uses as a backdrop for this week's story. Megan tells the story of the Murder of Molly Watson. Molly was just two days away from marrying her longtime partner when she was shot and killed. We are still on a break from the Bachelor, but connecting our stories to the franchise. Stagecoach 2022 was held at the end of April, it's a country music festival that Bachelor Nation always seems to flock to. This year, Blake Hortsmann (aka Balaockaye), performed as a DJ, and the crowd seemed to love it. Blake and Stagecoach also had a whole storyline on Bachelor In Paradise Season 6. This week's story is for Blake, who calls Denver, Colorado home with a dope roommate Elyse! This week, Megan tells the story of the murder of Alan Berg. Alan was an outspoken Jewish talk radio host, whose show on KOA AM 850 in Denver could be heard in over 30 states. Sources say that Alan had an abrasive on-air personality, and was always ready to call out anti-Semitism and other forms of racism. We are still on a break from the Bachelor, but connecting our stories to the franchise. Bachelor contestants tend to migrate to certain cities after the show (San Diego, Nashville, etc). New York seems to be the new hot spot, so Danielle covers a NY case. Danielle also heard the story while watching “Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty,” which she says is a great show on HBO. Basketball was a theme during Matt James and Queen Michelle Young's season. Harlem, New York has fluctuated between a booming city of black excellence and a place of extreme violence, drugs, and crime. In 1964, weeks after the Civil Rights Act, James Powell, a 15-year-old black boy, was killed by a police officer. The death outraged the city and led to days of protest. We are still on our Bachelor break, and still bringing you stories connected to the whole of Bachelor Nation. We know that The Bachelor franchise gives contestants very little access to the outside world when they are on the show. This is Danielle's inspiration and connection for this week's story. This is a non-murder true crime story. Dennis Wayne Hope currently spends virtually every waking minute alone in a jail cell smaller than a compact parking space. Decades of isolation have led to hallucinations, chronic pain, and thoughts of taking his life. While incarcerated, for a non-violent offense after several prison escapes, he is trying to bring light to the issue of prolonged solitary confinement and the Supreme Court of the United States may be listening. We are still on our Bachelor break, and still bringing you stories connected to the whole of Bachelor Nation. Big thanks to Crime and Closets for recommending this story for us to cover! Also, our King Nayte went to college at Eastern Washington University, near Spokane, not far from the location of this case. Megan tells the story of the murder of Jason Michael Fox. Jason was a sweet, creative, and compassionate 19-year-old who was lured to hang out with “friends” in September 2020. These people were NOT Jason's friends and are accused of taking his life. We are still on a Bachelor break, after covering Season 26 of The Bachelor. But, we are still connecting true crime stories to the whole of Bachelor Nation. Clayton's season was literally a copy / paste season. Bachelor Nation made several connections to Clayton and Colton Underwood's season. In addition, their names are so similar that Danielle, along with most of Bachelor Nation, continued to confuse them. So this week Danielle is telling you about a murderer named Colton. Jennifer Cave was a beautiful young woman, trying to figure out living on her own and unfortunately, struggling with addiction. Her addiction led her to meeting Colton, who on the outside looking in, seemed to be a “good guy”, but instead, had a very dark side. We are in the off-season, and all bets are off. However, we are still connecting each story to someone or something within the Bachelor Franchise. This week Megan tells the story based in Norfolk, Virginia, and several recent contestants call this larger area home, including Susie Evan, Marlena Wesh, Claire Heilig, Victoria Fuller, and Ryan Claytor. Megan tells the story of the murder of Michelle Moore-Bosko, who married her high school sweetheart, William. Michelle and William were still newlyweds when Michelle was murdered. The investigation and multiple trials that happen are a total and complete miscarriage of justice for everyone involved. A total of eight men are wrongfully accused of this horrible crime while the real killer remains at large. Four of the men involved Danial Williams, Joseph Dick Jr., Eric Wilson, and Derek Tice are wrongfully convicted on shoddy police work and coerced confessions. We made it y'all! We finished season 26 of The Bachelor. Thank you for sticking with us. On the finale and After the Final Rose (ATFR) we saw the conclusion of the segment that has been teased all season long when we saw Clayon tell Gabby and Rachel that he was in love and was intimate with both of them. In addition, we see Clayton basically living a double life, telling Gabby and Rachel he was in love with them and telling Susie he loved her the most. This week Danielle tells you of a traditional love triangle, with a twist. Jennifer Ji came to live the American Dream, with her rich and successful boyfriend. The only problem was, her boyfriend also had a wife and kids in the next town over. Every second of this high-profile case was covered by the media in the US and China. Last week was… a lot. We had Women Tell All and the Fantasy Suites. Because of the way things ended with the Fantasy Suites episode, Megan decided to base a story on Susie, who is from Virginia Beach, Virginia. There were several options for stories to choose from, and we put it to a vote on our Instagram stories, and this is the option chosen by YOU! Janice Pietropola and Lynn Seethaler were two young women who just wanted a girl's week at the beach. When they didn't return home to Pittsburgh, their families started to get worried, and when a hotel employee walked into their room, they were met with an absolutely horrifying scene. We are bringing back the tarot readings for every episode of Clayton's season of The Bachelor. Megan asked the Final Rose Tarot cards what we can expect from this week of The Bachelor. Megan pulled the Knight of Flutes, AKA the Hopeless Romantic card. This card is all about emotions and romance… and this episode definitely has emotions. In the second part of the finale (Tuesday), we see Clayton's desperate attempt to win Susie back. We see Clayton be read to filth by Gabby and we see Rachel literally broken when Clayton breaks up with both of them TOGETHER. We also see the After the Final Rose, with Clayton in the hot seat and find out where his journey for love ends… and apparently, that's with Susie, AKA Hannah Beige, who he loves the most. We have to say it now, thank you SO MUCH for sticking with us this season and the last 2 years that we have been doing this podcast. We really love you and we really mean it! We are bringing back the tarot readings for every episode of Clayton's season of The Bachelor. Megan asked the Final Rose Tarot cards what we can expect from this week of The Bachelor. Megan pulled the Five Roses, AKA the Competition card. This card is all about tensions being high, but understanding how to remain above it all. It's clear that tensions are high. It's also very clear that Clayton did not take the card's advice about remaining above it all. There is so much to discuss that we had to break this into two parts. In this episode, we break down night one (Monday) of the finale. We see the “rose ceremony from hell” and the scene teased all season, where Clayton tells Gabby and Rachel that he was in love and slept with both of them. We also see the aftermath, both Gabby and Rachel stay, which includes meeting Clayton's family the very next day. We then see the start of Clayton, being on some fuck shit, and THEN deciding to chase Susie, AKA Hannah Beige. To say we are upset by this point is an understatement. Last week was hometowns! We saw Serene thriving in her hometown, Oklahoma City (with her brother Oklahoma Obama), so Danielle is covering an Oklahoma-based case. Danielle covers the Osage Indigenous Murder, or "Reign of Terror" that took place in the 1920s. Due to an oil boom in Osage County, Oklahoma, Osage Indigenous people became the richest people in the world and at the same time, were the target for murder by greedy jealous white men in the area. We are bringing back the tarot readings for every episode of Clayton's season of The Bachelor. Megan asked the Final Rose Tarot cards what we can expect from this week of The Bachelor. Megan pulled the Queen of Roses, AKA the Beauty Queen card. This card is all asserting your confidence. We're thinking the card is all about Susie, the pageant queen, and Disney Princess, who definitely asserts a message through this episode. We don't even know where to start... We couldn't wait to talk about everything that went down (or didn't go down), in the Fantasy Suites. We recap Rachel and Gabby's dates, as they apologize in advance with sex hair. Then we get to the juicy stuff and chat, in-depth, about Susie. Chile, this is all such a mess. This week we are highlighting Teddi! She was very open and vulnerable about her experience on the show and upbringing during the hot seat. While we wish she would have directly addressed Clayton's comment about her not looking like a virgin, we did like the sex-positive things she had to say. Make sure to follow her here! We are bringing back the tarot readings for every episode of Clayton's season of The Bachelor. Megan asked the Final Rose Tarot cards what we can expect from this week of The Bachelor. Megan pulled the 3 of Roses, AKA the Next Destination card. This card is all about progression and looking ahead on a global scale. We're thinking the card is about Mexico and certain Bachelor in Paradise auditions. Honestly, this was a mess. It was messy and just a mess. It was truly chaos. We see lots of recaps of the season, which feels like we saw it yesterday. Shanae gets WAY TOO MUCH screen time and doesn't address any of the terrible things she said about ADHD. We hear the women screech at each other. We see some pretty cold hot seats, but we do get some IG DM tea from two ladies. Overall, we are just glad that the end is finally near. We are excited to see some of these women on BIP, Megan is standing firm in her boycott if You-Know-Who is on the beach. This week we are highlighting Teddi! She was very open and vulnerable about her experience on the show and upbringing during the hot seat. While we wish she would have directly addressed Clayton's comment about her not looking like a virgin, we did like the sex-positive things she had to say. Make sure to follow her here! Last week we saw and absolutely hated the forced "therapy" group date that the women had to endure in Vienna, Austria. Megan tells the story of the life and murder of Hermine Hug-Hellmuth, one of the very very first child psychoanalysts, from Vienna. Hermine was murdered at the hand of one of the children she frequently studied and observed in her work. This story has twists you do and do not see coming. CONTENT WARNING: Brief mention of suicide (Story Starts at: 16:43). Next week Danielle is going to cover a story based on the hometown dates on The Bachelor. The ladies are from the following locations: Gabby (Denver, Colorado), Serene (Oklahoma City, Oklahoma), Rachel (Clermont, Florida), and Susie (Virginia Beach, Virginia). If you have a story you would like us to cover, based on one of these locations, send us a DM on Instagram or Twitter, or an email at CrimeandRoses@Gmail.com Links discussed in the Episode: 28 Days of Black History - a quick daily email to learn about Black history, all February!
