The Life Group as a Human Form or Collective Person The human form is the Divine form, and is that which comes into being as the only possible expression of the Lord's life within those He is creating. This means that on the largest or smallest scale of creation all is organised or strives towards a more complete and thereby perfect, human form. In Heaven and Hell 73 it's explained that “Heaven in its whole complex resembles one man, as does any one society in heaven. From the sequence of reasons there set forth, it follows that this is equally true of each angel. As heaven is man in the greatest form, and a society of heaven in a less form, so is an angel in the least form. For, in the most perfect form such as that of heaven is, there is a likeness of the whole in the part and of the part in the whole”    Although we can relate to being supported by the Text at the level of our personal work, the idea that we are part of a collective human being that takes form as we meet together can be rather abstract, and difficult to grasp. The descriptions of heaven as a Grand Human composed of countless societies, with each society being a fully functioning human form composed of individual angels, provides an illustration of how the group can be, and of our function and use in it. This requires a perceptual shift where our sense of person expands from being limited to a single individual to incorporate many individuals functioning as one, in support of a common use. Expanding our sense of what actually constitutes a human being is important to contemplate and asks where our sense of self sits in relation to that. Logopraxis group life is concerned to provide an environment that leads us towards an ever-deepening sense of the Lord in our collective midst, as the Word. The more conscious we are of working - not only for ourselves, but for others in the group, and for the group as a whole - the deeper will become our sense of spiritual community; and the spiritual literacy skills and methods discussed throughout the Workbook are very much part of this shift in environment. The Lord is looking to be present in our midst, and He is present when the things of the Word are made the basis for our being together. The collective human that forms when a Life Group meets together is brought into being as we share our direct experience of the Word working in our lives; forming a sacred space where the Word can be known as the Lord.               “By the Lord's name is meant the Word, for the Lord is the Word” (Arcana Coelestia 5502; John 1:1) In the very act of meeting, what we bring from our experience of the Word's operation in our life becomes a live conjoining presence, creating connections: Between individuals in the group Between the group and the spiritual world Between the group and the Lord It is this lived experience of the Word, when shared with others, that serves as the soul or life of the group. It's what connects each to the other. So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son. (John 1:14 NLT) Can you imagine looking at God in human form? During the earthly ministry of Jesus, we can imagine the disciples walking along with Him and looking at Him all the time. The apostle John wrote of Jesus, “So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son” (John 1:14 NLT). The disciples watched Him. They heard His words. Yet interestingly, in all the Gospel accounts, not one person gave a physical description of Jesus. The Bible suggests that Jesus was ordinary in appearance, because Isaiah 53 says, “There was nothing beautiful or majestic about his appearance, nothing to attract us to him” (verse 2 NLT). In other words, when Jesus walked this earth, He was an ordinary-looking man. He didn’t have a striking appearance. Nor did He have a permanent halo. In fact, when Judas Iscariot was about to identify Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane, he said, “You will know which one to arrest when I greet him with a kiss” (Matthew 26:48 NLT). Why did Judas need to say that? Because they wouldn’t have been able to find Jesus in the crowd. Judas was essentially saying, “Let me point Him out to you.” This makes it all the more extraordinary that God Almighty became an ordinary human being, a person just like us. He came to this earth. He walked among us. John was saying, “We walked with Him. We talked with Him. And we want you to know that you can have fellowship with Him just like we had fellowship with Him.” This isn’t a privilege only afforded to first-century believers. It’s one that is indeed available to twenty-first century believers too. We can know Jesus. Yet for some, God can seem so distant and unapproachable. But Jesus, who was God, came to show us what the Father is like. Jesus stands apart from all other prophets, teachers, and so-called gurus. Jesus wasn’t a man who became God. Rather, He was God who became a man. And it never will happen again. If you want to know what God is like, then take a long look at Jesus. You don’t need to look further. If you want to know how God feels about children, then look at Jesus taking the little ones into His arms, blessing them, and saying, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children” (Matthew 19:14 NLT). And if you want to know how God feels about sinners, then look at Jesus reaching out to the down-and-outers of society and showing them love and compassion. We see Him going out of His way to make time for people that no one else wanted anything to do with. Thus, if you want to know what God thinks about anything, then look at the story of Jesus. “1. Don't tell me my child will grow out of it It's not that I don't want to agree with you—or even that I don't think there are elements which he will grow out of—but as an autism mom, I spend so much of my life setting him up for success. We do therapies, food restrictions, sensory diets, chiropractic care, ABA therapy, and when you pass it off like it's a silly phase, that just makes me feel like you think I'm overreacting. That makes me want to avoid talking about my son's progress and struggles with you, because you so clearly do not understand the nature of his diagnosis. 2. Just let me have a bad day You don't always have to tell me that “even typically developing children do that.” Yes, I'm aware. As a parent of typically and atypically developing children, I am fully aware that ALL children have bad days. I am also aware that mothers get to vent to their friends about it without being corrected that the frustrating behavior is “typical.” Guess what, I'm a mom, and sometimes my struggle is not related to my son's diagnosis. Sometimes, we're just having a bad day, and I would like to be able to share that with a friend without being corrected and informed that said behavior is well within the “normal” range. “Normal” kids are hard sometimes, and I have my limitations. Please allow me to have a bad day. 3. Please don't give me advice on discipline You know how you have that one friend who has no children and always tells you, “When I have kids, I will never give them candy, and they will go to bed when they're told, and they will pick up all of their autism toys and never talk back” and you think…”OMG, you are so clueless. I can't believe I used to be that clueless.” That's how I feel when you try to give me disciplinary tips for my son. Trust me…it's not that simple. It's just not. 4. Forgive me for talking about it so much As much as I wish we had gotten the diagnosis, signed up for “treatment,” and then everything was business as usual, that's not how it works. At first I cringed at how people used a title like “Autism Mom” or seemed to talk so insistently about their child's diagnosis. In an effort to never become one of “those moms,” I was avoiding a lot of conversations and topics. But when you have a child with autism, it becomes an inseparable part of your world. Imagine if you tried to avoid implying your child's gender in any conversation. Give it a try—you may find that it just seems to come up more than you expect. Sometimes, I may feel I need to give you a little insight into the diagnosis to help you see how big a milestone is, or how discouraging a setback may be. Sometimes I'm just telling you about my day. I know my son is more than autism. Please don't think that I feel it defines him or that he is limited to it. It is simply a part of him and a huge part of my family, but I see him for all of his individuality and abilities. I know that he is bigger than autism and that it cannot hold him back. 5. Ask me questions I want you to ask questions, because I know that if you better understand why my son does or doesn't do things, you will have a greater love for him. You will have a deeper compassion, and you will better see how amazing he is. My son is so incredible. You may simply see a child who easily tantrums and doesn't talk much, but if you asked me questions, I could explain to you why we think he isn't speaking, and how we tried to use Picture Exchange Communication System(PECS) cards for communication, but he wasn't interested because he developed his own communication system. I could tell you how brilliantly he communicates without saying a word. All of us encounter difficult situations that drain us emotionally or even spiritually. Not only does that destroy us but it also imprisons us by preventing us from seeing a way out. Humans tend to be selfish a lot of the time. We just consider our own interests and we prioritize ourselves over assisting others but does God call for us to do that? When you put others needs before your own you become righteous in God's eyes and receive benefits in accordance with your deeds. God will reward you and provide for your necessities if you help those that are around you in need.

This “man” who was standing before Joshua with his sword drawn in his hand was clearly no mere man, nor was he merely a created angel in human form. Instead, he was undoubtedly a Divine Person, physically manifest in the form of a man. Therefore, this is no one less than the Son of God, the Lord Jesus Christ, manifested as a “theophany.” This reality is further clarified by the fact that Joshua paid homage, and even worship, unto him by his calling him Lord, and by acknowledging the ground on which he stood as holy.

In this audio, Swami Mukundananda relates the teachings of Bhagavad Gita by explaining the concepts of Life and Death from the soul's perspective. We are all eternal souls who have taken this Human Form. When we consider ourselves as souls, we don't need to fear Death. What we call Death is merely the transmigration of the soul from one body to another. Even in our current life, we have changed bodies multiple times. We had the body of a child, teenager, Adult, and so on. The wise persons who consider themselves as souls will never ever get deluded by birth and death. When we realize God, we will be freed from this cycle of birth and death.

Your process, how you interact with your clients, how you like to very carefully gauge where you gather your reference material to keep you more authentic and not just echoing the voices of other artists.    I feel like you have to develop yourself as an artist, and you can become an amazing artist, but once you are an amazing artist, have you also done some personal development in the meantime?   If you arrive at 40, 45 and you feel like, oh, I feel like I'm still 20 because I haven't really done anything but just, like, tattooing and art and tattooing and art and tattooing and art, then at some point you're like, maybe there's space for some other stuff here that makes me grow as a person.   I still draw, I still paint, but not nearly at this pace I used to, only because I'm striking a balance, like, gosh, can I do something else today besides art? Can I go ride? I like the mountain bike, too, and anything. Just go for a walk.
