When you are striving to be both who God says you are and who the world says you should be, that's not balance, THAT'S BONDAGE - according to Michelle Myers and Somer Phoebus, authors of the book SHE WORKS HIS WAY, and co-founders of the discipleship community by the same name.   I had the honor to talk to both of these working women who are also wives and mothers about the struggle of climbing the ladders at home and at work while wondering where God's commandments fit into this crazy hustle culture we live in.     If you have found yourself exhausted, frustrated, and empty from all of your efforts....this episode is about to set you FREE!!!   _________________________________________________ Order and read your copy of SHE WORKS HIS WAY : https://sheworkshisway.com/book/   Join the discipleship community for working women: https://sheworkshisway.com   Watch this interview on YouTube! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lmm1uNr1IYQ   _________________________________________________   Want to learn how to EDIT YOUR MOBILE PICS LIKE A PRO? Have you ever taken a break from Instagram (or any social media platform)? If I were to ask you what the top 5 reasons for needing a break were, I can bet some of them match mine. In this episode, I pull back the curtains and invite you to listen to the most honest and vulnerable podcast episode I've ever recorded. Building a brand and business on Instagram has consumed the year of 2021 for me. It's been great, there's been a ton of growth, I've connected with wonderful people, and it's been fun! However, something is just not quite right in my soul and I'm stepping back for a moment to get clarity on just what that thing is. My mental health is far more valuable than my constant presence on Instagram. Hey, if Simone Biles can do it for herself...we can too! I'll leave you with this scripture that best describes my "why"....but you've gotta press play to hear the whole story! Matthew 6:19-24 19 “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. 22 “The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy,[c] your whole body will be full of light. 23 But if your eyes are unhealthy,[d] your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness! 24 “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money. ________________________________________________________________________ SEND ME A MESSAGE: paigeewingstrategies@gmail.com GET MY FREE E-BOOK "EDIT MOBILE PICS LIKE A PRO": https://bit.ly/3m3Dw0U

Overwhelmed.  Inadequate.  Insufficient.  Pressured.  These are the words that have described me numerous times in my 10 years of being a mom.  You, too? I didn't think I was the only one.  How do we get off the hamster wheel that produces stress and onto the road that leads to a fulfilled soul?  We take a serious look at what is essential in our family's life, and what can be eliminated. Whether it's excess toys or too many obligations, intentionally setting our boundaries and schedules frees us up to focus on the most important things we want for ourselves and our families.  These practices replace our low self esteem with confidence and pride as we manage motherhood.

Tensions arise between parents and children when the struggle for POWER is at stake.  Whether you have an 18 month old or an 18 year old, the kids are always fighting for control.  Taking guidance from author Danny Silk and his book, "Loving Our Kids On Purpose," I share how Michael and I parent our children and teach them self control while trying to maintain our own.  Using the approach of giving children some power by providing two safe choices teaches them they can have control and manage themselves.  The goal is to strengthen the heart to heart connection between us and our kids, while allowing them to learn the consequences their choices have, and empowering them to be able to control themselves in the process. Listen in to learn: 1. WHY it's important to give our children monitored control 2. WHAT it does for the parent/kid relationship 3. HOW you can implement this practice on a daily basis.  More resources for this topic can be found here:   www.lovingonpurpose.com
