A college student @ Berklee College of Music & just a regular adult in training trying to figure out life around me from social issues to college and everything in between. Why is it called Rachel Profiling? Cause we love a play on words and we don’t want racial profiling, only Rachel profiling in this house.

    Ivy Insights

The Rachel Profiling podcast is truly one of my favorite podcasts to listen to. Each episode educates me on new topics and offers a fresh perspective on various issues. Rachel's charismatic and engaging hosting style keeps me hooked every week, making it a must-listen for me. I genuinely appreciate her effort to shed light on important social issues that often go unnoticed or ignored.

One of the best aspects of this podcast is its ability to tackle sensitive topics with grace and empathy. Rachel has a gift for creating a safe space for discussion, allowing guests to share their experiences and insights without judgment. This approach not only educates listeners but also encourages compassion and understanding towards others. The podcast truly broadens my horizons and challenges my preconceived notions.

Another standout aspect of The Rachel Profiling podcast is its ability to bring attention to problems that may not be widely recognized in certain areas. As someone who lives in the same area where Rachel used to reside, I can personally attest to the impact this podcast has had on raising awareness about social issues. It serves as a wake-up call, helping individuals like myself realize the existence of these problems within our own communities.

While there are countless positive attributes, it's important to acknowledge any potential shortcomings as well. One possible downside of The Rachel Profiling podcast could be its limited focus on certain topics. While Rachel does an excellent job discussing issues related to racism, there may be room for expanding the scope of the podcast to cover other social injustices as well. Diversifying the range of topics discussed could attract an even wider audience and contribute to a more comprehensive understanding of societal problems.

In conclusion, The Rachel Profiling podcast has had a profound impact on both my personal growth and social consciousness. It has opened my eyes to the realities faced by marginalized communities and inspired me to use my voice for positive change. Through her thoughtful conversations and genuine passion, Rachel creates an inclusive platform that fosters dialogue and encourages listeners to actively strive for a more just society. I wholeheartedly recommend this podcast to anyone looking to expand their knowledge and make a difference in the world.

TW: Grief. Today I want to talk with you about someone very important to me, my late mentor Jarritt Ahmed Sheel. I made a promise to myself that I would only come back to podcasting when I felt ready to record the first episode back which had to be in honor of Jarritt. I want everyone to know Jarritt the way I, and so many who love him, know him. Here's to the man who created community with everyone in his orbit. Rest in peace Jarritt, I love you! -- Jarritt's wonderful wife, Antonia Sheel, along with Jarritt's colleagues at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, are working to establish a scholarship and several other initiatives to honor the memory and work of Jarritt. Jarritt worked with countless people from all walks of life during his time as an educator, band leader, mentor and friend. His reach was impactful and meaningful to so many. Please consider joining in these efforts. Our goal is to raise $60,000! This will allow us to create an endowed scholarship fund as well as create a lecture series named in Jarritt's honor. While this will be an ongoing effort with the first goal being to raise the minimum $10K to establish the scholarship by mid April 2023, every amount counts! Also, consider asking if your employer would match your gift. If you have a business, consider making a tax deductible contribution. You will be supporting the growth and development of students as well as fostering powerful conversations around music education. If you would like to donate to the scholarship at Berklee in memory of Jarritt Ahmed Sheel, please visit: Berklee.edu/giving (https://www.berklee.edu/giving) and designate this scholarship (You may have to click OTHER and write in his name below that: Jarritt Ahmed Sheel Memorial Scholarship). OR Checks may be sent to Berklee College of Music, 1140 Boylston Street, MS-855 IA, Boston, MA 02115, please note on the check "Jarritt Ahmed Sheel Memorial Scholarship".
