The Paychex Business Series Podcast with Gene Marks - Coronavirus
U.S. Labor Department data shows job starts exceeding expectation in March, while the Paychex Small Business Employment Watch indicates job levels are consistent with previous months. Does this indicate a better outlook? Gene Marks talks about it in this episode, but also says the economy might be influenced by the 14% of employers who are decreasing salary offers and another 20% are scaling back on raises. Businesses with loans from the SBA also must contend with changes in programs that include increased fees for popular 7(a) loans. Listen to the podcast. Grief, Legacy, and MentorshipIn this deeply personal episode of The Longest Day Podcast, former footballer and coach Iffy Onuora reflects on the most significant day of his life — the passing of his mother, a pivotal moment that continues to shape his views on life, parenting, and mentorship. From the struggles of growing up in a predominantly white neighborhood to navigating grief and finding purpose in his career, Iffy shares how these experiences have influenced his approach to mentoring the next generation. The conversation also touches on the importance of resilience, social justice, and the challenges that still persist in society today, particularly regarding race and masculinity, emphasising the need for deeper, more mature conversations about racism and its pervasive impact. Ultimately, he stresses the importance of legacy, encouraging younger generations to carry the torch and continue the work of those who came before them.If you've found Iffy's story inspiring, share this episode with someone who might benefit from hearing about resilience, legacy, and the power of mentorship. Matt Barrows of The Athletic joins Willard and Dibs to update everyone on the 49ers' injury report (is Trent Williams truly in danger of not playing vs. the Seahawks), to break down how the 49ers are addressing their special teams woes, and more.
Our fourth and final guest of the 2024 off-season is Morgan Lewis! A southern California native, Morgan started playing volleyball at 9 and dreamed of playing professionally. She played college volleyball as an Oregon Duck, and was happy to be drafted her rookie year by Coach Haneef-Park - to play in her hometown for the San Diego Mojo in the inaugural PVF season. Morgan talks with us about her excitement to play for the Columbus Fury in 2025, what went into her decision to transfer, and tells us about her current hyper fixation meal that proves to us she's ready to feel at home in Ohio. We also chatted with Morgan about her pre-game routines (someone get this girl an Alani deal), her on-court jewelry preferences, and her earliest volleyball memory (it's the cutest story ever). Hope you enjoyed our interview series! Now let's get ready for season two

Seriously, the pace with which he has been publishing NYTimes crosswords this year is truly phenomenal (this is his third, and the year is still young). This crossword did seem to be slightly crunchier than usual, ironic considering the absence of one key ingredient that is often associated with this crossword's theme. In this sermon, Pastor Keith Ryoo covers the coronation of an apparent hesitant King Saul, Israel's first monarch, and Israel's complete and total rejection of God as their sole ruler. God permits Israel to have a king, despite the dire warnings of the obvious pitfalls of such a governmental system. What we see is that, despite the people's rejection, and their king's reluctance, God still rules.

"Life of the mother" used to be a pretty standard position on abortion for Republicans, but the hypocritical reaction from most GOP figures yesterday was quite telling. They'd much prefer the talking point than the actual policy. They also groan as the monthly inflation numbers once again come in higher than expected. Hour 1: Boomer and Jerry begin the show talking about the reports that Brian Cashman's job is safe. Luis Severino came in behind an opener last night and was still a disaster. Boomer and Jerry agree that the plan wasn't so bad because the Yankees don't have other options. They are 5.5 games out of the playoffs now and running out of time. How can Brian Cashman build on this year's team to win in 2024? C-Lo is in for Jerry and Jerry wants to hear the case for and against keeping Brian Cashman and Aaron Boone. The Yankees lost a game and series as they fell to the White Sox. Jerry says nobody can be worse than Luis Severino right now. Boomer and Jerry feel bad for Severino and would shut him down. The Mets held on to beat the Cubs. Phil Bickford got the save after Adam Ottavino melted down to start the 9th. Michael Lorenzen threw a no-hitter in his first home start as a Phillie. Jerry almost went to the game. The Jets o-line did not have a good day in Carolina. In the final segment of the hour, callers make their cases to keep or fire Brian Cashman and Aaron Boone.
JP Finlay, Mitch Tischler and Pete Hailey commence this Beltway Football by discussing Jamin Davis' reckless driving and the many factors that make it so upsetting. From there, the hosts shift their focus to on the field events, where some offensive line shifting occurred on Monday and where the offense continued to have issues finding a true rhythm. Then, they veer into other vital topics, such as JP's dilemma with finding lunch during camp and a very big-time golf match coming up later in the week. If you like podcasts where Mitch's miserable Mets are made fun of and JP's sweet daughter makes a late-show cameo, then this is the episode for you.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
