"The Boyfriend" New season; same dysfunction - the Plaths are back and somehow messier than ever. In the Season 7 premiere, Kim and Ethan are miraculously besties now that Olivia's out of the picture. Lydia introduces her new man Zac, and Ethan is getting a "shotgun wedding" vibe from the start. Moriah's caught between a wig and a hard place while beefing with Veronica and writing apology letters that might as well have been scribbled in glitter glue. Isaac brings his girlfriend Kaylynn into the chaos, and Veronica introduces us to her new friend "Becky" who's definitely not Olivia in disguise (wink). McKnight Crossings Church worship minister, Kaylynn Myers, brings us a message asking us to consider the effort it takes to clean the mess that is caused by sin. Often we see a quick and easy description of moving from sin to redemption, but we miss the middle where the change and inner work is done. Kaylynn challenges us to embrace the hard work of remaking, repenting, from practices of sin to those of healthy faith filled life.

On Monday, June 24th, 2019, 33-year-old Kaylynn Blue failed to show up for her shift at a Walgreens in Idaho Falls, raising concern among her coworkers. Kaylynn had already missed two days—which was highly unusual for her. Worried, they reached out to her family, who soon involved the authorities. By 9 a.m., police arrived at Kaylynn's residence to conduct a welfare check. There, they encountered her boyfriend, Philip Schwab, also 33. What they discovered was chilling: Philip was not only responsible for Kaylynn's death, but had left behind a disturbing trail of online confessions detailing his crimes. Imagine the transformative power of a marketplace that not only thrives on quality products but also on the stories of the people who craft them. That's precisely the vision Kaylynn Jordan, the founder of Ethical Sourcing Network and Global Purpose, walks us through in our latest chat. Kaylynn's passion for India and the rights of workers in the global supply chain paints a vivid picture of the challenges and triumphs in connecting conscientious manufacturers with major U.S. retailers. Her narrative is a testament to the idea that behind every product is a person, a family, and a community whose life could be uplifted through ethical practices.Navigating the intricate landscape of supply chains, our discussion pivots to the increasing reliance on Indian manufacturing capabilities and the ripple effect it has on the industry. The conversation uncovers how a surge in Indian entrepreneurs' investment in their businesses and their embrace of quality control measures are meeting the demanding standards of large-scale retailers. There's an unmistakable buzz surrounding the potential for India to revolutionize its production status quo—something we're keeping a close eye on for its ability to reshape the global market.Wrapping up, we turn to the deep-seated impact of generational manufacturing and the importance of honoring cultural distinctions in corporate collaborations. There's a heartwarming recognition of the real difference made when companies engage in responsible employment, especially in empowering women and supporting education initiatives. It's a profound look at how enterprises can leave a lasting, positive imprint on communities, far beyond the bottom line. These stories and more await you—so make sure to hit that subscribe button for a front-row seat to the unfolding narrative of retail reinvention.

A new Segment where I chat with other moms! It's about everything and nothing. Put a bunch of ADHD moms in a room and you never know where the story will go. The laughs were the best I've had in months.
Bible Reading: Isaiah 64:4-8; Ephesians 2:10Cecilia walked beside her mother on the way to an open house at her sister Kaylynn's school. "How will we find Kaylynn?" asked Cecilia."She said she'd be in her pottery class," answered Mom, "and she gave me directions to get to it." They soon found the place where Kaylynn was working, and they sat down quietly at the back of the room. The class instructor was at his potter's wheel, demonstrating how to make a clay vase. The students watched and then began work on their own projects. "Kaylynn's good, isn't she?" whispered Cecilia, watching her older sister at work."Yes," said Mom. "The vase she's making will be lovely filled with flowers."Cecilia sighed. "Ben plays baseball, Sienna sings in the choir, and Kaylynn makes pottery. But me, I'm like…" Cecilia gestured toward the instructor's table. "I'm like one of those ugly lumps of clay.""Cecilia," said Mom gently, "the vase Kaylynn is making was a lump of clay like those. And so was the one the instructor is making. Those lumps are the clay the potter uses to make beautiful things."Cecilia looked at the instructor. A tall vase was being shaped by his skillful fingers. "Imagine one of those ugly lumps ending up like that!""You know, we're all like lumps of clay," said Mom. "On our own, we can do nothing. But God is our potter, and He skillfully molds and shapes us into something useful and beautiful. We just need to be pliable and--""What does that mean?" asked Cecilia."Pliable? That means soft and easy to mold," explained Mom. "If the clay is hard, it's also hard to mold it, and if we are stubborn and our hearts are hard--if we insist on doing things our way instead of trusting God--then He needs to soften our hearts before He can shape our lives into something beautiful." She smiled at Cecilia. "You're not an ugly lump of clay. You're a pliable one. You know Jesus, who has softened your heart with His love. Just be patient, and little by little God will begin to show you who He's molding you to be."-Tanya FerdinanduszHow About You?Is your heart pliable? Are you trusting God to guide you in what He wants you to do in your life? Maybe you feel less important when other people can do things you can't, but the important thing is to do what God wants you to do. He created you and loves you, and you can trust Him to shape your life into something beautiful. Let Him mold you into the person He wants you to be.Today's Key Verse:O Lord, You are our Father; we are the clay, and You our potter…we are the work of Your hand. On this episode, Dennis sits down with Founder of Hellak9's, Sharod Johnson. About Hellak9's: Sharod Johnson and Tara Khatchi founded HellaK9s as a young couple offering group classes in public parks and dog sitting in their home in Chula Vista, California. While Tara took care of the dogs, Sharod worked as an apprenticing Schutzhund helper, and dog trainer, in addition to being active duty. They simultaneously ran a Belgian Malinois rescue where they integrated group classes with volunteers who stepped up to handle the dogs. It wasn't long before they grew notoriety and needed to move to a larger property in Alpine, California; this is where HellaK9s San Diego continues to operate today. The ranch-like property provides 200-acres of privacy to exercise and train dogs with their growing staff. After a successful 2 years in Alpine, Tara and Sharod decided it was time to head back east. Sharod and Tara started their second location, HellaK9s Stafford, in Stafford, VA. This is HellaK9s first storefront and new Headquarters. With the help of a few aspiring trainers, two additional East Coast locations have opened; Virginia Beach, where Sharod finished his Naval career, and New Jersey. Most recently, Sharod began hosting seminars in Anchorage, Alaska for the PSA club, Rheaper K9. This started a great partnership with the owners of 907 Hell Hounds, Kaylynn and Jesse Deans, resulting in the merger and creation of HellaK9s' 5th location, HellaK9s Alaska. HellaK9s' growth has been on the demand of an emergent pet industry needing trainers with a logical approach to conditioning and the insatiable hunger of new handlers stepping into the working dog world. HellaK9s has rapidly grown from 15 to 32 employees in 2022. What makes HellaK9s unique is we don't solely train pet dogs. We also train rescue dogs, military working dogs, Police K9s, and sport dogs. In 2020, HellaK9s started performing workshops, and seminars, as well as participating in joint training exercises with agencies like the San Diego Sheriff's Department, Manassas PD, Langley and Keesler AFB K9 units, and Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek K9. HellaK9s' goal is to better the dog community by providing dog owners access to training that goes deeper than the behavior level but dives into the emotional state of the dog. Today, Dennis and Sharod discuss the story of how Sharod started Hellak9's, his military career in the NAVY and how he transitioned into the K9 training business, the type of dogs they train and the specialty training that Hellak9's provides. When my daughter was little, she had no phone skills. If someone asked her a question, she would answer by either nodding or shaking her head from side to side, instead of speaking the words "yes" or "no." This was ineffective. You will find none of this phone skill illiteracy at Jill's Office, however. They are second to none when it comes to training their team of phone answering professionals, and today Scott talks with Michelle and Kaylynn about how Jill's Office can help your business, and make you money!
