    Heading towards the finish line for Season 2 and the year 2020. The good brothers start off episode 47 with a usual check-in, and attempt to get Patty Pie's out of the paint, and 2 question of the day recaps. A video went viral about a restaurant owner dismissing a group of women out of his establishment for twerking. The brothers react and provide their input on how to avoid situations like this going forward. Congratulations are in order for Pharrell for launching the Black Ambition initiative and respect and caution were provided as the hopes for this movement can have an impact if done properly. They keep it on Pharrell and his new skincare line, Humanrace and talk about how skin care has been a thing in 2020 for celebrities and that prompts them to discuss how influencers are also needing an overhaul after having the spotlight shined on them during the pandemic. It is the end of a one time popular show on December 17th, Everyday Struggle, and the guys provide their thoughts how the landscape will be now without it and how podcasting has also made shows of that caliber a thing of the past. Mike has some tough love for King James in regards to recent comments made about his idea of starting a Team Lebron with his Nike apparel line and his recent calculated moves.     The good brothers are back and bringing you a 2 part EP! In part one the brothers react to the news of Joe Biden launching a GoFundMe for raising funds to help with his transition. A lot of new music has arrived recently and they each dive into what they have been listening to recently and dive into the biggest release, Megan The Stallion's debut album, "Good News". Pharrell has a masterclass on racism and being the Virginia Legend that the guys know him to be, they seem to be indifferent on this particular venture from Skateboard P. A sight that some thought would never happen occurred when Jeezy and Gucci Mane were together in the same room as they were on the most recent Verzuz battle. The good brothers talk about what they saw and Bruce offers up a few suggestions on what direction Verzuz can go. 2 Chainz recently stated that after not getting the coveted Jay-Z verse after asking for a 3 time, he was not going to ask again. This sentiment prompted the good brothers to dive deeper and converse about how not asking for something has been an issue and what they have learned about themselves in those situations.     In this episode, the good brothers get right into it as they discuss the news of rapper Killer Mike co-founding Greenwood Bank, a new way of banking and financial institution for Black and Latinx communities alongside the great Andrew Young and Ryan Glover. Mike asks the brothers a question in regards to the lack of trust of black people with black financial institutions and the brothers give their response and tips on how to avoid that mistrust. Tyrone then brings a topic conversation about taking your child out of school for a year to home school your child/children to teach them financial literacy. Each brother shared their take and provided their thought process behind it. HBCUs across America have had their annual homecomings canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the Thurgood Marshall College Fund decided to put on a event to fill the void and also to collect donations for all HBCUs and the brothers wanted to know will the event have the same turn out and support as a normal homecoming event would. Ty presents a situation he experienced which prompted him to ask the question to the brothers about facial hair in corporate America.     In this episode, the good brothers recap the question of the week, about should wine be flavored. In a close poll, 56% of the people said, Yes and the brothers react while Bruce explains the heat he caught for some of his takes. The topic of Ice Cube was brought up after seemingly having a rough week in turns on social media with people taking his tweets about communicating with both parties but getting a response from the Trump administration and his response to that as an endorsement. They touch on the "Contract with Black America and react to its recent criticism. Mike brings up the news Diddy announced in regards to the #OurBlackParty initiative and asks the brothers, why can't black America get on the same page. From there Tyrone ask the brothers about work ethic in today's climate with people on social media flaunting their PPE funds and others being charged after investigations. It triggers Bruce to ask, does your inner circle affect your work ethic. They drop a few gems at the end led by Bruce in reference to financial advice and helpful hints which you want to take notes. They dive into when they first explored with alcohol and choice of beverage and have their tastes have evolved. This conversation spawns a new, hilarious conversation about any occasions their worst hangover and goes into when they have seen a person so drunk, that their soul has left their body. Mike asks the brothers to define financial stability in their eyes. COVID is still running rampant, but there seems to be some differing opinions on when they are going to take the vaccine, if it is even made open to the public initially.     This weeks' episode starts off with the Question of the Day recap with 67% of the people saying yes, increasing teachers salaries can enhance the school system. Bruce brings up a question to the brothers with a conversation he had last week in reference to a previous topic in reference to HBCUs. He asks should someone who did not go to an HBCU have the right to speak about matters of the schools, Mike and Tyrone react. The good brothers dive into the recent COVID-19 outbreak with the Tennessee Titans and NFL over the last week. Cam Newton being the biggest star of recent to contract the virus. The brothers break down if they believe the NFL season will continue in their current state while also offering suggestions on how they can proceed. Only one person can upstage the NFL in news with contracting the Coronavirus, and that would be the POTUS. The president announced this past week that he and the first lady also have COVID-19. Even with all of the statements downplaying the virus and the families he has hurt with his words and actions, people are wishing death upon him. The good brothers think karma is too strong to resort to those types of actions. Drake is at it again with mentioning a previous relationship with R&B star, SZA, as she gets mentioned in a recent feature Drake did with 21 Savage. They discuss how men handle these situations and to stay away from those types of dudes who like to "chat". Bruce asks the brothers if it is safe to assume beef with someone who has beef with your friend. They discuss and dive deeper into the topic.     This weeks' episode of the Whiskey & Wisdom Podcast focuses on education. The good brothers start by having a discussion in reference to public schools vs. charter schools and is anyone entity better than the other. Schools being zoned creating segregation and classroom sizes, the good brothers discuss and offer up different opinions as to why those factors may even be possible. They then dive into Teachers salaries and how paying the teachers a sufficient income would allow them to have better results while also managing to allow qualified teachers to restore the quality back in the profession. Mike asked the question about the school curriculum of today and each brother gave their response if they had to start their own school, which subjects would be taught. Just for the record, these schools would be dope! They touch on colleges and technical schools and give their suggestions on how kids can approach college and what changes they would make. Last they touch on Deion Sanders being named the head coach of Jackson State University, an HBCU. They all agree more needs to be done and hope that not only the former NFL stars take this action, but the universities are seeking out to attract these individuals to level the playing field.     Fall is upon us and Episode 39 is here. The good brothers recap the #QuestionOfTheDay and Bruce introduced Mike to his new nickname "Pumpkin Papi" and informed Mike of a new beer that tastes like Pumpkin Pie. Mike embraces the nickname but not the Pumpkin Pie, deferring to Sweet Potato pie over pumpkin, which the brothers agreed with. They discuss the recent news of the latest company, IBM, donating $100 Million dollars to HBCUs and share their thoughts. They then discuss the recent movements in cities where major venues are now being used as polling centers. The topic prompts Ty to ask the question, with all the technology and security we have in place, why can we not just vote from our mobile phone? Next they take a moment to pay respects to Ruth Bader Ginsburg after the news of her passing and how the memes came flowing out which sparked the conversation of people sharing everything on social media today. Continuing that conversation, they touch on the recent story of Lebron's son, Bronny James, getting caught smoking weed on Instagram Live recently and how sometimes going viral is not the best way to garner more attention. The end with giving love and congratulations to Maya Moore and Jonathan Irons on their recent marriage and the brothers and sisters projecting their envy towards their union on social media.     The Good Brothers are back and live! They start off by diving into Charlamagne Tha God and his announcement of the Black Effect Podcast Network partnership with iHeartRadio. They discuss how some of the words he has echoed seems like a shot at a specific podcast that has made waves for years. They talk about Danuel House and his exit from the NBA bubble for having a guest in his room, which is against the rules and it created a few laughs for the internets. Mike is outraged that no one else on the podcast rocks with Pumpkin Spice. They discuss Will Smith and the Fresh Prince reunion with the whole cast, the old Aunt Viv included, which sparks a great conversation about sitcoms. That discussion led to a few brothers to lean towards Martin being "overrated". Ty opens the floor for the brothers to discuss their experience of having to wear a "Mask" in the corporate world and provides encouragement to others in the same position.     Another holiday weekend, another dope episode of the Whiskey & Wisdom Podcast! The good brothers recap the two questions of the week and its results. The last question brings them to the topic of Big Sean's new album "Detroit 2". Ty was ready for this day and the brothers shared how they listened to the project and their thoughts on the recent effort from Sean. Touching on Sean, they also give their opinions on who they are looking forward to next. Bruce poses the question in regards to Radio and is the long standing platform dying off and each brother gives their take with one person, saying Radio might be harder to make disappear than we think. They then dive in one of the seven spiritual laws of success from Deepak Chopra and touch on the quote in reference to those chasing security and the brothers tie into how trying to turn the unknown into a greater opportunity and is it meant for everyone. Mike brings up the recent Instagram post from model, Tahiry, and how the women in the comments in relation to her post are defending her partner in the recent viral video of a domestic dispute. It prompts the conversation of victims of sexual assault and domestic abuse that are not being protected from these egregious acts and the system in place and how some are using allegations falsely, making it hard for the real victims to obtain justice.     Welcome Back, The good brothers are here with Episode 36. A quick recap of the Question of the Day from last week where 71% of the people would pass on the #VivaLasOffice package from MGM to remote work in Vegas. The good brothers believe a lot of those people who voted lied and they explain why. Another week, another African American shot several times by the police. They wonder what it is going to take and why the same people who wanted to ridicule Jacob Blake, did not do the same thing for Harvey Weinstein and other men who sexually assaulted and abused women. That prompts a conversation surrounding the recent actions taking place in the NBA with the Milwaukee Bucks boycotting their game which caused a mini boycott of the Playoffs and the good brothers discuss was the time worth it or are we just rinse and repeating with tensions growing amongst players in the Orlando Bubble. They also shout-out the WNBA, in which the NBA could learn a thing or two from standing up for what's right. They then discuss Obama speaking with LeBron and Chris Paul and wonder, was this information that was needed and how that conversation can impact actions going forward. Internalizing emotions based off of mistreatment is common and the good brothers break down their own experiences, while also sharing their growth from each situation. Joe Budden strikes again and takes matter into his own hands. One a recent episode of the Joe Budden Podcast, he goes on to explain why his podcast will no longer be on Spotify and explains how the fight for equality in industry is difficult when you go against the grain and the brothers give Joe some flowers. Big Sean gears up for the release of "Detroit 2" and Ty couldn't be more hype while also explaining the impact that artist and fan engagement can have when its' authentic. And last the brothers give their condolences to the families of Cliff Robinson, John Thompson Jr, and Chadwick Boseman. They discuss COVID19 and how there are still lots of people gathering in crowds or going to events in places where a large number of people are. It prompts Bruce to ask the question about the recent Viva Las Office deal advertised by MGM Grand Hotels and to stay in one of their hotels for two weeks to work remote in Las Vegas, a move designed to help boost their economy, and the responses may surprise you. They touch on the recent articles of people fleeing the major cities, San Francisco and New York, to name a few as they are working remote and looking to lower their expenses in this economy in the middle of pandemic and how gentrification has played apart in the rising and possibly the fall of the downtown areas. Mental Health is very important and even more so in this trying time we are living in and the good brothers give their advice and encouragement on how to handle your mental space. This week was the late Kobe Bryant's birthday, and the brothers expound on what Kobe has meant to them and celebrate him on what would have been the Black Mamba's 42nd Birthday. Next they discuss comments made by artist, RodWave in relationship to Jeezy celebrating his son's high school graduation and wondering why Jeezy is still saying trap or die. Which brings up the question are some of the artist we know and love false prophets if their content does not match where they are currently in life. Megan Thee Stallion had some remarks about how shocked she was from the lack of support of her friends in reference to her recent alleged act of violence against her, which prompts Mike to ask the brothers have they been in a situation where they have had friends disappear during a troubling time of need. Last, they touch on the current state of the United States Postal Service and the recent attack by congress and the white house seem to grow, just how much of a ripple impact said actions could have on our economy and way of life.     And we back! Episode 32 was a good one. The good brothers start off with the recap of the Question of the Day surrounding wing preference and go into the discussion a little bit further. All wings are not created equal and be beware of the mutant chicken. They also touch briefly on the reports of a story form a dancer that confirms Lou Williams was not there only for the wings. Ty brings up a question about InstaCart and his recent bad experience which prompts the brothers each to share their own bad experiences. COVID19 is still running rampant and it seems that some people are still not taking this seriously enough. The good brothers emphasize one more time the importance of wearing a mask and protecting yourself and others. NBA is back, along with NHL and MLS as each sporting league has a bubble environment created to continue their sport and it seems to have been a great idea. The MLB on the other hand is having a hard time with one and NFL has not seemed to figure out what they are doing. The brothers praise the NBA, NHL, and MLS, but question whether or not the others sports to maintain without a bubble and also have the sports without the proper player union united front, seem to be in the worst position to continue or start their season. They touch on the Nick Cannon situation as Nick has lost his gigs on Viacom and has since apologized and the brothers share their thoughts on the recent acts of Anti-Semitism. They discuss how important it is to be responsible with your platform, but even more important to own your platform as well. They turn their attention to the recent events around Tamar Braxton and her recent hospitalization that was brought on by a coded message left on her social media account. The dive into how Mental Health in the black community is important and why the negative stigma needs to be broken. They touch on James Harden and his recent photo with him in a Blue Lives Matter mask and how sometimes being disconnected can harm or help you in matters such as this one in the current climate.
