Your identity is your ignitor and your commitment to yourself is your fuel to endure. If you decide to procrastinate then you're making a conscious choice to delay your contribution to progress and potential we can all capitalize on. Luckily according to CBS News: Most Americans are not procrastinators, at least when it comes to how they view themselves. 69% of Americans say they tend to think of themselves more as people who like to get things done right away, rather than put off doing things. But just over a quarter of Americans – 27% - say they tend to put off doing things. Eric M. Twiggs is a founding partner and president of The What Now Movement. The other day one of my teammates, Daphne V Smith said with some concern, "People are asking questions." "What would they like to know?" I asked. She proceeded to explain, "Why are you focusing on Web3 and blockchain along with publishing? Isn't the metaverse just a fad? Are NFTs a scam? Are you still doing Igniting Souls Conference? What about Author Elite Awards? And many other questions." I asked her if she wanted to hear my thoughts. She invited me to share. When I finished she said, "This is the Kary I know. People need to hear your heart on this, and that you care for them. I had no idea how this all fits together. This is deep and super important about where our world is headed." I thought for a moment. Well, what if we do a Livestream where you ask me anything, Daphne? I don't want to know your questions in advance. And let's have whoever wants to join us hop on and they can ask questions too via Zoom. Or if they want to just listen they can watch via Facebook Live. Thus, our recent Behind the Curtain with Igniting Souls. This past year I've invested hundreds and hundreds of hours researching the new world, we're about to enter. It's exciting, but I also have grave concerns. WARNING: Contains explicit language at one point when this global livestream was hacked by outsiders. These hackers verbally attacked guests and our moderators could not mute them or remove them. We had no choice but to end the recording and start another one. We kept both livestreams unedited so you can understand the full context for what transpired afterwards. Kary closed the second livestream praying for these individuals.

Start now because tomorrow could be too late. Eric Twiggs is a founding partner and president of The What Now Movement and is author of The Discipline of Now: 12 Practical Principles to Overcome Procrastination and that is the topic of today’s show. Find out how to get motivated, maximize your time, and make yourself accountable. KEY TAKEAWAYS One of Eric's core values is Excellence. The earlier you start on a creative project, the greater chance it has of being excellent. There is a link between innovation and preparation. Valuing excellence motivates him to start earlier. If you get into the habit of making appointments with yourself, it is 40% more likely to happen. Don’t just say that you’ll do something. Put it in your calendar, give it a time and place. Make yourself accountable. One of the biggest mistakes you can make is saying yes to too many things. Success brings opportunity, but not every opportunity is the right one. Too much on your plate can lead to less time with your family and less time to focus on your important work. There are only 24 hours in a day, so try saying no until you know more about what you’re saying yes to. As human beings, we want completion. We get satisfaction from it. Fear is one of the leading causes of procrastination. This can be fear of failure, fear of the unknown, fear of change. Your attitude is at the foundation of your success. Within the average person 80% of our thoughts are negative. If you’re a pessimist, you’re more likely to procrastinate. The only way to get rid of a habit is to start a new one, replace the negativity with gratefulness, what are you grateful for? We all have times of day where we have more energy, and this varies from person to person. It’s all about awareness. Trauma is personal. Healing is possible. You have the power to reclaim your life. You matter. You are loved. TWO of my books have been nominated for a second time for the global award known as AUTHOR ELITE AWARDS. Emerging With Wings is nominated in the memoir category Because You Matter is nominated in the self-help category. PLUS both of them have received press releases too! It's so exciting! To win this award the books are judged on multiple factors. The panel of judges have a list of criteria (cover, content, contribution to society...) AND they consider how many votes each book receives. That means you can help me win by voting for my books. Will you help me? There are 2 rounds to the contest. This first round is to become one of the Top Ten in the category nominated. (That will be revealed later in August, when all the top 10 will continue for the top prize.) LAST YEAR Because You Matter became a Top Ten Finalist! Please help me with this BECAUSE this isn't just a contest - it will help spread the message of love and inner healing to the world. Two ways you can help: Follow the link HERE and then go to the category (each is on a separate page) for each book (memoir is category page #8 / self-help is category #11) and vote (Only one vote is allowed per category - you vote by clicking on the book cover.) Here is the link again. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/victorioussoulspodcast/message

Todays guest is the beautiful Lori Gurnett from one of my favourite places in the world, Canada! Before I introduce her live on the show hers a bit aboutr Lori Lorie Gurnett is an award-winning author, coach and speaker who helps support first responders' families and individuals through community to fight trauma, PTSD, depression, suicidal thoughts, combatting fear, and discovering their true identity in Christ. Lorie struggled to believe she was worth anything. As a young lady, she doubted herself at every turn, felt invisible, and worthless. She even contemplated suicide. Today with new found knowledge, Lorie strives for the value of the human heart. She believes everyone have value and nobody is invisible. She is the founder of Kingdom Definers, which serves young adults who struggle with their identity and value. She and her husband Merv are blessed with two encouraging children and live in Wetaskiwin, Alberta, Canada. Lorie says In high school I used to write poetry, my mom encouraged me to enter a poetry contest and was published. Several years later I started writing my first book and reading it to my kids before bed. My daughter was my inspiration to finish it. She kept telling me that I had to finish the story, she needed to know what happens. While editing my first book, I have 9 people close to me die in that year, 2018. The battle with grief, suicidal thoughts, and identity are ingrained in this first story as my family and I grew, struggled, and triumphed on the other side. My book Treasure Kingdom was published Sept 7 2019 through Author Academy Elite. In October 2020, Treasure Kingdom won the best Fantasy of the year boom of Merit in the 2020 Author Elite Awards. I publish my second book in the series Unbroken Kingdom in 2021. This story brings you on a journey through abuse, unforgiveness, anger, and learning to stand where it has already been burnt. I want people to know they are seen, valued, and chosen. Connect at authorloriegurnett.com Why did you write the books? Why do you say our value is worth fighting for? You say people believe lies about themselves and that gives fear control. What evidence do you have and why does this relate to your book? What was your inspiration to go write Treasure Kingdom? Why is having the greatest treasure so important? Share one life lesson that dominates in the story. Why is it easier now than ever to discover your true value and potential? What are some of the benefits of going on a journey within to challenge the way you see yourself? Why did you feel the need to address grief, suicidal thoughts, and understanding one's identity You now have an online course available a 40-day course on discovering your identity and rising to your true potential. Why should people purchase these courses and what benefits might they gain? If we have time to touch on the next book.. Tonis Notes Unbroken Kingdom Don't allow fear to hold you in bondage. Find your courage as you face your fears. Will fear and unforgiveness plunge Robert into self-destruction or motivate him to forgive, stand firm, and triumph over adversity? After Josiah and Senora saved Robert from suicide, he still struggled with unforgiveness toward his parents. How could his mom allow that man back into their lives again? With hatred on the rise, change on the horizon, Robert is faced with many conflicting concerns. Senora is facing a new chapter in her life, graduating from high school and looking ahead to an unknown future, she is forced to face old friends and new adventures. Will the truth be Robert and Senora's driving force or will deceptions divide their focus and separate them? Torn between two worlds, Robert struggle to make sense of everything. Enamoured by the mysterious Sam and conflicted by the young Katerina, he is unsure what the truth is. Being fed the lies of Lucas, will Robert find peace or allow anger to dominate his decisions?
