Abbasid History Podcast

Born 1004CE in present-day Tajikistan then under control of the Ghaznavid dynasty, Abū Muʿīn al-Dīn Nasir Khusraw was an Ismaili convert and missionary who became better known for his poetry.    To discuss with us today the life, works and legacy of Nasir Khusraw is Ali Hammoud. Ali Hammoud is a PhD candidate at Western Sydney University. He is broadly interested in Shīʿīsm and Islamicate intellectual history. Welcome Ustad Ali!   Q1. I think it's important we set the scene for the socio-political dynamics in which Nasir Khusraw lived. There were two major competing polities claiming to be the ultimate representatives of the Prophet's legacy: the Ismaili Shia Fatimid caliphate in Cairo and the Sunni Abbasid caliphate of Baghdad. We can imagine it as a kind of Cold War era that existed between the Soviet and the US after WWII with smaller entities in between them having to choose a loyalty or hedge their bets.   Q2. Nasir Khusraw lived in Merv in present day Turmenistan and he worked for the Sunni Turkic Seljuk administration before his conversion to Ismailism and  joining the Fatimid court. Tell us more about his life and career.   Q3. He has a number of works philosophical and literary. Describe them for us before giving us details characterising his divan.   Q4. What further readings and resources do you recommend for us on Nasir Khusrau?    Q5 Finally before we end, give us a sample of the work of Nasir Khusrau  in the original Persian and translation.   Ali Hammoud: https://x.com/AliHammoud7777 https://alihammoud7.substack.com/    We are sponsored by IHRC bookshop. Her comic gifts so impressed Merv Griffin's wife, it lead to her frequent appearances with Merv on his show and a chance to audition for George Schlatter, creator of Laugh-In.Her iconic role on that revolutionary sketch show earned her a permanent spot in pop culture and entertainment history and she shares with us some deep insider info: How John Wayne gallantly lifted her down from the joke wall and that time a mime, Marcel Marceau, perfectly impersonated this vocally resonant performer without a sound. No one makes an entrance, or unleashes a song parody or lights into a Bob Hope story like Jo Anne Worley! So strap in for hilarity. What did Jo Anne say to Jerry Lewis to earn her spot in his comedy workshop? What's it like to share a fence with Jonathon Winters? in this last episode of the early Syriac church fathers we will learn about Ishodad of Merv (mid-9th century) was an East Syriac bishop and biblical commentator known for his scholarly contributions to the Church of the East. His epithet “of Merv” suggests he may have been born in the city of Merv in Central Asia (modern Turkmenistan), though this is not certain. He became the bishop of Ḥdatta (Haditha) in Assyria, near the Great Zab river in what is now northern Iraq, around 837 CE. In 852/853, after the death of Patriarch Abraham II, Ishodad was put forward as a candidate for Catholicos-Patriarch of the Church of the East. It's an IAQ Deep Dive…part two! Matt welcomes Sean Harris back to the studio to continue their discussion indoor air quality improvements for existing homes, focusing on mold prevention, HVAC upgrades, filtration, and dehumidification—especially in hot, humid climates like Texas. Sean emphasizes that mold issues often stem from leaky ductwork in unconditioned spaces, poor ventilation, and high humidity, leading to compromised air quality. Instead of cleaning mold, he recommends removing contaminated materials and improving source control. For HVAC systems, Sean suggests keeping ductwork in conditioned space, using MERV 13+ filters, and installing a ventilating dehumidifier to maintain humidity below 50%. He warns against running HVAC fans continuously, as this can pull humid air into the system, worsening mold issues. He also recommends in-room HEPA filtration (isuch as IQAir or Austin Air) over whole-home air purifiers. They discuss (and advise against) gimmicky air purification methods like UV lights and ionizers, which can create harmful byproducts. Instead, homeowners should monitor IAQ with smart sensors, track humidity, and optimize their home's ventilation and filtration. Sean emphasizes "optimization over maximization"—cost-effective solutions like air sealing, replacing moldy ductwork, and using high-quality air filters rather than full HVAC overhauls. Both Matt & Sean encourage homeowners to prioritize practical, science-backed IAQ improvements for a healthier living environment.Thank you to episode sponsor Mbrico. Live from the ROCKWOOL studio, Matt and Steve explore how to design and construct homes optimized for extreme health, focusing on mold resistance, superior indoor air quality (IAQ), and moisture control. They discuss essential strategies such as building tight, well-ventilated homes to prevent mold growth, using high-performance dehumidifiers, and implementing advanced HVAC systems with MERV 13+ or HEPA filtration. Matt and Steve highlight the importance of managing bulk water through proper site grading, overhangs, and pitched roofs while also considering leak detection systems and waterproofed mechanical rooms. For improved air quality, Matt and Steve emphasize eliminating duct board, minimizing flex duct, and opting for metal ductwork, which is easier to clean and prevents microbial growth. They also discuss alternatives to standard drywall, such as fiberglass-faced drywall, American clay plaster, or traditional lath and plaster to reduce mold risk. Additionally, ductless HVAC systems, like mini-splits, can further enhance IAQ by eliminating dust-collecting ductwork. The episode also touches on cost considerations, with case studies showing how clients with severe allergies or mold sensitivities have significantly benefited from controlled indoor environments. Whether you're a builder, architect, or homeowner looking to create a healthier home, this episode provides expert insights into mold-resistant construction, high-IAQ design, and smart moisture management. How to Support the Rob Skinner Podcast.  If you would like to help support my mission to multiply disciples, leaders and churches, click here:  https://www.buymeacoffee.com/robskinner   Matthew Series Matthew 13:44-58 Sunday, August 25th, 2024 What's the most valuable thing you've ever discovered?    1. Staffordshire Hoard, 2009 In 2009, Terry Herbert, a passionate amateur treasure hunter, was exploring a plowed field near Hammerwich, Staffordshire, England, when his  metal detector signaled a significant discovery. Over five days of diligent excavation, Herbert and the landowner, Fred Johnson, unearthed a staggering 3,500 military artifacts, collectively known as the Staffordshire Hoard. This extraordinary find included over 11 pounds of gold, 3 pounds of silver, and semi-precious garnets, possibly sourced from as far as Sri Lanka or Afghanistan. Dating back to the 6th and 7th centuries, during the Anglo-Saxon kingdom of Mercia, the hoard is believed to have been buried around 875 A.D., when the region was under Viking threat.     2. The Le Catillon II Hoard, 2012 Reg Mead and Richard Miles, metal detection enthusiasts from Jersey, embarked on a decades-long quest after hearing a farmer's tale in the early 1980s. The farmer claimed to have discovered silver coins while plowing his field on the British island of Jersey. Mead and Miles, armed with perseverance, obtained permission to search the field for a mere 10 to 15 hours each year after the harvest. Their dedication bore fruit in 2012 when they unearthed 68,000 coins, along with gold neck torcs and glass beads. These treasures, dating back to 30 B.C. to 40 B.C., were buried by the Coriosolitae tribe of Celts, likely fleeing from a Roman invasion led by Julius Caesar. The Le Catillon II Hoard stands as the largest collection of gold jewelry and Celtic coins ever found.   3. St. Albans Hoard, 2012 In 2012, novice metal detectorist Westley Carrington ventured into a farm field in Berkhamsted, England, armed with a beginner's metal detector. His discovery turned out to be one of the largest hoards of Roman gold coins ever uncovered in Great Britain Jesus Introduction ·         This chapter forms a composite picture of the kingdom of God o   Responses to it o   Rejection of it o   Judgement of all people o   Personal responses to it o   The value of it ·         It can also form a historical outline: o   Planting of the seeds o   Varied responses o   Small beginnings o   Infiltration of the gospel throughout the Roman empire o   Individual responses and value of the kingdom o   Final judgment These parables are only found in Matthew 1.      The Parables of the Hidden Treasure and the Pearl 44 “The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field. 45 “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. 46 When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it. These stories build on what Jesus has taught about how things are “hidden” and “secret.”  Some find the gospel, others don't.  The other parables talk about the impact or spread or nature of the gospel, these two talk about the value to individuals.  The treasure ·         People hid valuables in the ground, there were no banks or vaults to provide safety. o   Genghis Khan §  Khan was reported to have given himself a front row seat for the mayhem at Merv. He sat on a golden throne and watched as men were dragged before him and executed. It was said to have been a ‘memorable day for shrieking and weeping and wailing'. The invaders tortured the wealthy citizens of Merv so they'd give up their money and jewels.  One source puts the number of dead in the Merv massacre at 700,000, while a contemporary Persian chronicler estimated the number of corpses at a staggering 1.3 million. Khan apparently ordered each of his soldiers to kill at least 300 people. ·         He stumbles on it ·         He knows he's found something amazing ·         He sells all out of self-interest Feb. 25, 2014, 12:53 PM MST / Updated Feb. 25, 2014, 12:54 PM MST A Northern California couple out walking their dog on their Gold Country property stumbled across a modern-day bonanza: $10 million in rare, mint-condition gold coins buried in the shadow of an old tree.   Nearly all of the 1,427 coins, dating from 1847 to 1894, are in uncirculated, mint condition, said David Hall, co-founder of Professional Coin Grading Service of Santa Ana, which recently authenticated them.   Although the face value of the gold pieces only adds up to about $27,000, some of them are so rare that coin experts say they could fetch nearly $1 million apiece. The pearl ·         This is a person who is seeking actively ·         He is familiar with prices and value ·         He realizes that this is the only one he needs to own ·         Once you have the gospel, you don't need anything else ·         Share:  Silver Coins These stories emphasize that only the wholehearted get to enjoy the treasure.  You have to go all in, sell out and grab hold of what God is offering you.  Jesus specifically says that in Luke 14:33 “In the same way, those of you who do not give up everything you have cannot be my disciples.”   How's your response to the gospel? Whether you've stumbled on it or have been searching for it these stories show that once you discover it, you have to determine the incomparable value of Jesus and then divest of anything necessary to get the treasure. The trouble is we don't value Jesus highly enough.  We want him and a whole lot more. It's time to repent and get baptized.   If you are already a disciple and have the treasure: Ø  Do you gripe and complain how hard it is to follow Jesus? Ø  Do you complain how much you've had to give up to follow him? Ø  Are you considering selling Jesus for something in the world, like Judas?   If you have Jesus, you have everything you need. There once was a fabulously wealthy man who loved his son above all things. To stay close to his son, they began to build an art collection together. Every spare minute, they were out at auctions and sales acquiring rare works of art: everything from Picasso to Raphael. By the time the Vietnam conflict broke out, they built one of the rarest most valuable collections in the world. A letter came one day informing the son he had been drafted. The father offered to pull some strings, but the son felt compelled to serve his country as his father and grandfather did before him.  The son went off to war, but he wrote his dad every day. One day the letters stopped. The father's worst fears were realized when he received a telegram from the war department informing him his son had been killed while attempting to rescue another soldier. About six months later, there was a knock at the door. A young soldier with a large package under his arm said, "Sir, you don't know me, but I am the man your son saved on that faithful day he died deep in the jungles of Viet Nam. He had already saved many lives that day, and as he was carrying me off the battlefield, he was shot through the heart and died instantly. Your son was my friend and we spent many a lonely night "in country talking about you and your love for art." The young soldier held out his package and said, "I know this isn't much and I'm not much of an artist, but I wanted you to have this painting I've done of your son as I last remember him. The father tore open the package and fought back the tears as he gazed at a portrait of his one and only son. He said, "You have captured the essence of my son's smile in this painting and I will cherish it above all others." The father hung the portrait over his mantle. When visitors came to his home, he always drew attention to the portrait of his son before he showed them any of the other masterpieces. When the father died the news went out that the entire collection was being offered at an exclusive private auction. Collectors and art experts from around the world gathered for the chance of purchasing one of them. The first painting on the auction block was the soldier's modest rendering of his son. The auctioneer pounded his gavel and asked someone to start the bidding. The sophisticated crowd scoffed and demanded the Van Gogh's and the Rembrandts be brought forth. The auctioneer persisted. "Who will start the bidding? $200? $100?" The crowd continued to turn up their noses, waiting to see the more serious paintings. Still the auctioneer solicited, "The son! The son! Who will take the son? Finally, a squeaky voice from the back said, "I'll bid $10 for the son." The bidder was none other than the young soldier the son had died saving. He said, "I didn't come to buy anything and all I have is $10 to my name, but I bid it all." The auctioneer continued seeking a higher bid, but the angry crowd began to chant, "Sell it to him and let's get on with the auction." The auctioneer pounded the gavel and sold the painting for the bid of $10. An eager buyer from the second row bellowed, "Finally, on with the auction." And just then the auctioneer said, "The auction is now officially closed." The hostile crowd demanded to know how after coming, all this way could the auction possibly be over? The president of the auctioning company came to the microphone and said, "When I was called to conduct this auction, I was told of a stipulation in the will I could not divulge until now. According to the wishes of the deceased only the painting of the son was to be sold today and whoever takes the son gets it all. So today, for $10 this young man has bought one of the world's most priceless art collections and the entire estate in which it is housed -- auction closed." And with the swing of the gavel, the crowd sat in stunned silence staring at the young soldier. “Whoever takes the son, gets it all” If you have the Son, you have it all.     2.     The Parable of the Net 47 “Once again, the kingdom of heaven is like a net that was let down into the lake and caught all kinds of fish. 48 When it was full, the fishermen pulled it up on the shore. Then they sat down and collected the good fish in baskets, but threw the bad away. 49 This is how it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come and separate the wicked from the righteous 50 and throw them into the blazing furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. ·         This is similar to the parable of the weeds. ·         There will never be a time when you as a disciple will be surrounded only by “righteous” people. ·         It's like a lake where everyone is swimming free. ·         There is a net slowly moving us in one direction, but we all have freedom now. So many people are like the optimist falling from a tenth story window, who called out cheerfully as he passed each story, going down, “All right so far!”   51 “Have you understood all these things?” Jesus asked. “Yes,” they replied. 52 He said to them, “Therefore every teacher of the law who has become a disciple in the kingdom of heaven is like the owner of a house who brings out of his storeroom new treasures as well as old.”   ·         When you become a disciple, you are like a teacher of the law who has access to treasures both old and new. ·         Why wouldn't you want to share those with others? Ø  Share the word study and discipleship study this fall with someone   3.     A Prophet Without Honor 53 When Jesus had finished these parables, he moved on from there. 54 Coming to his hometown, he began teaching the people in their synagogue, and they were amazed. “Where did this man get this wisdom and these miraculous powers?” they asked. 55 “Isn't this the carpenter's son? Isn't his mother's name Mary, and aren't his brothers James, Joseph, Simon and Judas? 56 Aren't all his sisters with us? Where then did this man get all these things?” 57 And they took offense at him. But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his own town and in his own home.” 58 And he did not do many miracles there because of their lack of faith. ·         This is a variation on the saying, “Familiarity breeds contempt.” ·         I should have read this scripture before I decided to plant a church in my hometown. ·         I somehow missed this ·         Many people became Christians, my family didn't make it. ·         Show picture of my hometown church. You know how many family members responded?  None   Next Steps ·         Pay any price to get Jesus and his kingdom ·         Pull out treasures old and new and teach someone the word and discipleship study this fall ·         Prepare for the judgment.  Make sure you have a real relationship with Christ.  Repent and get baptized immediately.

In this episode of the RepcoLite Home Improvement Show, we cover everything from masking tape to design questions to MERV ratings.WHICH MASKING TAPE IS RIGHT?When choosing tape for a paint project, the options range from basic brown masking tape to more expensive products like blue painter's tape and FrogTape. The basic brown masking tape is affordable but often allows paint to bleed under the tape, making it unsuitable for precise masking. Blue painter's tape is a middle-tier option that performs well if properly applied by pressing the edges firmly, preventing most bleed. FrogTape, the most expensive option, uses paint-block technology, which reacts with water-based paints to create a seal and prevent the paint from bleeding through even without extra pressure on the edges. Specialty tapes for delicate surfaces like wallpaper and freshly painted walls are also available. FESTOOL PRODUCTS and DEMO DAYIn this segment, I talk about the Festool products we carry, explain their benefits and strengths (very briefly--focusing specifically on dust extraction). I wrap it up mentioning Byron Center's upcoming Demo Day on October 8.ANDY YATES DESIGN Q&AIn this segment, I interview Andy Yates from Andy Yates Design, answering questions from listeners about design dilemmas.Question 1: Megan from Grand Rapids asks about using a dark charcoal color in her son's small bedroom, including the ceiling. While Megan worries it will make the room feel boxed in, Andy explains that dark colors can actually make a space feel more expansive by receding, but suggests balancing it with lighter elements like bedding, drapes, and lighting.Question 2: An anonymous listener asks for advice on dealing with a green color her husband chose for their family room that she dislikes. Andy suggests sampling the paint on the wall and discussing it over time without using negative language. He also offers the idea of hiring a designer for neutral guidance.FURNACE FILTERS and MERV RATINGSOn this segment, we talk about furnace filters and their impact on your HVAC system. We discuss the importance of regularly changing furnace filters to maintain the longevity of an HVAC system. But we focus mainly on how higher-rated filters (with a higher MERV rating) trap more dust, but can also end up restricting airflow, potentially harming your system and reducing air quality. Travis recently sat down with Kari Loya for a conversation that will leave you reflecting on your relationship with your father and children. Kari is the author of the book Conversations Across America which is about  a 73-day, 4,600-mile cross-country bike trip Kari took in 2015 with his 75-year-old dad, Merv, who had early-stage Alzheimer's. As I was editing this episode for Travis' show I found myself reflecting about my dad, some of the many adventures we have had together, and how fragile that all felt last summer when he was diagnosed with cancer againThere is a moment at the end of Kari and Travis' chat that just about killed me. I'm reminded how lucky I am to have the relationship with my dad (truly with both my parents) that I have, and if you are lucky enough to feel the same - I hope this conversation moves those same feelings in you. Please be sure to check out the Travis Macy Show for more inspiring conversations like this one - and also grab a copy of Kari's book!  Learn more about Kari LoyaBuy Conversations Across AmericaSupport the Show.

I am here this morning on Memorial Day to chat with you guys about the MRF workout and reflections for the MRF workout as a prenatal or maybe postpartum athlete. So whether you yourself have been that athlete and been prenatal or postpartum while doing MRF, or maybe the population of patients that you see is this prenatal space. I want to dive in to some reflections on that today. So first of all, we're going to kick it off. If you are not familiar with the CrossFit space, you're not in the CrossFit space. What is the Murph workout? So Murph is a workout. It's called a hero workout. it's done typically on or around a memorial day so whether memorial day weekend or memorial day itself it is a hero workout which is a named workout in the crossfit space for somebody that has given the ultimate sacrifice and paid their life for whatever the reason so michael murphy Um is who this workout is honoring he was a navy seal and he died in the line of duty So the workout itself is a one mile run 100 push-ups or sorry 100 pull-ups 200 push-ups 300 air squats and then you cap it all off with a mile run and the rx version of this workout is wearing a weight vest 20 pounds for guys 14 pounds for ladies If you have never done this workout, it's a long one. Most people kind of fluctuate like earlier times or fast times or sub one hour, but a lot of people tend to hover around that one hour a little bit more mark if they're doing a quote unquote full Murph. We also can do a half Murph, which is where we take that workout. and cut that volume in half. So the Murph itself is one of those workouts that is a really powerful symbol within the CrossFit community. Typically, most gyms are getting together, whether it's on that Saturday or on that Monday. It's a large community event. It's a really exciting thing to be a part of and a really exciting thing to come together. A lot of people really look forward to this workout every year. not only for the reason of what it represents and the fact that we're paying honor and tribute to people that have given that ultimate sacrifice of their lives so all of us have the freedoms that we have. but also because it is a pretty big test of fitness. And depending on what season of life we're in, sometimes those tests of fitness can be hard. Whether it is physically hard or emotionally hard, regardless, it can be tough. And in one of the largest seasons where we see that is in the perinatal space. So when somebody is pregnant or when somebody is maybe newly postpartum, and they're trying to figure out how to tackle Merv. it can be tough to set aside that athlete brain. It can be really hard to turn that off, especially if you're somebody that's done Murph maybe in the past, and you want to know where you shake out. Or if you're brand new to CrossFit, maybe you started doing CrossFit, found out you were pregnant shortly after, and you're seeing everybody in your gym get super excited about testing their fitness and seeing where they're at, seeing how they compare, maybe doing it for the first time, and knowing that you can't do it the way that you would quote unquote like to. So let's unpack that a little bit. For one, we at Ice really preach that we don't modify unless we need to modify. Just because we're pregnant, quote-unquote, is not a reason to modify MRF. If you're somebody that this workout is in your wheelhouse, maybe you are doing pull-ups and have been doing pull-ups in the gym. maybe push-ups are not bothersome to you, you're early enough on in pregnancy that your bum's not getting in the way, you feel good doing all those push-up volume, air squats feel great, running hasn't gotten to a point where it's bothersome at all, then there's no reason to modify the workout. We don't modify the workout because of pregnancy. We may be able to tweak it slightly, so maybe you partition instead of doing all of the reps in a row to save some of your core fatigue, So instead of doing 100, 200, 300, you do 5, 10, 15, and just give yourself some breaks in between. But if none of those movements are problematic for you and the volume isn't problematic for you, then it's okay to just do the workout, maybe a little bit slower than you otherwise would have, but it's okay to send it. If you're somebody who has issues with one of those movements, whether it is the pull-ups. You don't have that midline strength and stamina anymore and you're seeing a lot of that coning repeatedly over time and it's something that's bothersome to you or maybe the push-up volume is way too high for you or squatting below parallel triggers some pain. It's also okay to modify the workout. Modifying a Murph is not a sign of shame. Doing the Murph in and of itself is huge. modifying the MRF, whether that is because of pregnancy, whether that is in the postpartum season, or whether it's because of an injury, or you're a new CrossFitter, it's okay to modify when we have a reason to modify. It's still exciting to show up. It's still exciting to be a part of your community and do that workout. I have done this workout myself. This was my sixth MRF this year and I did it as a new postpartum. So it was three months postpartum and I was a newer crossfitter. I've done it as a, I think 18 week pregnant crossfitter. I've done it as a year-ish postpartum crossfitter, and then I've done it Rx twice. And in each of those seasons, the challenges were different. When I was a pregnant athlete, I wanted so badly to send it. I wanted to do a full MRF. I wanted to do the entire volume. But my body didn't feel great with that. And so that year, my husband and I ended up splitting the MRF. So we ran the mile together. It was a little bit slower than I otherwise would have ran. and we did you go, I go rounds and we took turns so that I had some built-in rest breaks because for me at that stage in my pregnancy, my heart rate was skyrocketing and I was having a really hard time managing that much volume with that high of a heart rate for that long a period of time. That was a challenging year for me. It has nothing to do with the physical side. Honestly, when we finished our MRF that we split, I was just like, okay, like that was fine, I guess. I'm excited I was here. But physically, it didn't feel like that much of a challenge. But that was the most mentally challenging year. On the flip side, the very first time I did MRF, I did a similar thing. I split a Murph, quote unquote, with a friend. We did you go, I go rounds. I was a newer CrossFitter and I was postpartum. So I scaled the pull-ups for ring rows. I did push-ups for my knees and I did air squats, but I did it all with a vest because I wanted to know if I could. So half a Murph shared with somebody, quote unquote, with a weight vest on, so reduced volume and scaled movements. And I have never felt so powerful than when I finished that workout at three months postpartum. It was awesome. So those are two very different seasons, two very different iterations of the workout from the standpoint of RX movements versus scaled movements, weight vest versus non-weight vest. And the outcome was different. One, I felt physically strong, mentally strong, felt super empowered. And one, honestly, was a really hard mental load for me because I wanted to do what all of my friends were doing in the gym and I wanted to be able to push myself. that athlete brain is tough to turn off. So if you are one of these patients, or one of these people that is doing MRF this year, or has done MRF by this point at 9.20 on a Monday Memorial Day morning, and you struggled with that, it's okay. If you have patients coming in in the future, and they're talking to you about, I wanna do MRF this year, but I just don't really know what to do, it's okay to tell them to modify. It's also okay if they wanna send it. At the end of the day, we're not modifying just for the sake of modifying. We had a gal in our gym last year who was in her 30th week of pregnancy. She's a former CrossFit Games athlete. She crushed it. She swapped out the pull-ups for ring rows, but otherwise did everything else RX and did fantastic and felt fantastic for her body. that challenge and that load was appropriate. We've also had people like myself who at 18 weeks pregnant decide that I need to modify. I'm not going to do a full Merv and I'm going to scale the movements. All of these options are okay. The beautiful thing about this workout is there are so many ways to modify it. There are so many ways to modify the movements themselves. There are so many ways to break up the volume. There are so many ways to cut the volume down. And at the end of the day, showing up and being a part of the community is what is really key this weekend. Being there, paying that tribute, showing that respect, and getting to be a part of your community is huge. If you're somebody that's been in this season and wants to chat more, shoot me a message. I would love to talk with you more. This is a topic that I'm super passionate about because I've been there. I've been in those shoes.
