We thought we were big Dirty Dancing fans, but Jenny one thousand percent has us both beat. When this film was released, it was the talk of the school for anyone whose parents allowed them to see it. For Jenny and all the others whose parents said “no way”, sneakily watching Dirty Dancing at a sleepover was basically a right of passage (and a spiritual experience). Ever since the first time Jenny laid eyes on Jennifer Grey, Dirty Dancing has been playing on a loop in her head.  Very few things need to be changed to make Dirty Dancing a canonically queer film. Francis “Baby Gay” Houseman (Jennifer Grey) is already a clear lesbian. There's literally nothing more lesbian than rolling into an unfamiliar situation and deciding it is now your job to solve a crime (and then solving that crime!). Francis' big clipboard energy is off the charts. Patrick Swayze as “Johnny Castle" isn't exactly giving heterosexual either. His whole persona reads as more ‘butch lesbian' than straight dude. Not to mention that just 8 years later, To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar was released starring Patrick Swayze as the drag queen, Vida. It's not exactly a leap for us to view this cult classic as a Dirty Dancing sequel where Johnny is finally living his truth.  We know one thing for sure, Dirty Dancing Should've Been Gay. Nach dem Stromausfall in Reutlingen und Umgebung fordert die AG KRITIS, die sich mit kritischer Infrastruktur beschäftigt, mehr Resilienz. Manuel Atug, Sachverständiger für kritische Infrastruktur, Gründer und Sprecher der AG KRITIS, hat im Gespräch mit SWR Aktuell-Moderator Bernhard Seiler gesagt, nur durch Resilienz ließen sich potenzielle Täter abschrecken, weil ihr Angriff ohne Auswirkungen bleibe.

In dieser Folge erzählen wir euch von dem zweiten Teil unseres bisher größten Abenteuers. Die nächsten 500 km auf dem Thru-Hike mit 1000 km in 30 Tagen. Diese Tage musste Robert nun leider verletzungsbedingt alleine bestreiten. Der zweite Teil schließt von den tollen Erfahrungen nahtlos an den ersten Teil an. Wunderschöne Natur, tolle Begegnungen und vor allem einiges an Trail Magic. Einzig das Wetter spielte dann nicht mehr ganz so mit. Kälte, Wind, Hagel und Regen waren ständige Begleiter. Das Unknown Race 2025 findet zum ersten Mal in Spanien statt – und damit endlich bei Bedingungen, die der Community jahrelang gefehlt haben. Keine Schneefahrbahn auf Alpenpässen, kein Hagel in den Bergen, kein Dauerregen in der Nacht. Dafür: Wind. Brutaler, anhaltender Wind, der Christoph auf dem Weg zum ersten Checkpoint an seine Grenzen bringt. Christoph erzählt von seiner Vorbereitung: radikal weniger Gepäck als in den Jahren zuvor, ein neu montierter Flaschenhalter aus dem Triathlon-Bereich, den er bewusst bisher nicht öffentlich gezeigt hat und der eine mit Kohlehydrat Pulver gefüllte Flasche trägt. Dazu eine klare Entscheidung für Bikerouter als einziges Tool zur Routenplanung – einmal planen, drauf vertrauen, nicht mehr herumüberlegen. Bei einem Treffen mit Uba kurz vor dem Start gibt es auch noch etwas Insider Wissen: die Pyrenäen werden sicher nicht auf der Strecke liegen, denn dort liegt noch zu viel Schnee, die meisten Pässe sind gesperrt. Die Episode endet kurz vor Checkpoint 2 – mitten in einer bilderbuchhaften Tallandschaft mit Serpentinen, Stausee und irrem Gegenwind. Was danach passiert, folgt nächste Woche.
