In today's episode I talk to Becky Aste. Becky is a trauma-informed marriage coach and the host of the podcast Your Breakthrough Blueprint. She is the CEO of “I Do Breakthrough”, a company dedicated to equipping wives to repair their connections in their marriage by moving trauma out of the body. After spending many years researching and going through every mainstream modality of healing to save her own marriage, she found herself after two children, separated from her husband. At the final hour, she stumbled upon the unconventional game changer of somatic work that took her marriage from dying to thriving in less than a year. Becky says that whether it's betrayal, addiction, abandonment, abuse, neglect, grief or something else we've survived, our body keeps the score and can become an unconscious emotional block to the connections in our lives. Becky talks about the importance of the relationship that we have with ourselves and how it affects every contact we have with others. We discuss the importance of clearing trauma in the body and mind in order to achieve healing on a deeper level and allow ourselves to have more meaningful relationships. Having an impact on people in every way possible is one of the most rewarding feelings as a practitioner. But for practice owners like you who wear so many hats in their business, how do you balance business and family life? And why is it so essential to clear your mind before starting your day? How important is journaling to business owners like you to help you focus? Do you want to be known as the average of the ordinary, or do you want to be known as the best version of yourself? Becky Webb is a NASM-SFC, NASM-CNC, NSCA-CPT, NCI Level 1 Nutrition Coach, NCI Hormone Specialist, NCI Gut Health Specialist, NCI Mindset Coach, Spartan SGX Coach, Level 2 CrossFit Coach, Barre Above Instructor, TRX Instructor and Women's Self Defense Instructor. Coach Becky originally wanted to create a stretch room with a desk for nutrition coaching. When she was introduced to the amazing benefits of compression recovery therapy and photobiomodulation therapy (PBMT), she knew she had to add those services to assist in improving overall well-being and muscle recovery. She personally believes that every single human can benefit from the services offered at Stretchify and has set out on a mission to help as many humans on this earth as possible to live their best life through optimizing their daily performance. This week's Healthcare Hacks and Connections, Nathan Navas and Becky Webb will talk about how powerful it is to go back to your "Why's" in doing the things that you love and how to get past your fear of talking with people who are bigger than you to be able to continue to impact lives as much as possible through mindset and developing successful habits to be the best version of yourself. They will touch on such topics as:Practice owners like you have reasons why you went into healthcare, but a lot of people forget about it several times, and when businesses start to go down, owners start to lose focus. It is important to know the reason why you started your business to align with the "why's" of your staff because you'll both clash if you don't align with the mission that you are on.Make sure, from the beginning, that trust and transparency are your core values. If someone violates that, the door is shut.Everything has an expiration date. Your loyalty and "why's" have an expiration date. It is important to drive back and think if you are changing for good or bad reasons. If your "why" is strong enough to be consistent, you will naturally develop that drive to do one more thing. The best referrals are your clients.Being humble acknowledges the fact that you do have your own strengths and talents and that there is only one of you on this earth. Life is not about comparing yourself to other people.Don't take criticism from people that you would never look up to.You can't let yourself be intimidated and don't compare yourself. Make sure to not have a room for such things in your life, because the second that you let that in, is the moment that you are going to fail.Every journey is going to have ups and downs, but balance and consistency are ultimately going to pay off when you are looking for any kind of goal.Equanimity is finding peace and balance in your journey every single day. It is celebrating small wins, but it is also acknowledging what went wrong.Be okay with learning experiences because you don't fail until you quit. Most people, when they set goals, tend to pull back and lose motivation. You can't start a goal and expect to finish it on a motivational loan. You have to exercise discipline, and that's where equanimity comes in, because it fuels motivation and success in chain reaction. Hack: There is only one of you. Everyone else is taken, so why not be the best version of yourself? That's going to lead you to success in any regard.
