So excited to have Coach Jodi Stonehocker on the podcast today!  Jodi joined our team at the end of 2024, but she came to us with tremendous experience having been a nutrition coach since 2015, collecting multiple certifications across the years to grow her specialties, from CrossFit Level 1 & 2, Precision Nutrition, MMU Level 1, and even FDN-P- Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner.  Her passion for helping women started with her own journey, growing up watching her parents experience multiple health challenges and seeing her mom in and out of doctors offices with a brain tumor... Ultimately Jodi knew she wanted to put herself on a different path of better health.  She was always athletic, from competitive cheerleading to CrossFit, but eventually her body could no longer handle overtraining and undereating, and she developed Hashimotos, which is an autoimmune disease of the thyroid. This is what led her down the path of functional health and really diving into both how the body works on a scientific biological level as well as doing the deep work in mindset, realizing that so many women like herself need more than basic nutrition and fitness coaching.  Now she has her Hashimotos in remission and loves to teach other women how to live a balanced life with holistic health habits and a good mind/body balance. Jodi lives in Utah with her husband and 5 & 7 year old boys. They are an active family who love skiing, surfing, hiking, and anything outdoors! In this episode, we dive into Jodi's background and why she went the functional route after her second child, finding balance with Crossfit, why she finds so much joy in 1-1 coaching, and more! Time Stamps: (0:10) Introducing Assistant Coach Jodi (8:10) Choosing The Functional Route After 2nd Child (11:30) Finding Balance with Crossfit (16:12) The Joy of 1-1 Coaching (18:30) Integrating A Holistic Approach (22:36) How To Do It All As A Mom (25:20) You Are Not Broken (26:46) Where To Find Jodi---------------------Follow @vanessagfitness on Instagram for daily fitness tips & motivation. ---------------------Download Our FREE Metabolism-Boosting Workout Program---------------------Join the Women's Metabolism Secrets Facebook Community for 25+ videos teaching you how to start losing fat without hating your life!---------------------Click here to send me a message on Facebook and we'll see how I can help or what best free resources I can share!---------------------Interested in 1-on-1 Coaching with my team of Metabolism & Hormone Experts? Women go on hormone therapy to manage peri/menopause symptoms and feel better. But sometimes to their surprise, they feel worse. Or some symptoms go away while others pop up. That's because of the hormones! We have hormone receptors all over our body and whenever we switch up the signals they're receiving, whether through the menopause transition itself or through the hormones we use, they're going to respond to those changes, and sometimes not in the way we want. Most side effects are manageable with time or by dialing in delivery methods and/or doses. It's just important to know what to expect. We talk all about it this week with our resident menopause specialist Dr. Carla DiGirolamo.Carla DiGirolamo, MD, PhD, is a Double Board Certified Reproductive Endocrinologist and Obstetrician/Gynecologist specializing in infertility and menopausal medicine. Kim started her athleticism as a four-year-old.  Kim has played several sports through her school years and hated running.  Ironically, Kim now is an ultra-runner.  Currently, Kim is a register dietician, RRCA Road Running Coach, Precision Nutrition Level 1 Nutrition Coach and a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer.  Kim had great ideas to get past the ‘guilt' of the holidays.  Bring a dish to pass that you know that you'll like and it's healthy.  Keep hydrated, take small bites of the foods that you want to try.  Also, Kim reminds us to eat a normal breakfast, and the other meals can be a fun meal.  One meal isn't going to make or break our weight loss or performance journey.  Kim does recommend limiting alcohol as there are empty calories, our bodies don't like digesting alcohol and it's not useful for us.    Going into 2025, what can your non-pro athlete do to help get through the year.  Staying hydrated is number one.  Starting your day with water is start.  Protein is also at the top of this list.  Many people need protein consistently throughout the day and being aware of what protein you're eating.  Fruits and vegetables should be added to more diets.  Frozen and canned are really good options as they're picked when they have the most nutrients.  Quality of food is the next level to work with.  Snacks on the go don't have to be hard.  You can take a cooler with you and carry protein shakes, fruits, hard boiled eggs, egg bites, cheese sticks, protein bars, protein cookies, vegetables or nuts.    I will be working with Kim on nutrition starting in February 2025.  In with Kim has a nice ring to it, so stay posted on my updates through 2025.    You can follow Kim at: LinkedIn – Kim Krapcha, MS, RD, CF-L1, CLT, RYT Instagram – mrc_nutritionandwellness as well as mudrunnerchick Facebook – Mud Runner Chick Website – https://mrcnutritionandwellness.com/     You can follow the I Can Do Anything Podcast at: Email me at – icandoanythingpod@gmail.com Watch on YouTube - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCeI1EHGodsDgwYbvHuOxLQQ And then there is always my website - www.icandoanythingpod.com Like and subscribe on Facebook - https://bit.ly/3bG0Efk Follow on X (Twitter) - https://bit.ly/2yqZczb Find me on Instagram - https://bit.ly/2xDFIa4 Get your merch here - https://bit.ly/teespringicdapod You can listen anywhere you get your podcasts, such as Spotify

Have you ever felt stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, whether in your relationships, health, or personal growth? Do you find yourself numbing emotions, whether through overeating, anger, or isolation, wondering why true fulfillment feels out of reach? You're not alone—many people struggle to break free from these invisible barriers. These patterns often stem from unresolved emotions, deeply ingrained beliefs, and life challenges that push us to the edge. When left unaddressed, they manifest in ways that hold us back—through strained relationships, self-sabotaging behaviors, or even physical health issues. It's a cycle that feels impossible to escape without the right tools, leaving many of us searching for answers in all the wrong places. Meet Michele Blumenthal, she is the Owner of M3: Mind and Motion with Michele, Certified Coach of Neuro Linguistic Programming, Practitioner of NLP, Hypnosis & Timeline Therapy, and CrossFit Level 1, Gymnastics & Nutrition Certified Coach. Michelle's story is a powerful example of finding calmness amidst the chaos. As a parent of a son battling addiction, she was forced to confront not just his struggles but her own emotional patterns that affected how she showed up for him and herself. Through neuro linguistic programming (NLP), emotional mastery, and hypnosis, Michelle learned to self-soothe, reframe limiting beliefs, and ultimately transform her life. Now, she empowers others to do the same—helping clients overcome their own barriers, heal emotionally, and build extraordinary lives. "Hypnosis is really just being in a relaxed state. That practice that I've done with my clients has been really transformative for them and something that they repeat for themselves often, which is really nice, and that they can learn how to self-soothe themselves." - Michelle Blumenthal What you will learn from this episode: 03:08 - Michele sharing her deeply personal journey and making significant life changes 09:44 - The heartbreaking struggles her son faced with mental health issues, including suicide attempts and substance use 11:12 - Intense challenges of navigating her son's addiction and overcoming them 15:40 - How finding support through Al-Anon and a specialized group called Other Parents Like Me provided her with the emotional connection and guidance she needed to navigate her son's recovery 21:11 - Opening up about how her personal growth and transformation stemmed from a combination of supportive communities, family therapy, NLP training, meditation, journaling, and ongoing personal development work 26:38 - Her journey from suppressing emotions and performing under immense stress to finding peace and connection through personal growth and transformative work 43:52 -  Personal growth and healing through NLP and emotional mastery, emphasizing its transformative impact on her life and her work 45:57 - How you can contact Michele 46:44 - Highlighting how Hypnosis empowers clients to self-soothe leading to transformative and repeatable self-regulation practices Connect with Michele Blumenthal: Website: https://m3mindmotion.com/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/michele-davidorf-blumenthal-33722513/ Valuable Resources: Free Monthly Hypnosis for Weight Loss Session Join the 8-week Fastrack to Food Freedom Program -Guaranteed mental and emotional freedom from food  Connect With Leslie Thornton: Book A Clarity Call Free 2 Hour Masterclass—How I Lost Weight Permanently and Stopped Stress Eating without Dieting or Strenuous Exercise Website Facebook LinkedIn Email: Leslie@hpwl.co If you enjoy the podcast, Would you please consider leaving a quick review on Apple Podcasts/iTunes in under 60 seconds?
