This time Dr. Adriana Popescu is joined by psychotherapist, bodyworker, musician, educator, and Family Constellations facilitator, Lynn Ervin.   They discuss the infinite creative and healing possibilities available when we work with the unseen world, unearth family trauma, acknowledge ancestors, and engage with Family Constellations.   Tune in to discover the amazing gift of opening the door to this information, energy, and awareness.    In this episode: Lynn’s crossroads Discovering bodywork Shamanic traditions Bert Hellinger and the Zulu tribe Ancestral work Family Constellations The Orders of Love Trauma treatment Family history and origins Healing The role of acknowledgment Family Constellation facilitation Representatives Online Constellations Systemic Constellations   Resources mentioned in this episode: Lynn’s Website: https://lynnervin.com Bert Hellinger & Family Constellations: https://www.hellinger.com/en/family-constellation/goo Sarah Payton website: https://sarahpeyton.com Your Resonant Self: https://www.yourresonantself.com Constellations you can attend online:  Katherine Revoir: https://richerliving.org/family-constellations/ Michelle Masters: https://michellemastersnlp.com/family-constellations/   About Lynn: Lynn Ervin is a Northern California-based psychotherapist who brings four decades of personal and professional growth and experience informed by her unique perspective as a mixed-race woman, musician, bodyworker, and educator. Lynn holds a BA in Psychology from San Francisco State University and a master’s degree in Social Work from San Jose State University.    Lynn’s work is grounded in the belief that when experiencing trauma (either your own or ancestral), and feeling overwhelmed by painful emotions, self-doubt, and anxiety, we often develop coping skills that don’t get to the root of, or resolve our symptoms, but instead, actually perpetuate and bury the issue. This keeps us stuck in the same inherited narrative, behavior, and patterns of family trauma, abuse, and addiction that prevent the healing needed to move forward in our lives with compassion.     Lynn’s approach is steeped in the study of Transgenerational Trauma, Attachment Theory, Family Systems, Interpersonal Neurobiology, Polyvagal Theory, and Nonviolent Communication. She weaves trauma-informed somatic approaches like EMDR, Internal Family Systems/Parts Work, and Family Constellations, while drawing on the wisdom of several indigenous culture’s earth-based traditions, including German psychologist Bert Hellinger’s Family Constellation work, which is an adaptation from the Zulu people of South Africa. Lynn is also a Mesa holder in the cross cultural Pachakuti Mesa Tradition Lineage of Don Oscar Miro Quesada, as well as a stick diviner and shrine keeper in the lineage of the Dagara people of West Africa.   Often, connections aren’t seen unless we look deeply into the symptom and the family history and ask the right questions. A skilled Family Facilitator can help you to connect the dots. Lynn understands how to help her clients move towards a felt sense of belonging and self-compassion by teaching them how to make sense of the trauma stored in their bodies and the origins of their suffering.     “It is very powerful and it gets to the root of the trauma, that could be ancestral.” – Lynn   Would you like to continue this conversation and connect with other people who are interested in exploring these topics? Lessons in Courage, by Don Oscar Miro-Quesada, is a guide for changing our lives and bringing much needed healing to ourselves and our planet through the applied wisdom of Peruvian shamanism. This book offers us challenges, insights, and daily practices to aid us in becoming the people the New World needs us to be. Host, Christina Pratt, explores this new book with Don Oscar, originator of The Pachakuti Mesa Tradition (PMT), a five-part workshop apprenticeship series and tradition rooted in the Peruvian spiritual methods of sacred relationship with the Earth. Don Oscar is the founder of The Heart of the Healer (THOTH) Foundation and our next guest for the Society of Shamanic Practitioners sponsored interview series. In this series we explore how contemporary shamans are meeting the challenge of their world where the relations of things are profoundly out of balance. It is the ancient role of the shaman in all cultures to tend the balance of things. How is this shaman meeting this extraordinary need today?

“Any heartfelt practitioner of shamanism in the world today is deeply aware of the vital evolutionary role of this ancestral eco-spiritual tradition… Indigenous culture is based on the understanding that people are not moved through persuasion; rather, people are moved through being aligned in purpose,” explains our guest, Don Oscar Miro-Quesada, “…one’s experience of communion and reconnection with the living earth always arouses the desire to act on its behalf…(and when) you act on behalf of something greater than yourself, you begin to feel it acting through you with a power that is greater than your own”. Join host, Christina Pratt, and Don Oscar, originator of The Pachakuti Mesa Tradition (PMT), a five-part workshop apprenticeship series and tradition rooted in the Peruvian spiritual methods of sacred relationship with the Earth. Don Oscar is our next guest for the Society of Shamanic Practitioners sponsored interview series. In this series we explore how contemporary shamans are meeting the challenge of their world where the relations of things are profoundly out of balance. It is the ancient role of the shaman in all cultures to tend the balance of things. How is this shaman meeting this extraordinary need today?
