Interview with Scott Williamson, Managing Director of Blackstone Minerals (ASX:BSX) We've spoken to Williamson several timers now and he is a straight-talker who answers our questions. Blackstone Minerals is an Asian nickel explorer and developer targeting massive sulfides in Asia. The main focus right now is on the company's Vietnamese nickel project. It is low-cost, high-grade and district-scale with the potential of feeding the developing hub of battery manufacturing, Asia, with a large amount of the nickel it needs to grow. The company recently made a deal with EcoPro, a giant Korean cathode manufacturer. This has given Blackstone Minerals plenty of knowledge but also plenty of deliverables. The company needs to have a PFS out in the next 9-months, followed by a bankable study with construction being earmarked for 2022. It's an extremely aggressive plan, and with US$7M in the bank, can Williamson and his experienced team deliver it? Is it even the right timeframe to be looking at in light of c current nickel prices? I have been watching the progress over the last 6 months and Scott has been busy getting a strategic partnership secured with EcoPro. EcoPro is a South Korea - based company engage in the battery and environment material business. EcoPro manufacture cathode active materials and precursors for Lithium-ion batteries. The partnership with EcoPro will secure the future of the project in delivering an end-user to the process of mining and delivering nickel to the EV industry. Blackstone Minerals Limited (ASX: BSX) is a company that is listed on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX) which is exploring and mining nickel sulphide. The company has projects in Australia, Vietnam, and Canada.

Interview with Scott Williamson, Managing Director of Blackstone Minerals (ASX:BSX)Blackstone Minerals: a nickel-cobalt-gold (battery/precious metals) company looking to get into production within the next 3 years. Ambitious.Blackstone Minerals is an ASX-listed junior, exploring the Ta Khoa Nickel Project in Vietnam, the BC Cobalt Project and gold and nickel projects in Western Australia. The primary focus is on Ta Khoa, which previously operated between 2013 and 2016. Williamson claims the previous owners sunk over A$130M into the project; this creates an obvious disparity with Blackstone Minerals' market cap, A$27M, which had been steadily falling away but has made a comeback in the last few weeks. The share price stands at A$0.14 today. Blackstone Minerals is looking to bring the project back into production and take advantage of the inbound EV revolution, by feeding the nickel concentrate into the nickel sulfate for the Li-ion battery industry.What's the big news recently? A deal between EcoPro, the largest cathode manufacturer in Korea, and second-largest globally, and Blackstone Mineral was announced. The binding share purchase agreement outlines a commitment for A$6.8 million at a 62% premium to Blackstone Minerals’ 30 day VWAP. EcoPro will end up with 17% of Blackstone Minerals shares. Looks like a smart piece of negotiation.Williamson thinks the market will take a while to process the significance of this transaction and is perhaps a little unaware of how large a player EcoPro is. Williamson sees EcoPro as the "perfect partner," and will reveal its value over time.Blackstone Minerals is on track for its maiden resource in June/July. This will be followed by a PEA in August/September. Williamson sees this as a catalyst moment where the market will realise just how much nickel has been left behind, and how economic the first ore body will be. The money will also be used to explore other ore bodies, but the main focus is to move all the studies through to a bankable Feasibility Study. Blackstone Minerals is fully funded to this point. The cost structure at the Ta Khoa Nickel Project is impressive; to put this into context, drilling costs A$60 per metre, as opposed to A$300 in Australia and A$500 in Canada. The nickel ore body itself is twice the grade that Blackstone Minerals was expecting at 1% nickel. Williamson describes this nickel as a "significant tonnage..." that will "deliver a 20-year mine."Williamson is currently conducting metallurgical test work in order to assess the potential monetisation of the byproducts (platinum, palladium, gold, rhodium, copper, cobalt) at Ta Khoa, but he is confident all the metals will be economic and add an extra 20% revenue on top of the nickel.What is the CAPEX looking like at Ta Khoa? c. US$100M for a downstream processing facility, plus additional capital to upgrade the concentrator. Williamson is confident Blackstone Minerals will "land below" A$200M total. Williamson claims this is very competitive. He also insists that EcoPro will not accept anything less than achieving production within 3 years. Più lunga (+74 mm) larga (+ 39 mm) e bassa (- 5 mm) della versione precedente, la Serie 6 Coupè si caratterizza anche per un inedito frontale che trae giovamento dalla calandra leggermente inclinata in avanti e da nuovi gruppi ottici che a richiesta possono essere completamente a Led. Le fiancate riprendono le forme classiche dei coupé firmati BMW con il classico montante posteriore a C ed il giro finestrini impreziosito da una cornice color alluminio che esalta ancora di più le splendide forme della vettura. Nella vista posteriore, la Serie 6 Coupè trasmette immediatamente una sensazione di grande tenuta di strada e solidità grazie soprattutto alla bombatura dei passaruota ed alla generosissima carreggiata. All’interno l’ambiente è come di consueto improntato all’eleganza ed alla raffinatezza grazie alle finiture impeccabili ed alla maniacale cura nell’abbianmento cromatico e di materiali pregiati. Come sempre all’interno di una BMW, l’ergonomia e la funzionalità rimangono una priorità. Alla guida della Serie 6 Coupé tutti i comadi sono disposti in maniera logica ed intuitiva. Ottimi il nuovo schermo multifunzione da ben 10,2 pollici e l’Head-up display che consente di tenere d’occhio i dati essenziali sul funzionamento della vettura senza dover distogliere lo sguardo dalla strada. Come ci si attende su una vettura di questa classe, BMW ha implementato sulla Serie 6 Coupé tutto il meglio della tecnologia BMW Connected Drive che incorpora, tra l’altro, Night Vision con telecamera ad infrarossi, Lane Change Warning, Lane Departure Warning e Speed Limit Info. Non manca una telecamera con sorround view e Park Assistance. Grosse novità anche sulla gamma motori. Alle sempre più potenti ed efficienti unità a benzina a 6 e 8 cilindri già viste sulla versione Cabrio, si aggiungono ora un potentissimo (313 CV) diesel a sei cilindri da 3 litri in grado di abbinare prestazioni in linea con il carattere della vettura con consumi ed emissioni contenutissimi (5,4 l/100 km e 143 g/km di CO2). Inedita anche la versione xDrive della 650i. Sul fronte dell’efficienza da segnalare, oltre alla presenza del pacchetto completo EfficientDynamics, la possibilità sulle versioni a sei cilindri di selezionare la funzione EcoPro che consente risparmi di carburante fino al 20%.
