In the left-wing religion of "anti-racism," whiteness is the original sin, and those who possess it can never find redemption. And yet this sinister, unholy religion has increasingly penetrated actual Christianity. Pastor, author, and evangelist Voddie Baucham Jr. joins Charlie to talk about his book "Fault Lines: The Social Justice Movement and Evangelicalism's Looming Catastrophe," which has now been made into a brand-new miniseries. Baucham explains why woke precepts are so seductive, and why no threat of being called a "racist" is worth losing one's shot at Heaven.Support the show: http://www.charliekirk.com/supportSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Former President Donald Trump was arraigned yesterday in NYC. But for what? The charges are not clear. This is a political hit job and nothing more. Our justice system is now an international embarrassment… Dennis talks to Voddie Baucham, dean of the School of Divinity at African Christian University in Lusaka, Zambia. His most recent book is Fault Lines: The Social Justice Movement and Evangelicalism's Looming Catastrophe.  Did you or your spouse experience a mid-life crisis? If so, what was the cause? Callers have stories.  Dennis talks to Vivek Ramaswamy, best-selling author and entrepreneur. He's running for president… We have another clarifying moment: where do you stand on the indictment? If you believe it is fully justified in law, you're on the left. If you think it's a farce, you're on the right… Tonight is Passover. Sunday is Easter. What's the difference between our secular culture's concept of "Social Justice" and the Bible's true concept of justice? Since the rise of the Black Lives Matter Movement in the wake of the George Floyd riots of 2020, Social Justice has been a hot topic in the cultural conversation. Whether it be through reparations and affirmative action policies, mandatory Equity, Diversity and Inclusion training at our workplaces, Critical Race Theory curriculum in schools, colleges and universities, or not-so-subtle messaging in movies and entertainment - it seems like it is unavoidable these days. As Christians, we must be prepared to give a Biblical answer to our cultural moment today. In this episode, we unpack 6 markers of true Biblical Justice in contrast to Social Justice and see how God's standards of justice are better and more beautiful than the secular perversion of justice. You can read the article version of this episode here. Wokeness is a big issue in our culture today and it is seeping into the Church. Yet many don't realize just how insidious and dangerous this ideology really is to the Church and the Gospel. This episode builds on our last episode - "Wokeness, Social Justice and the Church" - to dive deeper into the underlying worldview issues. Woke ideology has a different account of origins and purpose, of sin and what's wrong with the world, of what we must do to make things right again and of its hope for the future. Stemming from its Marxist origins, it tends to be utopian in its outlook, yet brings with it destruction and division leading to dystopia. It is applied to a wide array of cultural issues today such as racism, feminism, LBGTQ issues, post-colonialism, ableism, gender studies, and many more. However, as we will see in this episode, wokeness is an Anti-Gospel that only offers perpetual guilt, never-ending penance with no hope of absolution or forgiveness and a false promise of a utopian future that it can't deliver on. Christians must be aware and prepared to give an answer to these important issues. You can read the article version of this episode here. Social Justice is an often misunderstood, hot-button issue these days. Yet it is one which the Church must grapple with. However, instead, many churches have succumbed to it, adopting anti-biblical doctrines and woke ideologies, they have forfeited biblical justice for the world's secular version of social justice. In this episode, we take a look at how woke ideology and social justice have invaded the Evangelical church through many prominent teachers and pastors and take a look at the dangers it poses. We also define some of the common phrases and concepts such as Postmodernism, Cultural Marxism, Critical Theory, Intersectionality, and Equality versus Equity to see how they are applied on a host of issues such as racism, ableism, feminism, LBGTQ issues, and more. Finally, we will compare and contrast the Bible's vision of justice with that of woke social justice to see that it is antithetical to Scripture. This is an audio narration of the book review, "Strong Medicine for a Fatal Disease | Social Justice, Critical Race Theory & the Gospel" The issue of racism has come to the fore more and more in recent years. With the death of George Floyd, we saw an eruption of mass protests, demonstrations, and even riots break out all over the U.S. Many different voices have expressed differing opinions about the issue. However, one of the ideologies that have come to the forefront is that of Critical Race Theory. Some Christians believe that it can be a helpful "analytical tool". However, is it really that innocent? In Dr. Baucham's book, he analyzes the issues and applies solid, biblical theology to the topic to analyze the roots and merits of Critical Race Theory and Intersectionality. He also points out some of the dangers of movements like Black Lives Matter and how Christians are sometimes carried away with errant teachings on this topic. His book is a clarion call and strong medicine for what Dr. Baucham diagnoses as a fatal disease. It is well worth the read and a needed challenge to a lot of the prevailing narratives and ideologies of our day. I hope that this book review will be helpful and perhaps inspire you to pick up a copy of Dr. Voddie Baucham Jr's book, "Fault Lines: The Social Justice Movement and Evangelicalism's Looming Catastrophe". ---------------------- Please visit theotivity.com for more content. What is Critical Theory? Many people talk about it and vilify it, but what exactly is it? If you don't know what it is, don't worry, we've got you covered. This episode is a crash course on the main points of Critical Theory (CT). You may be surprised to find out that CT is not only about race, but about gender, sexuality, age, weight, abilities, and a host of other things. As Christians, we need to evaluate these types of cultural viewpoints and compare them with a biblical worldview. We hope that this episode will give you a quick understanding of CT and also help you to see how it is incompatible with a biblical worldview. We are praying that you will use this information to help those around you understand the flaws of CT and how Christianity makes sense of the way the world actually is. Critical Race Theory saturates our media and is pressed forward by most within formal educational circles. But Christians seem either uninformed or divided on how CRT should be handled. Therefore, the glaring question remains: should followers of Christ embrace parts or all of the theory or reject and denounce it completely? This week, Aaron, and guest-hosts Dashawn Cousins and Shane Scott discuss what CRT is, what it's not, what critical thinking and Christian unity actually looks like, and what it means to love one another well in light of the gospel.  “We need to think critically and celebrate what God has given us, love one another across boundaries, seek the unity that Jesus prays for in John 17, and direct people again and again to the Word of God, and pushing forward the truth.” ~ Aaron Currin  Guest Hosts Dashawn Cousins Shane Scott Links Watch Out of Oz on YouTube  Man Up and Go SBC Legacy Church Out of Oz 0105: Is Social Justice Biblical? First, Dr. Baucham gives everyone an update on his health and how he's been doing recently after his trip to the hospital, and then we get into the details of his new book, "Fault Lines: The Social Justice Movement and Evangelicalism's Looming Catastrophe." The book seeks to expose and highlight the dangerous side of leftist buzzwords like "critical justice" and "social justice." Dr. Baucham traces the history of critical race theory back to its Marxist roots and how these ideologies start with mistaken assumptions about oppression and "hegemonic power." We discuss accusations of white supremacy in the Southern Baptist Convention, how Christians should respond to corporate guilt, and much more. --- Dr. Voddie Baucham's Fault Lines: The Social Justice Movement and Evangelicalism's Looming Catastrophe book https://bit.ly/3xbOC7I --- Today's Sponsors: Annie's Kit Clubs helps you relax & recharge by getting in touch with your creative side. Worldly, godless constructs such as Critical Race Theory, the Social Justice Movement, neo-Marxism, and Intersectionality have captivated the minds of many rendering them fools as they worship the creature rather than the Creator who is blessed forever.--I highly recommend Voddie Baucham's book, -Fault Lines- The Social Justice Movement and Evangelicalism's Looming Catastrophe,- for a wonderfully understandable and detailed treatment of these current issues.--People around the world, saved and unsaved, are buying into these worldly, anti-intellectual constructs to varying degrees. Yes, sadly, all of the things I've mentioned thus far are infiltrating so-called -evangelical churches- to one degree or another.--I see three primary groups of people who have been captivated by the present zeitgeists-these spirits of the age- the doubting -those who may simply be ignorant and unable to discern truth from error-, the insistent -those seemingly willfully hurling themselves headlong into the flames of falsehood and who need to be snatched from them-, and the immovable -those wholly given over to the zeitgeists and committed to propagating false teachings and worldviews, as well as demanding submission to them-.--Jude's New Testament letter written to unspecified Jewish Christians addresses these three categories of people-all of whom desperately need to hear the gospel and to receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.--While Jude addresses unspecified false teachers-teachings that had already infiltrated the church, I see the text having a wider application to the many false teachings infiltrating the church today -i.e. LGBTQ, CRT, Social Justice, Intersectionality,

On this episode of Lighthouse Faith podcast, Voddie Baucham talks about the 'critical' challenges now facing the Christian Church in its quest to be racially compassionate, and that evangelicals are teetering close to denying the authority of Scripture. Being a Black male who grew up in the gang-infested area of Los Angeles, Baucham has a unique perspective on this current cultural moment of Critical Race Theory, Critical Social Justice, and the Woke ideology. In his new book, "Fault Lines: The Social Justice Movement and Evangelicalism's Looming Catastrophe", Baucham does more than ruffle a few feathers. He plucks the fowl of all its plumage, exposing the false narratives of the movement that is fast encroaching on the Church. For example, the oft repeated statistic that Black men are killed by police 2.5x more than White men is statistically unfounded. Baucham sites two studies, one by a Harvard professor and another by the National Institute of Sciences, which found it to be false. But Baucham's real point is that these false narratives conflict with the Bible. He says in "Fault Lines", "I believe the current concept of social justice is incompatible with biblical Christianity," and warns that "the current cultural movement is at best precarious."  Baucham could almost be considered a walking and talking enigma, whose life today is in stark contrast to his early upbringing. Raised by a single mother in the gang and drug ladened world of Los Angeles' Watts neighborhood, Baucham was steeped in his identity of being Black. He played college football and considered an NFL career. Malcolm X was his hero, until he met Jesus Christ. Now the conservative Christian, father of nine children, who is the Dean of Theology at African Christian University in Lusaka, Zambia, is on the verge of becoming a household name. His new book lays out a scenario by which all will be challenged to check their prejudices at the door, and that racial reconciliation is not just about White's making reparations for the past crime of slavery, but a collective effort of all of God's children, made in His image.

Voddie T. Baucham's Fault Lines: The Social Justice Movement and Evangelicalism's Looming Catastrophe is an excellent book. Voddie reminds me here why I have admired and appreciated him so much over the years. My wife Lauren and I had the pleasure of hearing him speak at Cedarville University's chapel twice in 2006 when we were attending there, and he still communicates with the same grace, truth, and love he did back then. In short, this is a book about arguably the most pressing issue facing the church in our lifetimes. Will social justice and critical theory be allowed to fundamentally transform our understanding of God's Word, ourselves, salvation, grace, sin, and the gospel? Or will the church standing in humble confidence and faith on the inerrancy and sufficiency of Scripture continue to be salt and light as Christ our Savior calls us to? --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/garrett-ashley-mullet/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/garrett-ashley-mullet/support

In this bonus episode, I go through Voddie Baucham's latest book. Here's my Amazon review of this book: Slowly, more and more faithful material is coming out and demystifying the darkness surrounding Critical Race Theory. However, as far as I know, there haven't been any books that have dealt with it faithfully from a perspective that spells out who is saying what while backing up why we should be cautious. Voddie Baucham has done a massive service in writing this book as he charitably and clearly spells out the parties. Already, the statements coming out from various seminary professors who'd like to hide behind the mist are condemning the book. If you are interested in this subject and curious as to why so called celebrity pastors would fall on such opposite ends of the issue, this book is a must read. It is not inherently unChristlike to name names. Prophets named names. So did apostle Paul. When done in the right way as Voddie does in this book, it is altogether God-glorifying. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/thesurpassingvalue/message

It's Thursday! As you can see in this first week of season two, we're doing things a bit different. On today's show, as we bring The Book Nook back as a weekly show, we'll be reviewing Voddie Baucham's "What He Must Be: If He Wants To Marry My Daughter". Mr. Baucham is currently the Dean of Seminary at African Christian University, in Zambia. He has written several books on faith, leadership, Christian apologetics and more. He has a new one coming out in April "Fault Lines: The Social Justice Movement and Evangelicalism's Looming Catastrophe". My wife and I have read a couple of his books and gave this one to all the kids to read years ago, now that Elizabeth is approaching 18 it's her turn. But this time we'll be sharing the experience with you as well. In this book Voddie unfolds standards we should hold to when considering marriage and preparing our sons and daughters. Things we all should be looking for. Today we're reviewing chapters one and two, "Multigenerational Vision" and "The Ministry of Marriage"  We'll be going over two chapters per week, so join us right here each Thursday.  If you're ready, jump in the backseat and take a ride with us... --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/t-anthony-bland/support
