Welcome to episode 22 of the Lovecars On The Grid podcast. Tiff Needell and Paul Woodman bring us the latest roundup following a busy weekend of motorsport events. We have Formula 1 and Formula 2, alongside the Porsche Supercup in Montecarlo. We've got Indycar and NASCAR in the US, plus bikes at Mugello, BTCC and Superbikes in the UK! Tiff joins us from Monte Carlo, having hosted some clients at the Formula 1 in Monaco! With some changing weather conditions in Monaco, the race was delayed. The FIA didn't seem to know what was going on, or when to start the race because of the weather! We didn't have a grid start because of a power failure, but local driver Charles LeClerc did everything he could in qualifying. Having qualified in pole position, the weather turned against him for the race, and after some poor strategy from Ferrari in the pits, finished in 4th place. Pierre Gasly was the first driver to move onto the intermediate tyres as the track began to dry out. Others drivers then followed. There was controversy as Max Verstappen crossed the pit line when overtaking. The rule dictates that the driver should've been penalised for doing so, but the FIA ruled against any penalty on this. Later on in the race, Haas driver Mick Schmuacher had a massive shunt by the swimming pool section. Cutting his car in half! What about Daniel Ricciardo? His poor performance continued in Monaco, while his team mate Lando Norris continues to do well at McLaren. Is it time for Ricciardo to leave the sport? Sergio Perez brought home the win for Red Bull, being the first Mexican to win the Monaco Grand Prix. Followed by the Ferrari of Carlos Sainz in 2nd, and Max Verstappen in 3rd. In the Porsche Supercup, British driver Harry King did well, taking 2nd place, but receiving a 3 place grid penalty. In Formula 2, Felipe Drugovich won, following the reverse grid race, having qualified in 10th place. Over in the USA, it was the Indy500. Ex Formula driver, Marcus Ericsson managed to win, with lots of crashes, including fellow ex-Formula 1 driver Romain Grosjean. Pat O'Ward came through in second place in his McLaren. Remaining in America, NASCAR were racing at the Charlotte 600. The longest race on the NASCAR calendar, with drivers racing 600 miles. Like in Indycar, there were lots of crashes, with Chris Beauchamp rolling 5 times! Denny Hamlin won the Charlotte 600 in his Toyota. Coming back to Europe, the Moto GP was in Mugello. Italian rider, Francesco Bagnaia won on the bikes, with Somkiat Chantra winning his first race in Moto2. Back home in the UK, the British Touring Cars Championship were racing at Tiff's home track at Thruxton. Josh Cooke dominated the first two races from pole. The reverse grid race win went to Adam Morgan. In British GT, it was a win for McLaren with Morgan Tillbrook and Marcus Clutton in the GT3 race. The GT4 race win went to Marco Signoretti and Matt Cowley in the Ford Mustang GT4 at Donington Park. Next weekend, we have the Moto GP in Barcelona. The WRC is in Italy, whilst Indycar and IMSA Sports Cars go to Detroit. Formula E is in Jakarta, and there's NASCAR at the Gateway Motorsports Park in Illinois.

"Today's Honda IndyCar Report celebrates Honda's 2018 INDYCAR Manufacturer's Championship. This year, Honda power has been the choice of race winners and champions as Honda clinched the 2018 INDYCAR Manufacturer's Cup Championship with two races remaining in the season. Their lead in the constructor's title was so large, Honda clinched the title, simply by having its cars start the August 25 Bommarito Automotive Group 500 at Gateway Motorsports Park. Once again, all of us at RACEDAY want to congratulate Honda and its teams for winning the 2018 INDYCAR Manfacturer's Championship."Our next guest is the man behind that effort.
