We explain why serious buyers are competing over a shortage of top-tier stock. Market Manipulation Exposed: Henry and Danny explain how and why certain sectors of the marketplace at large are facing artificial manipulation right now, and how savvy enthusiasts can spot it. The Flight to the Vintage: Why there is a massive, accelerating appreciation for older cars. Buyers are moving away from digital complexity and heavily investing in analog, visceral driving experiences. Tyler Cook is a professional GT3 racing driver who has competed in some of the most grueling endurance races on the planet, the 24 Hours of Spa, the 24 Hours of Nürburgring, IMSA, and GT World Challenge Europe. He's also been living with type 1 diabetes since he was 11 years old. This episode gets into what it actually looks like to manage blood sugar in a fire suit, in a 130-degree cockpit, at 150 miles per hour, sometimes at 3 a.m. Tyler takes us back to his diagnosis in 2006 — an ICU stay, four IVs, and a very specific grief over the chocolate mousse at Epcot's France pavilion. From there, he walks us through the journey from go-karts in his dad's garage to GT3 race cars with 650 horsepower. Along the way, there was bullying in middle school over his diet, sneaking to the bathroom to give injections on dates, and a decision somewhere along the line to stop hiding his diabetes and start owning it. We get into the technical side, too: how OmniPod changed his race management strategy, why adrenaline sends his blood sugar climbing instead of crashing, what a 24-hour-race insulin plan actually looks like, and what it means to have a Gatorade button wired into your cockpit as an emergency low-blood-sugar protocol. Tyler also talks about the physical training side of racing — heart rate zone work, neck day (yes, neck day), and why a GT3 driver can be pressing 1,200 pounds of brake force per pedal. The episode wraps with something that's been sitting with both Rob and Tyler: the idea of trusting the process. For Tyler, the lesson comes through racing — you can't skip steps from spec Miata to GT3. For people with T1D, it's the same. Wherever you are in your management journey, that's where you are — and it's going to get better if you just keep going. Dr. Brian Harris built five dental practices, filled his garage with a Lamborghini, a Ferrari, a GT3, and a G-Wagon, and still wasn't any happier than when he had one office. So he did what almost no one does: he sold the practices back to his associates, went back to one location, and doubled down on the craft he actually loves. In this episode, Peter, Craig, Ian, and Brian unpack the real story behind the highlight reel. Why ego drives expansion more than strategy. Why financial success doesn't automatically create fulfillment. Why younger dentists need to rev the RPMs before they chase lifestyle dentistry. And why the ability to walk away from something you built might be the most underrated skill in the profession. Brian also shares what he's learned from nearly a decade running his own mastermind, building Smile Virtual, and doing $400K a month in production as a solo cosmetic dentist. His core message to every dentist listening: connection before conversion. Stop trying to close people. Start organizing your practice and your life around what actually makes you excited to show up. DESCRIPTION The Bulletproof Dental Podcast Episode: 437 HOSTS: Dr. Peter Boulden, Dr. Craig Spodak, and Ian de Jongh Special Guest: Dr. Brian Harris In this episode, Peter Boulden, Craig Spodak, and Ian de Jongh sit down with Dr. Brian Harris, cosmetic dentist, founder of Smile Virtual, and headliner at the 2026 Bulletproof Summit in Scottsdale. Brian shares the unfiltered story of scaling to five practices, realizing he was making less money and carrying more stress, and making the unconventional decision to go back to one office and focus on what he loves. If you've ever wondered whether more locations, more revenue, or more stuff will actually make you happier, this episode is a brutally honest look at what happens when you get everything you thought you wanted and have to recalibrate. TAKEAWAYS - Building multiple locations without the right leadership layer can leave you earning less than you did with one - Ego and approval addiction are often the real drivers behind expansion decisions - The grind phase early in your career is necessary and shouldn't be skipped - Knowing when to take the cul-de-sac back out is just as important as perseverance - Material success (cars, money, status) does not reliably increase happiness - Organizing your practice around what excites you creates better outcomes than chasing what others say you should do - Connection before conversion is the key to case acceptance and long-term practice success - Social media content works best when it's about your patients, not about you - Repetition through tools like Smile Virtual builds consultation skills that translate to real-life case acceptance - Being out of balance isn't a failure if you recognize it and course correct CHAPTERS 00:00 Opening Banter and Introductions 01:09 What Should the World of Dentistry Be Like 02:53 What Would You Tell Your Younger Self 04:29 The Case Against Lifestyle Dentistry Too Early 06:08 The Dip, the Cul-de-Sac, and Knowing When to Walk Away 07:15 What Are You Most Proud Of 09:15 Going from One Office to Five and Back Again 11:25 The Counter Narrative to Build Build Build 13:51 It Was Ego 15:17 A Garage Full of Supercars and the Same Level of Happiness 17:12 The Trap of Chasing Financial Success 18:16 Finding What You Actually Love About Dentistry 21:10 The Value of Loving Your Craft 23:51 The Strivers Curse and Being Out of Balance 26:10 Acknowledging When You're Out of Balance 28:13 Approval Addiction and Learning to Say No 30:20 People Pleasing Beyond the Operatory 32:27 Building a Personal Brand That Serves Patients 35:07 Content Strategy and Making It About Others 37:06 The Elite Mastermind and Finding Your Tribe 41:56 The Danger of Wrong-Fit Groups and Outside Influencers 44:36 Authenticity Over Sales Tactics 46:09 How Smile Virtual Builds Real Consultation Skills 49:46 Brian's Message to Every Dentist Listening 53:18 The Spirit of Service and Why It Wins 55:27 Brian's Megaphone Moment 59:09 Closing and Summit Details REFERENCES - Bulletproof Summit 2026 - https://bulletproofsummit.com/ - Bulletproof Mastermind - https://bulletproofmastermind.com/ - Smile Virtual - https://smilevirtual.com/

WHAT ARE THE OTHER F1 DRIVERS DOING ON THEIR DAYS OFF? WILL MAX BE MOTIVATED TO RACE AT LE MANS? AND…FERNANDO SAYS…I WANT TO KEEP RACING UNTIL MY SON CAN SEE ME IN THE F1 PADOCK!! THIS WEEK'S NASIR HAMEED CORNER WE HAVE: YANNICK DALMAS FOUR TIME LE MANS WINNER…CARLOS SAINZ SR…AND INDY 500 WINNER THE LATE GIL DE FERRAN!! Max Verstappen and team dominate 24h Nürburgring until final hours, as Red Bull Team ABT makes a spectacular comeback for 2nd place! Max Verstappen produced a standout debut performance at the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring, in command of the race for the majority of its 24 hours before Mercedes-AMG Team Verstappen Racing were forced out of the lead with just over three hours remaining following a driveshaft failure on the #3 Mercedes-AMG GT3. The four-time F1 world champion, sharing the car with Dani Juncadella, Lucas Auer and Jules Gounon, had delivered spells of excellent driving across both day and night in his first 24-hour race, a performance that further underlined his ability to adapt seamlessly across different disciplines of motorsport. With Mercedes-AMG Team Verstappen Racing forced to retire, the sister #80 Mercedes inherited the lead to take overall victory, with the #84 Red Bull Team ABT Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2 classified second after a recovery drive from a lap-one puncture. A record 352,000 spectators attended the 24h Nürburgring weekend for Verstappen's debut appearance, a surge many are calling the "Verstappen effect". The charge began on the opening lap, when Juncadella moved up the order from P4 as the pole-sitting Red Bull Team ABT #84 suffered a puncture. Verstappen took over for his maiden Nordschleife race stint with the #3 in P3, and a brief early scare onto the grass did little to slow him. Settling into rhythm, he stormed through the order with a string of thrilling overtakes to take the lead inside his very first stint. From there the #3 settled into a sustained battle at the front, with the team's four-driver rotation slotting into the rhythm of the race. After Verstappen's opening double stint, Gounon took the car on for his run before Auer reclaimed the lead with a strong spell of his own. Juncadella then took the wheel into the small hours, going lap-for-lap with the chasing #80 as the two factory Mercedes cars opened up a commanding gap over the rest of the field, the two rarely separated by more than 20 seconds across the full race distance. Verstappen was at the centre of the action across the overnight hours. The Dutchman pulled nearly half a minute clear of the sister car on his way to a string of standout moments, including a 270 km/h side-by-side battle on the Döttinger Höhe that saw the #80 run onto the wet grass before recovering, and a patient overtake to put the #3 back into the lead after more than 20 minutes of pursuit. The 24h Nürburgring is widely regarded as one of the most punishing events in motorsport, and across the race weekend a sizeable share of the 161-strong field were caught out by some combination of mechanical issues, crashes and the Nordschleife's notoriously changeable conditions. By the time the chequered flag fell, only 18 of the 41 GT3 cars that had started the race were still running. Heading into the final four hours, Verstappen had stretched the lead back out to 33 seconds before handing over to Juncadella on his in-lap. The issue struck shortly after, just three laps into the Spaniard's stint. An initial ABS warning escalated into vibrations from the rear right corner, and the car limped back to the garage where mechanics diagnosed a broken driveshaft and significant rear axle damage. With repair time running to nearly an hour, victory was no longer possible, but the team committed to rebuilding the car so it could rejoin the race for the closing laps. "We spoke with Max and the other three drivers, and everybody is so disappointed," said Mercedes-AMG manager Stefan Wendl. "But we said let's send this beautiful car out again for the last two or three laps and present it to the fans who have cheered for 20 hours and tried to bring us to victory." Juncadella, who was behind the wheel when the issue struck, took the disappointment in his stride: "It's obviously very heartbreaking, but motorsport is like that sometimes. There are many things you cannot control. The mechanical aspect in motorsport can sometimes be very cruel, and it was with us this time. Unfortunately, the race was three hours too long for us, and we couldn't make it to the end. Nevertheless, we have to be proud of everything that has been done. The team was incredible with the calls they did in the race. Max had a lot of fun; we could all see that. Maybe now there's a reason to come back." Driving alongside Verstappen for the first time, Lucas Auer reflected on the team dynamic: "Last time we drove together was against each other, and it's definitely better to have him as a teammate because he is just a machine. He's a lot of fun, a hard worker and has amazing speed." The sister #80 Mercedes of Team RAVENOL (Maro Engel, Luca Stolz, Fabian Schiller and Maxime Martin) went on to take Mercedes-AMG's first 24h Nürburgring victory in a decade, having recovered from a Top Qualifying crash that had left them starting in 25th place. Red Bull Team ABT held on to second despite a late penalty for a Code 60 infringement, finishing 16 seconds clear of the third-placed Walkenhorst Aston Martin. Red Bull Team ABT's Luca Engstler, who shared driving duties in the #84 with Mirko Bortolotti and Patric Niederhauser, could scarcely believe the team had fought back to second after a puncture dropped them to 14th: "It was an incredible week. We had a very good qualifying, starting front row, and then we had a horrible start, got taken out, and we had the puncture, and we were two and a half minutes down. We dropped back to about nine minutes behind the leader. But I never gave up, and in the end, we're here, and that's just insane." Race engineer Leon Wippersteg, fresh from delivering Lamborghini's first Nürburgring front-row lockout in qualifying, credited the wider team effort that delivered second place: "It was one year of preparation to come here and to perform. All the drivers, engineers, mechanics, all the partners, everything has to fit together to be able to perform. We had the package, and I would say we're one of the quickest manufacturers out there. I think we managed well, and I'm very proud."

Ruckus Debrief Ruckus is in the rearview and the roads delivered. Cold weather, beautiful scenery, and rock chips that serve as a reminder you actually drove the thing. This is what it's for. No complaints from anyone in the crew — the kind of event you start planning to return to before you've even unpacked. The Headlines: Porsche Jobs, Nurburgring, and Luft Atlanta Porsche is cutting 500 jobs tied to ongoing revenue pressure and nobody here is happy about it. We never like to see people lose their jobs — full stop. On the racing side, the 24 Hours of the Nurburgring is right around the corner, which means a lot of sleepless nights ahead for the right reasons. And for the enthusiast crowd, Luft is headed to Atlanta this October. Last year it was North Carolina, so the southeast is getting some real love on the calendar right now. Vanthoor to McLaren — And What Porsche Isn't Saying Laurens Vanthoor is joining McLaren's hypercar program on loan from Porsche for 2027. No official announcement about what this means for Porsche's factory team presence, but the crew has seen this movie before. When Porsche starts farming out factory drivers and running every livery they can on the factory car, it's usually a preview of an exit — the same pattern played out before they stepped back from the RSR program. Nothing confirmed, but the read here is that Porsche is pulling back from that factory hypercar effort whether they've said so or not. 997 GT3s Are Gone — And the Price Is Whatever the Seller Wants The 997 GT3 market has reached a point that only a handful of models ever hit: the cars aren't listed because the owners aren't selling. When they do transact, it's a phone call, not a listing. Word of mouth, private deals, specialty dealers with one car every few months. A 997.1 GT3 with a minor Carfax note and 60,000 miles is moving at $175,000, and the crew doesn't think that's anywhere near the ceiling. The reason this happens isn't complicated — as more people enter the Porsche world and chase a real driving experience, demand for the cars that actually deliver it concentrates. Supply doesn't move. Price does. The only honest answer a seller can give a buyer right now is: find me another one. Thank you for the support — it genuinely means everything. Comment on the show?..send me a text! This week on The Lone Road iRacing Podcast, Guy Robertson dives into the features and systems many iRacers feel are still missing from the sim.Why don't official series use more true night racing? Should rookie series include rain racing from day one? Why doesn't gravel feel more punishing in wet conditions? Would a rookie mentor programme improve racecraft and reduce chaos?Plus this week's iRacing Agony Uncle comes from returning listener Steve, who asks a brilliant question about fuel strategy, tyre choices, GT3 sprint pitstops and how to start learning endurance racing properly without becoming overwhelmed. This episode explores:
Three quick upgrades, one smoother ride. In this episode, we take a look at a trio of official Segway accessories designed to make eKickScooter life a little less stressful. From the 48V External Battery that can dramatically extend range on compatible MAX G3, F3, and GT3 models, to a simple rear-view mirror that adds extra confidence in traffic, and a fast charger that cuts down downtime between rides, these are the kinds of add-ons that quietly improve the everyday commuting experience. Less range anxiety, fewer awkward shoulder checks, and more time actually riding. Not exactly glamorous, but neither is pushing a dead scooter home. With the FIA announcing significant changes to the F1 technical regulations 24 hours before this livestream, much of the chat - and Peter's opening monologue - is given to how the cars - and drivers - may now look in Miami. In an action-packed show, Peter also takes us to the Sierra Morena mountain range in South Spain, scene of last weekend's opening round of the European Rally Championship; and we meet a very talented young driver who has just graduated into Max Verstappen's favourite race category - GT3. Today's episode will not be a surprise to anyone who follows the automotive news cycle - because of course we're talking about the 911 GT3 S/C! In true Carmudgeon-form, Jason and Derek pull apart the blasphemous, recently announced Porsche GT car and discuss whether it's worth the hate, or better to hate on the haters. === Visit http://JasonSentMe.com to get a Hagerty Guaranteed Value (TM) collector-car insurance quote! === Before this - Jason gives an update on his recent battles with finishing his 1996 Volkswagen Cabrio VR6 swap (Mk3), rooted largely from OBD-II getting in the way of the car passing California smog testing. But really - what is OBD-II, why does it matter, and why can it make engine swaps a total nightmare? Derek and Jason discuss (and moan upon) the variables, including how to do drive cycles, set monitors, and stay sane in the process. To add fuel to the fire, Jason discusses the Cabrio's latest clutch slave mishap that almost left him stranded before a rally with friends. And putting a nail in the tire of Derek's 964 Porsche 911. On the subject of 911s - and cabriolets - Derek then explores the origins of disdain on the new GT3 S/C. Interestingly - Porsche is not the first brand to go about taking the roof off a track-focused road car variant - citing the rather cherished existence of the Ferrari F430 Scuderia Spyder 16M, the 599 Speciale Aperta, and the 458 Speciale Aperta. Not to mention - if Porsche is making a convertible GT3, could they also bring back a Speedster too? Time and speculation will tell - but not without Carmudgeonation... Tune in for more! The GT3 S/C Hot off the press, literally revealed yesterday, Porsche unveiled the 911 GT3 S/C, and we had a lot to say. Let's start with what it actually is, because the name does some heavy lifting. S/C stands for Sport Cabriolet, though Porsche being Porsche, they let you sit with that for a second before confirming it. The badge itself is a callback to the 911 SC from the late 1970s, where SC meant Super Carrera, a car that basically defined what the usable everyday 911 looked like before the GT program existed. Using it here is either a brilliant wink at the obsessives in the room or the kind of marketing move that makes you think someone in Zuffenhausen has been deep on Rennlist. Either way, it works. So what did they actually build? Porsche took the lightweight bones of the 911 S/T and dropped in the naturally aspirated 4.0 liter flat six from the GT3. 510 horsepower, 9,000 rpm. And the result is the first ever open top GT3 in production history. Not a limited run. Not 1,948 units. You can actually order one, which is either the most exciting or most controversial sentence in this episode depending on who you ask. The Weight Question This is where the internet was ready to roast Porsche, and they came prepared. The GT3 S/C weighs 1,497 kilograms. That is just 18 kilos more than the standard GT3 coupe and about 30 kilos more than the 991 generation Speedster. For a convertible that number is almost offensive in how good it is. Carbon fiber on the hood, fenders, doors, and rear anti roll bar. Magnesium wheels standard. Carbon ceramics. They even swapped the battery to a lithium ion unit to kill another four kilos. At some point it stops being engineering and starts being a personality disorder, but we respect it. The Roof Here is the thing that split the room a little. This is the first GT3 with a fully automated power top. Twelve seconds. Electric. Works at up to 37 miles per hour. The purists who are already composing their forum posts about how the Speedster had a manual tonneau cover and that was the whole point, we hear you. But if you have ever been caught in a South Florida rain shower at a Cars and Coffee in your suede seat 911, you understand why this exists. Porsche also threw in a heated rigid glass rear window and an integrated electric wind deflector. This is not a race car you bought to trailer. It is a road car they actually want you to live with. Manual Only. No Debate. No PDK option. Not available. The GT3 S/C comes exclusively with the short ratio six speed manual and that is the entire spec sheet on transmission. At $273,000, Porsche is making a pretty clear statement about who this car is for. The chassis is tuned closer to the GT3 Touring than the full winged GT3, which makes sense because you are not taking this to a track day, you are on a mountain road with the roof down and the flat six screaming toward nine thousand rpm with nothing between you and that sound. That is the pitch. That is the whole pitch, and it is a genuinely good one. What It Actually Means The S/C picks up the spiritual thread the Speedster left, but Porsche is clear it is not a direct successor. The Speedster was a numbered tribute. This is a catalog car, which is either democratizing access to the GT3 experience or softening what made the Speedster special. We landed somewhere in the middle on that one. What is not debatable is that the cylinder heads are revised from the previous generation GT3 and the camshafts are the sharper units from the GT3 RS, so the engine is genuinely better. You get more top end character. You get it with the sky above you. At this price, with this spec, Porsche is not asking you to compromise. They are asking you to decide what kind of driver you are. Outro That is the GT3 S/C. Drop your thoughts in the comments, are you buying it, are you waiting for the inevitable RS version, or are you holding out for something that says Mezger on the cam covers. Find us at pcartalk.com for events, support the show at Patreon.com/pcartalk, and follow along at @pcartalk. Big love to the Kimchi Crew, Steve, Leslie, Chris, Ken, Aaron, Matthew, Sean, and Nik. Has Porsche lost the magic, or is the future faster and more focused than ever? This week, from an MOT station at VAS Works, Lee and Andy sit down to dissect a month of intensive driving across six of the most important models in the Porsche back catalogue and current lineup. We start with the "Holy Grail" of the 90s: the 964 Carrera RS. How does its seam-welded chassis and manual rack compare to the technological powerhouse that is the new 992.2 GTS T-Hybrid? We also dive deep into the GT3 lineage, revisiting the 996.2 GT3 — the car that many believe represents the peak of the water-cooled Mezger era. Then, we turn our attention to the mid-engine masters. With the 718 Cayman GTS 4.0 and the 718 GT4 both in the mix, we ask if the newer cars have finally eclipsed the legendary 987.2 Cayman R. Is the R's hydraulic steering still the benchmark for feel, or does the GT4's chassis precision win the day?In this episode, we discuss:The 964 RS vs. 992.2 GTS: A 35-year gap bridged. Does the T-Hybrid system deliver the same visceral thrill as a blueprinted air-cooled flat-six?GT3 Purity: Why the 996.2 GT3 is still the "sweet spot" for many purists in 2026.Mid-Engine Battle: 718 GT4 vs. Cayman R. We settle the debate on which mid-engine Porsche offers the most "Driven Not Hidden" rewards. The GTS 4.0 Factor: Why the 718 GTS 4.0 might actually be the best all-rounder Porsche has ever built.Future Values: Which of these six icons is the smartest place for your money right now?The 9WERKS Testing Lineup:Porsche 964 Carrera RS: The analog benchmark.Porsche 996.2 GT3: The Mezger-powered icon.Porsche 992.2 GTS: The T-Hybrid future.Porsche 718 GT4: Track-bred precision.Porsche 718 Cayman GTS 4.0: The daily-driver hero.Porsche 987.2 Cayman R: The lightweight legend.Find your dream Porsche on the 9WERKS Marketplace: 9werks.co.uk/marketplace Thanks to our friends heritagepartscentre.com for sponsoring this podcast, get up to 10% off your basket by entering the code ‘9WERKS10' at the checkout on heritagepartscentre.com‘9WERKS Radio' @9werks.radio is your dedicated Porsche and car podcast, taking you closer than ever to the world's finest sports cars and the culture and history behind them. The show is brought to you by 9werks.co.uk, the innovative online platform for Porsche enthusiasts. Is this the purest modern Porsche ever produced? In this episode of 9WERKS Radio, we are joined by a "quad-squad" of 987.2 Cayman R owners from the Driven Not Hidden Collective to find out why this stripped-out special has become the definitive modern classic of 2026.While the 981 and 718 GT4s might have more power and "mini-supercar" looks, the Cayman R is the final stand for hydraulic steering and a sub-1,300kg curb weight. Our four guests break down the reality of owning the "R" – from the iconic pull-strap doors and carbon bucket seats to the sublime balance that only 330hp in a mid-engine chassis can provide. In this Cayman R Owners Roundtable:Steering Perfection: Why the transition to electric steering in later models makes the 987.2 R feel "alive" in comparison. The Weight Debate: Does saving 55kg over a Cayman S really transform the car on a twisty UK B-road?Spec Warfare: Manual vs. PDK, and why the Carbon Buckets (P03) and Sports Exhaust (PSE) are the non-negotiable "must-haves" for 2026 buyers.Real-World Values: With Cayman R prices solidifying, is this the last "safe" place to put your money in the Porsche world?Living with the R: Four owners share their stories of track days, European tours, and why they haven't "traded up" to a GT4.The Cayman R "Holy Grail" ChecklistIf you're hunting for one of these in 2026, our owners agree these are the specs that define the experience:Transmission: 6-speed manual for the purists, though the 7-speed PDK is surprisingly sharp.Interior: Carbon fiber bucket seats are essential for both the feel and the future resale value.Air conditioning: Yes, it added weight, but it gets hot in there without it!Wheels: The ultra-lightweight 19" Spyder alloys are a must for that unsprung weight advantage.Find your dream Porsche on the 9WERKS Marketplace: 9werks.co.uk/marketplace Thanks to our friends heritagepartscentre.com for sponsoring this podcast, get up to 10% off your basket by entering the code ‘9WERKS10' at the checkout on heritagepartscentre.com‘9WERKS Radio' @9werks.radio is your dedicated Porsche and car podcast, taking you closer than ever to the world's finest sports cars and the culture and history behind them. The show is brought to you by 9werks.co.uk, the innovative online platform for Porsche enthusiasts. What is it really like to live with a V10-powered analog masterpiece for two decades? In this episode of 9WERKS Radio, we are joined by a man who needs little introduction to the Porsche community: Mark Sumpter, founder of Paragon Porsche and a veteran of the British GT Championship. While most Carrera GTs are treated as static financial instruments, tucked away in climate-controlled bubbles with delivery mileage, Mark's story is the antithesis of the "investment" mindset. He has owned his silver CGT for over 20 years, experiencing everything from the initial excitement of its 2004 launch to the long-term realities of maintaining a car with a Le Mans-derived heart. In this episode, we dive into:The Acquisition: How Mark secured his car and why he chose it over the 911 GT2s of the era.The Driving Experience: Mark describes the physical demands of the ceramic twin-plate clutch and why the 5.7L V10 remains the greatest engine ever put in a road car.Long-Term Maintenance: The reality of the "Major Service." We discuss the technical challenges of the carbon-fiber monocoque and what it takes to keep a Carrera GT in peak health after 20 years. The Market Evolution: Mark shares his perspective as a specialist dealer on how the CGT went from a "difficult sell" to a multi-million pound icon.Driven Not Hidden: Why Mark continues to take his car on European road trips and why he believes these cars "die" if they aren't driven.Technical Deep Dive: The CGT ComponentsOwning a Carrera GT is a commitment to precision engineering. During the interview, Mark touches on the specific components that define the ownership experience:The PCCC (Porsche Ceramic Composite Clutch): Why its reputation for being "difficult" is misunderstood, and how to drive it properly to ensure longevity. The Pushrod Suspension: How the racing-derived setup handles real-world B-roads.Service Requirements: From engine-out valve clearances to the specialized magnesium wheels.Find your dream Porsche on the 9WERKS Marketplace: 9werks.co.uk/marketplace Thanks to our friends heritagepartscentre.com for sponsoring this podcast, get up to 10% off your basket by entering the code ‘9WERKS10' at the checkout on heritagepartscentre.com‘9WERKS Radio' @9werks.radio is your dedicated Porsche and car podcast, taking you closer than ever to the world's finest sports cars and the culture and history behind them. The show is brought to you by 9werks.co.uk, the innovative online platform for Porsche enthusiasts. Has Porsche design reached a turning point? In this special collaboration episode, 9WERKS Radio joins forces with James and Andy from the Curb & Canyon podcast to dissect the past, present, and high-stakes future of Porsche aesthetics. With the legendary Michael Mauer stepping down after two decades and former McLaren/Bentley designer Tobias Sühlmann taking the reins as the new Head of Style, we ask the big question: where does Porsche design go from here? The team dives deep into the "Highs and Lows" of the Mauer era—from the redemption of the Panamera and the futuristic Taycan to the challenges of keeping the 911 icon fresh across the 997, 991, and 992 generations. We also tackle the "elephant in the room": the controversial transition to an all-electric lineup and how Sühlmann's background in hypercars (like the McLaren Solus GT and Bentley Batur) will influence the next generation of Stuttgart's sports cars.In this 9WERKS x Curb & Canyon Special:The Changing of the Guard: What Tobias Sühlmann's appointment means for the future of the 911.Mauer's Legacy: Ranking the greatest (and most controversial) designs from 2004–2026.The SUV vs. Sports Car Debate: Can Porsche maintain its DNA as it prioritizes the Macan and Cayenne EV?Design "Highs & Lows": From the 918 Spyder masterpiece to the models that missed the mark. The "McLaren-isation" of Porsche: Discussing the influence of CEO Michael Leiters and the new design direction.Links & Community Follow Curb & Canyon: Search for "Curb & Canyon" on your favorite podcast app.Find your dream Porsche on the 9WERKS Marketplace: 9werks.co.uk/marketplace Thanks to our friends heritagepartscentre.com for sponsoring this podcast, get up to 10% off your basket by entering the code ‘9WERKS10' at the checkout on heritagepartscentre.com‘9WERKS Radio' @9werks.radio is your dedicated Porsche and car podcast, taking you closer than ever to the world's finest sports cars and the culture and history behind them. The show is brought to you by 9werks.co.uk, the innovative online platform for Porsche enthusiasts. EV Cayman and Boxster Project on the Chopping Block Big news out of Stuttgart: Porsche has pulled the EV Cayman and Boxster from their configurator, and reports are surfacing that Porsche leadership held internal meetings to kill the project entirely. So is this a win or a loss? Our take: probably more win than loss. This was shaping up to be a failure to launch. The enthusiasm for an electric mid-engine Porsche was never really there from the core enthusiast base, and the market has been sending clear signals. Sometimes the best move is knowing when to walk away before you're too far in. The money lost hurts, but a forced launch that lands flat would've hurt the brand more. Magnus Walker Collection Heading to RM Sotheby's — No Reserve Magnus Walker is sending a significant portion of his collection to auction at RM Sotheby's, and the cars are listed with price estimates and—here's the key detail—no reserve. If you've spent any time in the auction world, you know how rare and how meaningful that is. It signals real commitment to sell. The cars we're watching most closely: the Minerva Blue 930 estimated at $175-200k, and the 996 GT2 at $125-150k—nearly 100k miles on it, but it's a GT2, and those don't come around often. Honorable mention to the 996 GT3 at $100-125k. Estimates feel fair across the board, but no reserve means the floor is the floor and the ceiling is whatever the room decides. Expect most of these to go higher, not lower. Fahren — Last Call, Spots Nearly Gone This is your final warning. Fahren spots are almost gone. If you're even remotely considering it, stop thinking and put your deposit in now to lock your spot. You can figure out the rest later. Don't be the person who waited too long and missed it. Head to pcartalk.com. Singer Drops a Wide Body Convertible Singer has built a wide body convertible, and this is a bigger deal than people may realize. Factory wide body drop tops were made in period—just not many of them. Singer's version brings all their engineering refinement along for the ride, including a 4.0L naturally aspirated motor making 420 horsepower. For the person who wanted a wide body convertible and has the means to make it happen, Singer just gave them the answer. The heritage is real, and the execution is Singer. Hard to argue with that. MotorTrend's Top 5 911s One Journalist Has Ever Driven MotorTrend published a list of the top 5 911s one of their journalists has ever driven: the first-gen 930 3.0 pre-intercooler Turbo, the 993, a 996 generation car, the 991.2, and the 992 GT3 RS. Opinion-based, sure, but it's a great conversation starter. The 930 pre-intercooler making the list says a lot—there's something about that raw, unfiltered experience that sticks with people.
