Franco Colapinto has closed the gap to Pierre Gasly just when Alpine faces its toughest season yet.Climb the ladder with me on Patreon: https://patreon.com/lawvsWhy is Franco Colapinto turning heads in Formula 1 during a season where Alpine is struggling more than ever? Easy! With big changes shaking up the team, a drop in performance and uncertainty at every level, Colapinto's promotion to the race seat couldn't have come at a harder moment. Still, his performances have quietly outshone Jack Doohan's, with Franco consistently finishing closer to teammate Pierre Gasly despite having far less experience in the car and as Alpine fall further away from their rivals. Fans might be on the fence, but the stats show that Colapinto's rapid adaptation, clean record and cool head are exactly what Alpine needs right now.I have stats to back me up though! With Alpine's future up in the air and sponsors watching closely, every race matters and Colapinto is meeting every challenge so far. As management and driver line-ups shift, could Franco become a long-term asset for Alpine and bring fresh interest from Argentina just when the team needs it most? #f1 #francocolapinto #formula1 #pierregasly #formulaone #f12025 #f1news #f1latest #f1updates #f1update #f1drama #colapinto #gasly #flaviobriatore #alpinef1 #alpinef1team #alpine Franco Colapinto Proves Alpine Made the Right Callhttps://youtu.be/iKvoAZlEAdo

Another wild F1 weekend in which Spain shook up the championship...but NOT in the way you thought it would. Climb the ladder with me over on Patreon: https://patreon.com/lawvsMcLaren extended their dominance with a commanding one-two finish, as Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris pulled further ahead in the championship battle while Verstappen's title hopes took a big hit after late-race chaos and a costly penalty. Sauber delivered one of the feelgood stories of the weekend, jumping up the standings thanks to a vintage drive from Nico Hulkenberg and some smart strategy calls, lifting Sauber off the bottom for the first time in over a year! Mercedes showed revived pace as George Russell stormed back into the top five and Charles Leclerc's relentless charge helped Ferrari leap to second in the team standings and back-to-back podiums. Breakout rookie performances from Isack Hadjar and steady points from Pierre Gasly kept things interesting in the midfield, while Fernando Alonso brought the Spanish crowd to their feet by scoring his first points of the season in front of his home fans. Not every team left Barcelona happy. Lance Stroll's absence sparked fresh rumors about his future and Williams unraveled with penalties and damaged front wings, even more than they had expected. No love for Carlos Sainz at his home race. Haas struggled for pace and strategy, while Yuki Tsunoda's tough luck continued despite flashes of speed. Don't miss this full breakdown of every winner and loser from the Spanish Grand Prix.

Did the new technical directive really make headway for anyone in this race? And should the safety car restart have happened earlier? (Pardon the lack of audio punch in Kunal's track!) Before all else, did Max Verstappen deliberately ram into George Russell as the 2025 Spanish Grand Prix came to a conclusion? He received a 10-second time penalty for "causing a collision", but was Verstappen angry at Russell's driving or Red Bull's decision to put him on the hard tyre at the Safety Car restart, or both? But maybe the fans were entertained because they voted for Max Verstappen as the "Driver of the Day" for the 2025 Spanish Grand Prix. At the front, McLaren's Oscar Piastri dominated the race proceedings to score his 5th F1 win of the season. Lando Norris had yet another messy start, while Charles Leclerc ran a different tyre strategy to score yet another podium. Lots of movements in the Drivers' and Constructors' championship after the 2025 Spanish Grand Prix. - Fernando Alonso scored points at home - his first points of the season! He's the 18th driver to score points in 2025. - Isack Hadjar jumps Esteban Oon for 9th- Nico Hulkenberg jumps to 11th in the WDC, ahead of Carlos Sainz. - Pierre Gasly jumps Yuki Tsunoda for 14th. - Ferrari jumps to 2nd place in the Constructors' Championship - 165 points- Mercedes is down to 3rd (159 points), Red Bull Racing are 4th (144 points) - Racing Bulls jumps Haas for 7th place (28 points).- Sauber is up to 8th - up 2 places! It was a race of some of the nicest overtakes this season, and controversial ones too. Pierre Gasly's F1 future may be out of his hands as Alpine faces a pivotal crossroads under Flavio Briatore's no-nonsense leadership.Climb the ladder with me on Patreon: https://patreon.com/lawvsAlpine's 2026 ambitions are higher than ever, their boss insisting wins are a guarantee...and mounting pressure now may mean Gasly is vulnerable in a rapidly changing team. Episode Show Notes: May 22, 2025 Welcome to the Scuderia F1 Podcast! Tonight we're recapping the 2025 Monaco Grand Prix weekend was a thrilling and controversial affair, ignited by Lando Norris's sensational pole position, narrowly edging out Charles Leclerc. However, the grid was dramatically reshaped by multiple penalties, notably Lewis Hamilton's three-place drop due to an "inaccurate radio message" leading to impeding Max Verstappen, and Lance Stroll's cumulative demotion to the very back. Race day saw Norris convert his pole into a commanding victory, marking his first Monaco win and second of the season, contributing to a fantastic double podium for McLaren. The drama continued with early incidents like Gabriel Bortoleto hitting the wall and Pierre Gasly colliding with Yuki Tsunoda, highlighting Monaco's unforgiving nature. Adding to the controversy, George Russell received a drive-through penalty for skipping the Nouvelle Chicane and controversially ignoring team advice to return the position, claiming Alex Albon was driving "erratically". The new mandatory two-pit stop rule also sparked debate, with drivers like Carlos Sainz calling the race "manipulated" and Max Verstappen stating it "didn't do anything" for racing at the front, ultimately shifting chaos to strategic manipulation rather than on-track overtakes.

Pierre Gasly stunned the paddock, Esteban Ocon and rookie Oliver Bearman pulled off sensational comebacks, and Yuki Tsunoda fought his way into the points in a race that had everything. But not everyone came out ahead — Verstappen's weekend was riddled with problems, Carlos Sainz's race unraveled in painful fashion, and Aston Martin's slump shows no sign of slowing down. ‘I wish I could fast forward', says Pierre Gasly. Like all F1 drivers, Pierre is used to things happening quickly. He thinks Alpine will be fighting further forwards in a matter of months, and is impatient to get there. He knows how winning feels. He believes he can do it again. Gasly tells Tom Clarkson about the faith he has in Alpine and its leaders, Team Principal Oliver Oakes and Executive Advisor Flavio Briatore. His aim is to win a race this season, but he's looking further ahead to when F1's new rules may shake up the sport in 2026. Lando Norris was second and George Russell third. But the Saturday sprint race was all about Ferrari and Lewis Hamilton, who scored his first win for the Scuderia. But then it all turned to disaster in the main race when he was disqualified for wearing out his plank too much. Not to feel alone, teammate Charles Leclerc was also rubbed our for being underweight, as was Pierre Gasly in an Alpine. Anyway, Andrew, Bruce and Melinda pull the race apart. Contato: botequimgp@gmail.comWhatsapp: 47 99141 8270
Are Red Bull deliberately sabotaging Liam Lawson's career, rushing him to Max Verstappen's side too early? Is Racing Bulls not good enough to train up its future stars?Climb the ladder with me on Patreon: https://patreon.com/lawvsRed Bull Racing is known for its demanding approach, but have they rushed Liam Lawson into Formula 1 too quickly? Lawson's recent struggles have sparked debate within the F1 community, with significant challenges arising from questionable team strategies, internal pressure, and limited developmental support. Similarities are drawn with Pierre Gasly's 2019 experience, as Lawson finds himself navigating the intense expectations placed alongside superstar teammate Max Verstappen. With critical setbacks in Australia and China, many are wondering whether Red Bull's environment is hindering more than helping the young driver's promising career - all the while Yuki Tsunoda, the more obvious alternative, was overlooked. In this detailed breakdown, we'll question the reasoning behind Lawson's rapid promotion from the junior team Racing Bulls and discuss whether this decision has limited his growth potential. Furthermore, we discuss internal team politics and their impact on driver stability, highlighting past Red Bull drivers and how their careers were shaped by similar circumstances. Can Liam Lawson overcome the obstacles laid before him, or has Red Bull's ruthless strategy set him up to fail? The first race of the 2025 Formula 1 season had its fair share of drama and chaos, even before racing started! Yes, we had 4 rookies (5, if you count Alonso!), Carlos Sainz and eventually even title hopeful Oscar Piastri spin out on the wet track. Also, we had Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton lead Ferrari and call the team's race tyre strategy from the cockpit. And how can we forget - Papaya Rules kicking in as early as Race 1! Who'd have thought!? McLaren & Lando Norris won in dominant fashion - when the track was dry-ish, and when it was wet. Are these ominous signs for the season ahead? Oscar Piastri kept Norris honest, despite & won the local crowd's cheers for driving in forward...and in reverse modes. George Russell sneaked in an invisible podium for Mercedes, while Andrea Kimi Antonelli drove a sensational race on debut to finish 4th - while surviving the changing weather conditions & pulling off overtakes. Finally, 7 out of the 10 teams scored points in the 2025 Australian Grand Prix. After stellar performances in Qualifying, Alpine's Pierre Gasly and Racing Bulls' Yuki Tsunoda failed to score points in the Race due to their team's questionable tyre strategy. While technical issues held us from going LIVE on YouTube, we did switch strategies to come back with our reactions today. We'll surely bring upgrades to the next show! Until then, join Kunal Shah, Soumil Arora, and Sundaram Ramaswami aka @f1statsguru in conversation about what went down at Albert Park today for the 2025 Australian Grand Prix.
