In this episode of the Inherent Identity Podcast, I discuss the concept of 'focused forgetting' as a means to remember our true selves and live in the present. I'll share some personal anecdotes, including experiences with my six-year-old daughter, to help you see how identity labels and past experiences shape our reactions and perceptions. You'll learn some powerful insights from Gerald Jampolsky's book 'Love is Letting Go of Fear' By listening your learn the practice of forgiving and forgetting past actions to cultivate compassion and understanding in the present. This practice enables us to overcome fear, guilt, and shame, allowing us to remember our inherent identity as beings of love. I also touch on the significance of Christ's example of forgiveness and how seeing His presence in our past, present, and future can bring us peace. In episode 62, I'm going to talk about why your relationship with illness can actually be hindering your recovery. This is a concept that is part of my new program, MAP for Self-Healing. I call it Changing Your Relationship to Illness, and although the stress of chronic symptoms and health issues will be the subject of this podcast episode, the same principle applies to any difficulty you face. In this episode I will talk about my insights from working with clients as well as the work of others, including Byron Katie and Anita Moorjani. We'll discuss how your stance toward illness –either fighting it, fleeing in fear, or withdrawing and freezing– may be triggering the stress response and how advanced neural retraining may be helpful. In this episode I'll discuss: - The stress response (fight/flight/freeze) and how negative thoughts prevent recovery by inhibiting the restorative functions of the body. - Why the person with chronic illness can have hundreds of stress responses each day. - How most people's response to adversity and illness is fear and resistance. - Why fearful and fighting thoughts lead to desperation, frustration, helplessness and powerlessness. - A few guiding lights: Anita Moorjani, Gerald Jampolsky, MD. - Frank Bruni's book, The Beauty of Dusk and what it has to teach us about the power of a positive mindset. - The work of Byron Katie and her exercises for turning thoughts around. - How MAP sessions can be a powerful way to change patterns of emotional, mental and behavioral responses. - Why working with the mind is complementary to traditional medicine, functional, and alternative approaches. If you enjoyed this episode, don't miss episode 60: MAP for Emotional Causes of Illness where I discuss the biochemistry behind mind body medicine and the benefit of working with emotions to promote healing. Forgiveness is the key to self love and happiness. In our day to day we often find ourselves predicting and controlling rather than having peace of mind. We go from point A to point B and we actually have no idea how we got there because we are too flustered with what happened yesterday or what might happen tomorrow. True inner peace comes from letting go, being in the present moment, and realizing in practicing forgiveness you take nothing personal so you have no compulsion to react. In reality, when do people often decide to forgive? When they face death. There is no future without forgiveness.XX Shaunahttps://sculptedx3.co/Resources:  Book References: Love Is Letting Go Of Fear by Gerald Jampolsky, MDKettle&Fire Bone Broth 20% Off: https://glnk.io/48z9/sonographer-squatsTERP Nutrition: Get your daily and nightly CBD drops! Hi Miracle Voices Listeners, This episode is the audio from a webinar in 2020, "Q&A on Guidance: Asking and Listening" This episode features Judith Skutch Whitson, Tamara Morgan, and Dr. Bob Rosenthal. For those of you have not heard Dr. Bob Rosenthal who was co-president of The Foundation for Inner Peace with Tamara up until recently and he passed away on March 20th 2022. Bob was dedicated to A Course in Miracles and gifted teacher of forgiveness principles. Matt's Note: I have found two of Bob's books in particular very helpful on my forgiveness journey, they are: From Plagues to Miracles: The Transformational Journey of Exodus, From the Slavery of Ego to the Promised Land of Spirit https://www.amazon.com/Plagues-Miracles-Transformational-Journey-Promised-ebook/dp/B07B6VLJND From Never-Mind to Ever-Mind: Transforming the Self to Embrace Miracles https://www.amazon.com/Never-Mind-Ever-Mind-Transforming-Embrace-Miracles-ebook/dp/B07J5FP2K9 If you would like to leave a message on Dr. Bob's memorial page, you can do so here: https://acim.org/memorial-robert-rosenthal/ If you would like to make a gift to The Foundation for Inner Peace in memory of Bob, you can do so here: https://acim.org/donate/ Dear Course Community, Yesterday, at 3:00 pm on the spring solstice, many of us gathered worldwide at the Second Global Meeting of ACIM. We joined in a prayer that included: “In our deepening and widening circle, I ask that we bring to heart and mind, my lifelong friend and former co-president, “Dr. Bob,” who has devoted over 40 years of service to A Course in Miracles and the Foundation for Inner Peace. Dr. Bob wanted to physically be present but has been dealing with health issues that are bringing him into his own deepening journey of forgiveness and awakening. In this, I especially ask that we all send him gratitude for the magnificent job he has done. May we send him prayers of love so strongly that his heart will soar and join with us all in Spirit, with the Holy Spirit, in this group-shared Holy Instant. Let us take a moment now of silence together, as one, in LOVE.” Robert's wife, Emmanuelle, and I thank you profusely for the abundant love embedded in that powerful communal prayer. Shortly thereafter, Dr. Bob released his body and moved into the realm of Spirit. He is now the essence of the Foundation for Inner Peace that he worked so hard to serve. May he rest in this peace along with those who served before him: my recently departed mother, Judith Skutch Whitson, her beloved Course and life partner Colonel William Whitson, Drs. Helen Schucman, William Thetford, Kenneth Wapnick, Gerald Jampolsky and all the Course teachers and students who devoted their lives to the practice-until-perfection of A Course in Miracles. Thank you all for your love in our joined journey on this path. Our beloved Dr. Bob went out on the wings of our prayers and the waves of our love. Amen. With blessings, love, and eternal gratitude, Tam

[Warning: this episode contains an account of a violent attack.] It has long been known that forgiveness is the path to inner peace and happiness. And there are further, immense benefits from being able to let go of resentment and anger towards those who have wronged us: forgiveness has been shown to lead to remarkable physical healing from all sorts of long-term conditions. It was my huge privilege to sit down with someone who genuinely epitomizes the quality of forgiveness. Dr Nasser Kurdy is an orthopedic surgeon who, in 2017, was stabbed in the neck while entering the grounds of his local mosque. You'll hear how his act of his forgiveness towards his attacker has transformed his life and continues to energize him to this day. This is a deeply inspiring conversation that I think will leave you with a lasting sense of hope and optimism. Dr Kurdy shares his profound reflections on what happened to him in his new book: A Reply to Hate: Forgiving My Attacker. If you would like to find more inspiration to reach forgiveness in your own life, I also recommend this book: Forgiveness: The Greatest Healer of All by Gerald Jampolsky. SPOKEN WORD WITH ELECTRONICS #35: Mr Rogers' Rare Words From 1983 on Death and Childhood Illness Hi, everyone, welcome back to the show. This week is a tribute to Mr Rogers. I have one rare tape on Mr Rogers in my library of unusual records, and when I share this with people I present it as "a side of Mr Rogers you may have never heard." Most listeners agree: This is a very incredible album. Specifically, this is Fred Rogers translating the complexity of death and pain into helping parents deal with a huge fear: The death of their kids. He also relates similar comfort to kids themselves. And then you meet the children, who are all wonderful, happy, and seemingly more aware of the moment than many adults three times their age. I'm posting it this week because we need more compassion in the world, presently. This is what the 1983 cassette "Healing with Love" is all about, and its obscure placement in the Mr Rogers discography only makes it more interesting. This wasn't work for PBS. It was seemingly only intended for the patients and their parents, and copies of the tape were produced in small numbers. There is no way this topic would have made it onto his show (though Bruce Haack on Mr Rogers is a favorite in that category) This tape celebrates the word of Dr Gerald Jampolsky, who is a kindred spirit of Fred Rogers. You are introduced to Jampolsky, his group of patients, their parents, and then encounter some frightening moments with a parent grieving a dead child. Dr Jampolsky manages a phone hotline for terminally ill children and consoles parents, both those grieving a death or managing stress, and Jampolsky's love and care for everyone is to be admired. Hear the entire tape here. Of course, we had to make a tribute to all of this, and that can be found in Side A for this week, "Mr Roger's Metaphysical Phone Hotline" including some of the more intense Mr Rogers sentences I've ever heard. Here's one: "Do you consider death an enemy?" – Wild. Side B for this week continues our serial Charlie Pickle. This week introduces you to your first day's work at Company Statistics, where both you and Charlie work, and you're given some tips on helping everyone out with the coffee.

In this episode, Sanya and Darid sat down for an intimate conversation about fear. They dived deep in discussing about how people operate life through fear, how our past continue to influence our actions, and how we can restructure our thinking about fear to live a life filled with love. This discussion was inspired by a book by Gerald Jampolsky, Love is Letting Go of Fear.

In this episode I share my favorite quotes and discuss the book Love is Letting Go of Fear by Gerald Jampolsky.   There are basically two emotions- love and fear.  We are programmed for fear but always have the capacity of love. Approaching more of our life with love is how we get inner peace.  And that means continually letting go of fear.    RATE AND REVIEW THIS PODCAST HERE: screenshot and email for two entries for the $100 Amazon gift card drawing https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-unstoppable-body-and-minds-podcast/id1493360543 For a third entry, follow me on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/bodyandmindlifecoach/ Email me the screenshots showing your rating, review or follow-  Info@bodyandmindlifecoach.com   For more information, check out my website https://bodyandmindlifecoach.com   Or to schedule a free 60 min coaching session, click here,  https://calendly.com/thebetsyjensen/free-consult

Everyday Grace TODAY Let me suggest three ways to discover everyday grace.  1. The first is this. Trying to live one day of acceptance. In his book, Love is Letting Go of Fear, Dr. Gerald Jampolsky asks this question: "Have you ever given yourself the opportunity of going through just one day concentrating on totally accepting everyone and making no judgments?" He goes on to say, "Everything we think or say or do reacts on us like a boomerang. When we send out judgment in the form of criticism, fury or other attack thoughts, they come back to us. When we send our only love, it comes back to us." So I suggest we try that one day this week. Suspend all judgments, spend one day of acceptance and se how, today, this scripture will be fulfilled in our hearing.  2. Second, look of the opportunity in today, even if today is not quite what you had bargained for.  A graduate student had gotten his first job, a desk job, he felt (and probably correctly) that it was much beneath his talents and he complained to his friend that he didn't do pencil pushing. His friend was entirely unsympathetic. He just patted him on the back and said to him, "You know, the world is a better place because Michelangelo didn't say, I don't do ceilings." SO it is. You go through the Bible and Moses didn't say "I don't do rivers." Noah didn't say "I don't do arks." Ruth didn't say "I don't do mothers-in-law." David didn't say "I don't do giants." Paul didn't say "I don't do Gentiles. Mary Magdalene didn't say "I don't do feet." Jesus didn't say "I don't do crosses." Look for the opportunity today. Even in things you'd rather not do and in places you'd rather not be, today's grace awaits.  3. The third suggestions is this: at least one day, take time to put things in perspective.  A man driving to work one morning had a little fender bender occasion with a woman. They both stopped. The woman got out to survey the damage. She was absolutely distraught. It was her fault. She admitted it. And her car was a new car, less than two weeks out of the showroom. She dreaded going home to tell her husband. The man felt sorry for her, but , nevertheless, things had to be done. She had to get the license number, registration papers, and so on. She went back to her car and reached into the glove compartment to get the documents and one of the first papers to tumble our, written in her husbands distinctive hand where these words: "In case of accident, remember honey, it's you I love, not the car." He put things in perspective.  Perspective is the long view of today's grace.      A day of acceptance without judgment, a day of opportunity without complaint, and a day of perspective without fear. These three things make our scripture reading fulfilled in our hearing - TODAY.
