Episode #136: Unlocking Success In Business Join us today as Colleen Interview's Steve Ramona on Take the Leap. In this episode, we dive into the incredible world of doing business with a servant heart with the one and only Steve Romano. Here are three key takeaways from this inspiring conversation: 1. The Power of Connection: Steve emphasizes the importance of connecting with others, whether you're in the corporate world or an entrepreneur. He believes that connecting with people and showing genuine care can be one of the best things you can do in your entire life. So, let's take his advice and make it a priority to connect, connect, connect! 2. Start Where You Are: Steve shares a valuable tip for anyone looking to get started on their own journey. He suggests simply recording content on your phone, tablet, or computer. It doesn't matter the quality at first, what matters is that you start. With time, you'll improve and refine your skills. So, let go of perfectionism and embrace the joy of creating and connecting through this medium.
Are you tired of the traditional networking methods that fail to bring real value to your business? In this episode, Nana interviews the owner of a business to business networking group that operates on an invitational basis. Discover how this unique approach to networking leads to predictable results from word of mouth marketing and real business growth. Clay Hicks is an entrepreneur with a portfolio of 5 different companies, including H7 Network and he is on the podcast today. KEY TAKEAWAYS H7 Network is a networking hub for the following values and principles, these are: Connect - Serve - Ask - Influence - Focus - Champion - and Win-Win. H7 network is an invitation only group to prevent those who just want to sell to the room from joining. Clay wants to build a community of people who really want to work with each other and grow each other's businesses. The key to transforming your business is not just having customers, it's the relationships you build with those customers, with your staff, with your team, with your prospects. Having people know that you're reliable, trustworthy, and good to work with is more valuable than any marketing strategy you can have. Connect, serve, and ask is the philosophy behind how Clay builds relationships with people in one on one business meetings. Simply put it's building a relationship, then giving them something they need, then asking them for something that you need. The connection part is the most important and that's why it comes first. The real success in networking is becoming a champion for other people and them being a champion for you. It's about finding someone who is intentionally active in networking your skills to other people, instead of waiting for those opportunities to arise. BEST MOMENTS ‘We're looking for a very strong community of professionals who want to grow their businesses, who also want to work with other people' ‘We had over 1000 visitors to our community all through word-of-mouth, not a single dollar spent on marketing' ‘I keep smarter people around me than myself' ‘It's not just who you know, it's how you know them' EPISODE RESOURCES Clay Hicks - CEO and Founder - H7 Network | LinkedIn clayton@h7network.com H7 Network VALUABLE RESOURCES Productize ebook Leave your comments on the show's facebook community page: https://www.facebook.com/Buildvaluebychoice Get your free valuation here: https://bit.ly/get-free-valuation Podcast website: https://infhorizons.com/podcast/ Don't forget to subscribe to the podcast and share it. ABOUT THE GUEST Clay Hicks is an entrepreneur with a portfolio of 5 different companies, an author, a speaker, and trainer on professional relationships. What's the difference between a referral partner and a champion in business networking? A champion is more intentional and helps a business grow in a more consistent way than a regular referral partner, who helps based on timing and opportunity. For someone starting out in business and new to networking, they should focus on being prepared and intentional at networking events. They should make a list of 2-3 people they really want to meet at the event, who could help with their business such as insurance agents, mortgage brokers, or business coaches. The champion training process is a unique feature offered to members, which allows them to build champions. The process is what sets the organization apart in the market. We highlight the importance of having champions in your network, who can help you find ideal clients. We also discuss how focusing on relationships instead of outcomes makes outcomes more predictable. Having these partnerships doesn't have to cost a lot and can be done in a way that holds the bottom line while maximizing profit. Finding and connecting with the people who need your services is where it makes the most sense. The thing is when He mentions the Church, He means a community of believers. It is essential for our spiritual well-being to be a part of a Christian community so that we have people to push us closer to Christ. How to Integrate Your Faith into Your Workplace It can be easy to not see your workplace as a mission field. But, the people we spend the most time with are our coworkers. Our actions and our attitude need to back up our faith so that people will ask why we are different. This allows for a gospel conversation to be started. This week on the Employer Blueprint Podcast, we will be talking with SJ Barakony about the power of networking in our business. We have all been through it, there are 1 million different networking events available. Some are formal and others are informal. Often networking meetings are available to those that sign up as members for a fee, and others are community driven by way of a non profit or local chamber. For some people, the idea of attending an event where they are able to work a room and meet new people is a dream come true. This is the situation for an obvious extravert, however the opposite is true for someone who is an introvert. This can be a dreaded moment, when an introverted person has to go to a networking event, because they are forced to be removed from their comfort zone. Whatever your outlook, networking in any capacity is very valuable if you rely on relationships with others to do business. It is also important to add that networking properly is the key to developing solid relationships. Employer Blueprint Podcast is proud to present the Founder of Service Before Self Leadership, SJ Barakony. SJ is a Consultant, Mentor, and Advisor to those that have found themselves to be unsuccessful with traditional educations methods. SJ is an edu-prenuer with nearly 8 years experience and has been involved in groups such as the Young Entrepreneur’s Academy, and Teen Entrepreneurial Camp. SJ is also involved with H7 Network, a networking group that was started in Ohio, and in this episode he will talk about the importance of networking and how to be effective in your networking efforts. It is always important when networking to build depth of relationship. It is very easy to walk into a networking event, see everyone in the room, meet everyone in the room, but never build a relationship with anyone. When that happens it takes away the opportunity to really connect, which then hinders the ability to gain new clients or make any money. We hope you enjoy as topics like these and many more are covered in the podcast. Thanks, and be sure to subscribe so you don’t miss an episode.
