Așa că își cheltuia toți banii pe cărți de specialitate încercând să reproducă ce vedea și să înțeleagă procesul din spatele lucrărilor cu o sete incredibilă de cunoaștere. În 2001 a fondat Synopsis, un studio de design grafic care a devenit unul dintre cele mai respectate studiouri de la noi din țară. În 2011, alături de o echipă, a pornit proiectul Typopassage , o rețea de micro muzee în aer liber în Timișoara dedicată posterelor, tipografiei și designului grafic. Ovidiu a câștigat numeroase premii internaționale de design, iar lucrările sale au fost publicate în peste 80 de cărți și reviste de specialitate. În timpul pandemiei a ajuns să-și pună întrebările grele pe care, prins în vârtejul vieții și managementului unui studio de design, amânase să și le pună: de ce face ce face?
