Jejich lídrem se chce stát populární jihomoravský hejtman Jan Grolich. Jak hodlá lidovce modernizovat? Hostem Ptám se já byl kandidát na předsedu lidovců, hejtman Jihomoravského kraje Jan Grolich. „Je strašně cítit, že lidé chtějí nějakou změnu. A ten, kdo to nabídne, může uspět,“ řekl Grolich s odkazem nálady ve společnosti, které ukázala i nedávná demonstrace Milionu chvilek na podporu prezidenta. „Těší mě na tom, že tady neřešíme jenom nějaký osobní spor prezidenta s Filipem Turkem, potažmo s Motoristy. Lidé jasně ukázali, že jim fakt není jedno, co se s tou zemí děje. A fakt jim není jedno, jak se politici chovají.“V rozhovoru pro Ptám se já Grolich připustil, že „paseku“ ve vládě očekával spíše od zástupců SPD než od Motoristů. „Toto jsem fakt nečekal. Proto bych varoval před volením nových stran, nových projektů, rychlokvašek. Když se někdo dostane do vedoucí pozice, může mu to stoupnout do hlavy. A to se právě děje Motoristům.“ Populární jihomoravský hejtman chce voličům do budoucna nabídnout alternativu v podobě zreformovaných lidovců. O vedení KDU-ČSL se hodlá ucházet na dubnovém sjezdu. Zároveň bude Grolich na podzim kandidovat do Senátu, odkud by měl i prostor k přípravě strany na příští sněmovní volby.Nynější opoziční síly jsou podle Grolicha na startovní čáře, jeho cílem je, aby mezi nimi lidovci získali prvenství. Do roka chce proto představit nový program a do vedení partaje vytáhnout zejména mladé. Ohlášenou kandidaturu jihomoravského hejtmana, který byl v minulosti i stand-up komikem a je známý svými schopnostmi v marketingu a politické propagaci, spolustraníci vítají s nadšením. A také s velkým očekáváním. Ministr to odmítl. „Účast na demonstraci mě překvapila,“ řekl Buchtík s tím, že bylo mrazivé počasí a spolek protest svolal v krátkém čase. Spor kolem Turka podle něj ukázal několik věcí. „Macinka nečekal Pavlův tah, že zveřejní ty SMS zprávy,“ uvedl Buchtík s tím, že politici mívají pocit, že mají podporu veřejnosti, protože se tak chová jejich bezprostřední okolí. „Ale Filipa Turka za ministra nechtějí ani voliči ANO,“ připomněl sociolog.Podle lídra Milionu chvilek Mikuláše Mináře Česko nesmí zopakovat chybu ze Slovenska, kde hulvátské útoky odradily od obhajoby mandátu prezidentku Zuzanu Čaputovou.
