Hi Friends!Do you suffer from SAME S**T, DIFFERENT DAY, or MONTH, or YEAR? Have you ever asked someone how they are doing, and they respond SSDD which stands for “Same s..t, different day?” It's easy to get caught up in the day-to-day humdrum where the days seem to run into each other because the same thing happens day in and day out. In this episode, Ted offers 14 ways to get out of SSDD and feel more enthusiastic about being alive at a time when it's becoming increasingly difficult to find fulfillment and meaning in modern life. Today's topic is Defining. I am on a mission to eliminate or eradicate with prejudice, SSDD. I think you know what I mean. It's Same Stuff Different Day. I see too many shops going into work every day doing the same thing. Like it's another day dealing with a client. It's another brake job. It's another oil service. I want you to get that out of your shop. How are we going to do that? If you're ready to eliminate SSDD then this podcast is for you! So press that play button and listen along.
Virginia Rivers, Vice Mayor of Mason, TN joins the show to talk about the SSDD shenanigans in her city. Then talk turns to the R Word. The one that makes the people quake in their boots - REPARATIONS. The Mayor and citizens of Tullahassee, OK are pushing for restitution. Meanwhile, Harvard University (Terence's alma mater!) has acknowledged its role in slavery and set aside a $100m endowment. What does all this really mean? Let's discuss!

Last week, the nation's union bosses selected a new AFL-CIO president. For those who were hoping for a union movement that is less reliant on politics, it doesn't appear that's going to be happening anytime soon Last Friday, the AFL-CIO Executive Council---the 'board of directors' for the nation's largest union federation---selected Secretary-Treasurer Elizabeth Shuler to replace Richard Trumka, who died earlier this month from an apparent heart attack. By choosing Shuler and, as well based on her first interview, the federation signaled its continuation of focusing on political outcomes, as opposed to 'self reliance.' In this episode of Union Free Radio, host Peter List covers Shuler's stated direction for the union federation, as well as covers how AFL-CIO misleads the public about CEO Pay. Not news to anyone else, but it's not all about YOU, Ramona Singer ... no matter how hard you try to make it so. After wreaking havoc at the Jew-Belong Black Shabbot dinner with her disruptive whitesplaining, Ramona somehow gets an invitation from Luann to go lunch with the Fortune Society ladies, where she repeats the performance. For some reason, Eboni keeps giving her grace. (Luann and Sonja do, too, but that's just SSDD.) Sonja pees in Archie's driveway. Marley dines from the charcuterie board and humps Eboni's arm. Sonja explains strategies for avoiding unnecessary plumbing bills. Eboni gets exciting news from the genetics investigator. And that's what you missed on Glee.
USA's calling Taliban photos of US military weapons propaganda. Some talking head said Taliban will declare total victory Sept. 11th.
Messi's signed on with a Paris club. The rest is SSDD (same sh*t, different day)
SSDD, viz, environmental collapse eminent? Delta SARS-CoV-2 rampant but Wall Street is up, so all OK=stab@levity

Covid19, surprise, surprise, isn't going away.
Naast ons wapperde de vlag. UN. United Nations at war. Geroepen om onze plicht des vaderlands te vervullen, zwoeren wij trouw aan alles wat beroepsmilitair betekende. En zo staken wij van wal. Jan Willem Zweers was in 1994 in Bosnië.
SSDD 7/7/21: I was at a pharmacy & a man came in maskless.
Afghanistan is only big news. Rest of show is SSDD.
On this episode, we cover the highlights of the final reunion episode of #RHONJ (yawn) and the hilarious antics of the #RHONY crew (yay). Sonja finds herself EXTREMELY triggered by the words “Wells Fargo” and “Garth” and proceeds to spiral in front of our eyes (SSDD). She tells Luann that she stole her man (Tom), which triggers Luann. Why doesn’t she just get back together with Harry Dubin? Eboni speaks up for Sonja and acts as Leah’s voice. Ramona holds a “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” dinner. Heather Thompson shows up and admits and denies everything simultaneously. The women talk about penises and Ramona pretends she’s a virgin. Just a normal day in New York!
eots@email.com Elimination of the Snakes - Home | Facebook Life and political podcast. Dan's book writing is going well. SSDD for John. The CDC's new mask guidelines. Sharon Stone says she wasn’t asked about new XXX cut of Basic Instinct. Pipeline hack update: Colonial reopens.
Offhand, I don't know how bad it is in Gaza compared to the other clashes. Only this time do I remember seeing high rises become rubble all with USA foreign aid.

I recorded an essay I wrote for a contest & read headlines from apnews & RT.com.
Yara is already threatening Jovi with being a weekend dad. She might be kind of a bi-atch, but she is HONEST. She’s not going to tell Jovi’s mom that she’s invited to the wedding if she knows that it’s not going to happen. There’s something to telling the truth, right? Also, flip side, he’s a bi-atch, too. Stephanie truly disgusts us (so, basically, SSDD). Ryan has been gone for 12 hours and she’s already ready to get engaged to his cousin. Harris is no better, though. Never trust someone who will betray their own family. Julia has a “Say Yes to the Dress” moment, but no one is making her feel like a princess (sad face). Natalie apologizes to Mike, but it is probably just a ploy to get the ring back. He looks skeptical...because he’s met her. Hazel calls Tarik’s bluff, and he fails the test. Run fo’ yo’ life, girlfriend. Zied is absolutely delighted about the dishwasher and the horse and carriage but drops a bomb about Ramadan. Amira is torn between her common sense and her guilt-tripping fiancé. Thanks for sitting in, Mary! See you next week.
To entertain firstly & foremost, then instruct.

SSDD covid-19: USA soon has 4000 deaths/ day in a pandemic that was controllable & preventable, if action taken.
Thursday covid-19 blues, the attempt to kidnap a state governor, & Mr Biden will be POTUS#46 as POTUS#45 continues doing what a grifter does, as I heard someone say, the Stupidest-Americans to get cheated are those that go to the Trumpshow and support Trump.
2 clips about a whacko idea & more SSDD about COVID-19 & newest about COVID-19 vaccines. I must prepare for my immediate tasks & this afternoon's superspreader event. Like many throwbacks, I want to cheat fate, viz, I don't want to die from CoViD19
SSDD same sh*t different day: if I get covid-19, I got a 60% chance of dying. I told this to a guy who was covid-19+ & he wanted to tell me experts are wrong. Maybe that's why he works where he does. I am not saying that I am some superior being but I do listen to the news.

The Potomac ladies are back and it’s off to a shady start. Good thing nothing has changed, despite all the damn babies. Gizelle is back with her ex-husband, cheater/pastor Jamal, and we’re dubious. Once a cheater, right? Certainly once a hypocrite… In other marital news, Karen admits that her marriage is on the skids, Robyn and Juan are back--no, never mind. SSDD. Ashley and Michael are still gross, Candiace’s husband is still acceptable (for a Real Househusband), and she’s still ghetto fabulous. And, of course, Monique and Chris are still rich as hell and charming, to boot. (#relationshipgoals) What’s more, Monique can potty train a bird AND a four-month-old at the same time, while taking care of two bigger kids and somehow managing to look ah-maze-ing (nothing new there!). It’s off to a roaring start and looks like it will be an explosive season!--- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/kikiandkibbitz/message

If you work in the Government acquisition world, this podcast is for you. (not just for Contracting Officers!) It’s time to wrap up the Execution Zones with the final episode in the series: The Wrap Up Zone. (sorry…couldn’t resist that one) Kevin and Paul introduced the Execution Zones in Episode 84. The Execution Zones are a helpful way to envision where and how certain topics fit into the Government contracting world. The Execution Zones are the post-award companions to the Acquisition Time Zones and are referenced in many episodes. In chronological order, they are: 1) The Honeymoon Zone 2) The Performance Zone 3) The Recompete Zone 4) The Wrap-up Zone The work is done. The product is delivered. The services have ended. Your contract is over. The Wrap Up Zone is the culmination of the Execution Zones. It covers the time period from the end of the contract period of performance until the final closeout modification is signed. With service contracts, there is often a transition period between the incumbent and the new contractor when both are working simultaneously to ensure a clean hand off of the responsibilities. Learn how the Wrap Up Zone can impact the Government’s perception of a contractor and why a contract (and potential financial liability) is not over until the final closeout modification is signed. __________ Kevin Jans and Paul Schauer created the Contracting Officer Podcast to help Government and Industry acquisition professionals understand more about how the other side thinks. Admittedly, the podcast’s name sounds very limiting. It is not just for contracting officers or even just for those in the contracting profession. Anyone with an interest in the Federal acquisition world can benefit from the insight and down-to-earth explanations of complicated topics provided by the hosts.
If you work in the Government acquisition world, this podcast is for you. (not just for Contracting Officers!) It is likely that your contract will require some kind of modification over its period of performance. (unless it is for a simple commodity purchase) Modifications may have a large impact (to the specification, schedule, statement of work, etc.) or may make minor administrative changes with no impact to the work. Kevin and Paul discuss FAR Part 43 and provide an overview of the process and rules for modifying Government contracts. Learn the different types of modifications, who can authorize changes to the contract, and why Government and Industry negotiation “power” changes after contract award. __________ Kevin Jans and Paul Schauer created the Contracting Officer Podcast to help Government and Industry acquisition professionals understand more about how the other side thinks. If you work in the Government acquisition world, this podcast is for you. (not just for Contracting Officers!) Kevin discusses the challenges that small businesses face as they strive to win their first prime contract with Jim Duffey and Ted Atsinger from Greytek. Grektek is a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) that specializes in organizational risk, security education & training, and intelligence services. Learn some of the differences between commercial and Government customers from a small business perspective. The conversation with Greytek also reveals pitfalls that first time primes may deal with in targeting new work that fits their skills and weight class and in preparing proposals for Government competitions. __________ Kevin Jans and Paul Schauer created the Contracting Officer Podcast to help Government and Industry acquisition professionals understand more about how the other side thinks. If you work in the Government acquisition world, this podcast is for you. (not just for Contracting Officers!) Who makes the decision to purchase something for the Government? The answer depends on many factors, but is usually quite different from how an acquisition decision is made in your personal life or the non-Government world. Kevin and Paul discuss the 3 main “deciders” in Government acquisition and relate them to easily recognizable roles. Money, needs, and the authority/ability to make a transaction. Learn who has the power in each Acquisition Timezone and why it is important for both Government and Industry to recognize how the power can shift. __________ Kevin Jans and Paul Schauer created the Contracting Officer Podcast to help Government and Industry acquisition professionals understand more about how the other side thinks. If you work in the Government acquisition world, this podcast is for you. (not just for Contracting Officers!) The Recompete Zone is here! Are you ready to compete just to keep doing the work you’re already doing? A unique feature of the Government Acquisition world is the requirement to fairly compete new contracts, even if the requirement is unchanged from a current effort and the Government is entirely satisfied with the current contractor’s performance. Kevin and Paul introduced the Execution Zones in Episode 84. The Execution Zones are a helpful way to envision where and how certain topics fit into the Government contracting world. The Execution Zones are the post-award companions to the Acquisition Time Zones and are referenced in many episodes. In chronological order, they are: 1) The Honeymoon Zone 2) The Performance Zone 3) The Recompete Zone 4) The Wrap-up Zone The Performance Zone and the Recompete Zone don’t have a clear line between them. In most cases they occur simultaneously for at least some period. Learn why both Government and Industry can be dual-hatted during the Recompete Zone and how this zone parallels the Acquisition Time Zones. __________ Kevin Jans and Paul Schauer created the Contracting Officer Podcast to help Government and Industry acquisition professionals understand more about how the other side thinks. You want it fast, you’ll get it fast! Don’t forget the law of unintended consequences when using any kind of incentives. If you work in the Government acquisition world, this podcast is for you. (not just for Contracting Officers!) This is an encore presentation of our overview of Incentive Contracts. Look for separate episodes that dive into the details of cost, schedule, and performance incentives. Incentive contracts are designed to help the Government acquire goods and services at a lower cost or with improved delivery or technical performance. These contracts provide the opportunity for creativity in crafting incentives and also great peril if the incentives aren’t perfectly aligned with the Government’s intent. In this episode Kevin and Paul explain the basic types of incentives and provide examples of how they can help both the Government and Industry if used wisely. But look out….the law of unintended consequences can be devastating if the delicate balance of cost, schedule, and performance is not considered with every incentive. ———— If you need help with the Government market, become a Skyway Connection Community licensee and get access to one-on-one insights, time-saving tools, and contract-centric training resources that will make sure you’re ready to take advantage of opportunities each time they knock. We spend a lot of time on this podcast discussing how complicated doing business with the Federal Government can seem to beginners. We know that there are many upstanding consultants and companies that help new entrants to the Government market get started. (and some are free like the Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) and other Small Business Administration resources) There are also scam artists who misrepresent the complexity and costs and swindle aspiring Government contractors out of thousands of dollars. In this episode Paul sits down with special guest Shelley Hall to clarify that it does not cost ANYTHING to register to do business with the Federal Government. In addition, Paul and Shelley discuss a range of free resources available to Industry to simplify the process of registering and submitting a bid. You don’t have to pay to register in the System for Award Management (SAM) You don’t have to pay to get a Dun and Bradstreet No. (DUNS) You don’t have to pay to get a Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) code You don’t have to pay to use Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) You don’t have to pay for a Taxpayer Information Number (TIN) You don’t have to pay to “get” a North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code You do not have to pay to get small business assistance You do not have to pay to get 8(a), HUBZone, SDVOSB, or EDWOSB status DON’T LET ANYONE TELL YOU OTHERWISE! ———— If you need help with the Government market, become a Skyway Connection Community licensee and get access to one-on-one insights, time-saving tools, and contract-centric training resources that will make sure you’re ready to take advantage of opportunities each time they knock. Government Contracting Officers are required to make a determination that a contractor is “responsible” before awarding a contract. Part of this determination requires a review of the contractor’s financial capability. (FAR 9.104(a)) Kevin and Paul discuss why it is important for Government Contracting Officers to carefully review their bidder’s financial capabilities (especially for small businesses) and be cognizant of when an acquisition strategy may encourage companies to bid above their weight class. (which introduces risk). Industry should also understand how the Government evaluates financial responsibility and how to be prepared to pass this test. __________ Kevin Jans and Paul Schauer created the Contracting Officer Podcast to help Government and Industry acquisition professionals understand more about how the other side thinks. This documentation is often called the SSEB Report, which is presented to the Source Selection Authority (SSA) as the primary resource for the selection decision. Kevin and Paul discuss the FAR requirement for documentation of the evaluation decision and why it is important for the Government to justify their source selection decision and be prepared to share that justification with industry ———— If you need help with the Government market, join the Skyway Connection Community and get access to one-on-one insights, time-saving tools, and contract-centric training resources that will make sure you’re ready to take advantage of opportunities each time they knock.
