Join us every Sunday for a new episode. David Ekelund's Book Recommendations:
Talking with the Swedish entrepreneur of the year in our fresh episode of 'New Horizons'! Must a company perpetually expand to be successful? Does the journey towards a more sustainable way of life also demand a personal commitment to growth? These are the thought-provoking questions we explored during our recent visit to ICEBUG. Additionally, you'll discover why communal mushroom foraging and jogging have become integral elements of daily life at ICEBUG. The key takeaway from our visit is that personal development and achieving a work-life-balance are not just aspirations but can be tangible realities. Our podcast host, Fabian Nendza, engaged in a conversation with David about ICEBUG's vision of a "planet in balance", the Inner Development Goals and their collaborative solar energy project in Vietnam. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Jonas Svengård is an avid trail runner and professional bandy player who was born in Melbourne, Australia to Swedish parents. Eventually settling in Gothenburg, Jonas worked in the coffee and service industry for 20 years. Then one day, he read Haruki Murakami’s memoir “What I talk About When I Talk About Running” and he started running. Around the same time, his wife bought him a pair of Icebug trail running shoes as a Christmas present. This propelled Jonas to go meet Icebug’s CEO in person, and tell him that he wanted to work at Icebug. 5 days later he pitched the idea for “Winterrun”. Just 3 months later, he successfully organized his first event under the Icebug banner. Jonas has organized over 80 events across Scandinavia with the same mindset: to bring people together to experience the outdoors in a magical way. Some of these trail races include the West Coast Trail and the Frozen Lake Marathon. You can expect to catch Jonas running up Sweden’s West Coast, unless of course he is planning a new crazy adventure for people who share his passion and love for the outdoors.

Justin trains under Coach Pain, and is consistently on the heels of the top competitors. One issue he has been facing is being too concerned about the racers behind him, which has led to some less than desirable finishes at recent races. Coach talks about how to keep your eye on the goal in front of you, not only in your race, but in life as well. He talks about training to achieve your goals and takes a second to talk to Justin’s wife about her contribution to his success. We just partnered with Icebug to get you a discount on your next pair!
