On this episode of the podcast I am joined by the original OG MTV VJ, Jesse Camp! It's basically the best episode ever, especially when you get this blonde and Jesse's personality put together. Get ready for a wild mix of fun, lots of laughs, and all the kinds of infomercials you've always needed. So much rockin content you'll want to listen again, and again!

Chris and John jump in their time machine to travel back to 1997ish when Jesse Camp and Dave Holmes (I'm not looking up the spelling so roll with it if it's wrong) dominated MTV. We also talk Fastlane, which was good if you started watching an hour in, and AEW's awesome match with Thunder Rosa vs Britt Baker. And of course we talk Patriots and NFL off season BS. IF you listen to this episode you'll notice two things: I cheaped out on the title and followed through on the Midnight Express song.
(REC Date 03/26/20) Returning guest Jesse Camp calls in to our recording of "Anti Social Show" and entertains the heck out of us. One problem... because we aren't able to Skype Jesse in, he cannot hear anything that Hunter says. Somehow, we make it work. The show begins guestless with a tribute to the recently passed Kenny Rogers, and it also contains another tribute in the middle of the show provided by Mr. Camp himself. Meanwhile, the nightmare that is COVID-19 had not quite begun to pick up steam at this point although it most certainly is on our minds. We talk about lots of other stuff though and do some...improvisation? Good times were had all around. Thank you for listening. Hello, excellent humans! Splish splash, we’re taking a bath with guest Aliya Amilani who asked to be described as “the mushroom queen of Philadelphia” as we discuss 1999’s DEEP BLUE SEA and, perhaps more importantly, our forthcoming porn parody with a nigh-unpronounceable title! Along the way we talk about vintage MTV including Jesse Camp and someone named Caison Derly, discuss Danny Boyle’s directing style, say “handsome actor Tom Jane” a lot, and invent a new character, the space alien Trusto! What exactly is LL Cool J’s relationship to his bird? And did Michael Rappaport buy his facial hair at Ben Afleck’s yard sale? Find out!
The summer of 1998 - numetal was raging on the charts, Bill Clinton was lying through his teeth and MTV debuted their Wanna Be a VJ series. Jesse Camp (@therealjessecamp), a lovable goofball from Connecticut with wild hair, was chosen by viewers and became the first ever winner, and he’s joining Girly Mags for this blast-from-the-past episode! Come along for this balls-to-the-wall, totally rockin’ nostalgia trip through his time at MTV, strange celebrity encounters, 1998 trivia and more! Joining Dillard and I in the studio today is Jesse Camp. If his name sounds familiar its because he was the first winner of the Wanna be a VJ contest at MTV in 1998. We catch up with him as we talk about the MTV days and witness his comedy style that reflects the classic Jesse Camp.
Saluton estas mi, Tyson Saner, your host for the duration of this "Chats" episode of Succotash, The Comedy Soundcast Soundcast. Thank you for joining us. I really have got a rare treat for you, folks. Some of you have seen the thumbnail for this episode and know what's coming but, for those of you who may have possibly downloaded this episode or otherwise added it to your queue without looking at it, first — seriously , thank you — and second, our guest is none other than television personality, musician, songwriter, filmmaker, and first-year winner of MTV's Wanna Be a VJ: Jesse Camp! Mr. Camp was on two episodes of the Harmontown soundcast (episodes 316 & 317), which I recently had a chance to catch up on. And he had such a positive attitude about life I felt compelled to reach out to him. Some of you might recall that Jesse was reported to have gone missing for about a week around the middle of 2018, and I'm telling you that here because we don't really talk about it very much if at all in this chat. He went into great detail on those aformentioned episodes of "Harmontown" so you can listen to that story there if you were to desire to do so. For the most part we talked about the present and the future... in fact there will most likely be a "Part 2" released sometime after this because we did have a pretty interesting time together...on the phone... We've also got another TRIPLE shot of Raging Moderate Will Durst's Burst O' Durst segment, as well as selected readings from our Fake Sponser with a 100% Real Website TrumPoetry.com . That is all that makes up this installment of our Succotash Chats episode with Jesse Camp. I hope that you've enjoyed it as much as I have and you'll be back to listen to our next episode which is more likely to be a "Clips" episode because I've been listening to some soundcasts that I really want to share with you next time… I mean, don't get me wrong, I enjoy sharing each and every soundcast that I clip for the show. Part of the enjoyment that I derive from my journey around the internet is the opportunity to listen to people have conversations…and tell stories…and play games…often with sound effects. I'll be drawn in by the promise of a subject I might happen to be interested in at that point in time… Quite often, I will find myself researching things that I had not previously heard of until they were mentioned on a soundcast somewhere. And that will invariably lead me to find another soundcast that I had not previously been aware of for one reason or another…and I will likely be clipping that soundcast for a future "clips" episode…and then YOU will get a taste of a soundcast that may or may not have ever been on your radar. Who knows? How do you find the soundcast or casts that YOU listen to? I'll take my answer off-air… Thank you again for listening and if you would be so kind...could we possible ask you, nay IMPLORE you, to please pass the Succotash? — Tyson Saner

Xany Rudoff is a Los Angeles-based artist who works primarily as a painter, but has dabbled in acting, interior design and wardrobe styling. Born in Pasadena to an artist mother and art historian father, Rudoff moved with her family to the desert expanse of Apple Valley, CA, a site that would be crucial for her artistic development. In the wide, empty nothingness of the desert landscape, there were no limitations to Rudoff's imagining, and upon returning to Los Angeles proper to get her B.A. in fine arts at the University of California, Los Angeles, she was able to see the city and the art world from the outside. Rudoff has previously participated in and organized group and benefit shows of her art and will be showing her most recent work, the Icon Series — which transforms vintage record albums and rock icons with the techniques used in Renaissance icon paintings — in a solo show this summer. She has been featured in the New York Times Magazine, Los Angeles magazine and Vanity Fair. Xany Rudoff's most notable collectors include: Benicio Del Toro, Pink, Alan McGee (Creation Records co-founder) Go see Xanys work http://xanyart.com/index.htm
