He launched a series with DAVID ATTENBOROUGH & launched popular TV CHANNELS. He gave a BLUR member a v special ride! He offered to teach DAVE GROHL drums and he's followed by BARACK OBAMA and he's in one of my favourite bands. My guest has SO much insightful advice and recommendations and some great stories. He's helped shape the media and music industries for over 3 decades and he's a drummer and guitarist in a great band. He got his first glimpse into the media world as a teenager by secretly following a courier into a music magazine and went on to climb the fence at Glastonbury before being invited back with VIP backstage passes. He went on to work for some of the world's greatest media brands launching a show with David Attenborough and even launching a popular TV channel. He's been a good friend of mine for a very long time and I can tell you he's a total original and a wildcard on a night out whether he's offering to give Dave Grohl drum lessons or dragging an almost naked member of Blur around a dance floor. When the news broke in May this year he was interviewed on news TV channels around the world as they all wanted to know about the ground breaking procedure which will help restore hearing for deaf people with auditory neuropathy and will be life changing for many people with this form of deafness. My guest was a medical student at Oxford University where he was on TV in University Challenge, after he graduated he moved to London to work as a doctor and lived and worked here before moving to Cambridge where he became a consultant paediatrician, he also coaches Hockey but still loves going out in London when he has the time and I can tell you from personal experience he's great fun on a night out. Min 5: TROLLS 3: TODOS JUNTOS La tercera entrega de esta colorista apuesta animada para todos los públicos huele a éxito asegurado y va a ser sin duda la película familiar del fin de semana y de todo el puente festivo. Raquel Hernández nos cuenta por qué esta tercera entrega vuelve a hacer buena la fórmula de dar a los más pequeños lo que necesitan sin descuidar a los adultos que les van a llevar a la salas. La apuesta por la buena música vuelve a ser una de las claves de su buen resultado. Min 8: UN “COMBO-THRILLER” DESIGUAL La gran amenaza que tendrán los Trolls en pantalla tiene a la apuesta por el thriller como nexo. Min 24: “ALIMAÑAS” Y “MAMACRUZ” PONEN LA Ñ Estas dos comedias españolas ponen el toque español a la cartelera y también las dosis de comedia que pueden atemperar los ánimos con este tiempo revuelto. Min 28: EL NIÑO Y LA GARZA (SELLO GHIBLI) Y dejamos para el final del Filtro Luchini una de las exquisiteces de la nueva cartelera. Es el último trabajo del talentoso cineasta japonés Hayazo Miyazaki, que sin llegar a las cotas de maestría de sus trabajos más aclamados (“El viaje de Chihiro”, “La princesa Mononoke) ofrece un producto a la altura del sello Ghibli y por lo tanto en una recomendación obligatoria para los amantes de este género. Min 34: BSO LOS ASESINOS DE LA LUNA El público, la crítica y las cifras confirman que “Los asesinos de la Luna” ha supuesto el regreso del mejor Scorsese del siglo XXI. Pero la maestría del director de Taxi Driver, Uno de los Nuestros o Gangs of New York no se ha limitado a perfeccionar aún más su forma de hacer cine. Esta vez Scorsese le ha dado una gran importancia a la música y por eso convenció a su amigo y productor Robbie Robertson a dar un último salto a la composición para dotar a la película de una atmósfera musical a la altura de su gran resultado final.

It may not be a stellar entry for the DCEU.  But somehow it encapsulate the ups and downs and the best and worst of the not so long-standing franchise.  If nothing else, the Flash movie exists.  This is a movie that has been long expected and gone through multiple ideas and revisions as the future looked bright-ish for this latest cinematic universe and now it looks dead in the water. The hype going into it was unbelievable, fans and the entirety of the DCEU was counting on this movie with a troubled production history and everything else going on to either save the franchise and be the next step forward or to end thing arguably in the cleanest most concise way ever and wrap up a decade of plot threads.  Needless to say, that was a lot, maybe too much on this movie.But as a super hero movie fan, I had to tackle this movie.  It has been far too many months since I last graced the podcast airwaves, so here we are to bring about the end of the DCEU (until Aquaman 2 that is) and talk about how this last entry wrapped things up and how it stands as a solo and final outing for the Flash.Make sure to stop by all your favorite socials to find us at either @nicknackmovies or @nicknack_IC on Twitter, Instagram, Tik Tok, and Letterboxd.  Share all your thoughts on The Flash now that we have all had months to process it and maybe see it for the first time on Max.
