Harvey won two FA Cups with Newcastle as a player as part of the famous 1950s side, before joining the coaching staff and watching from the touchline as United lifted a third FA Cup in five years with a victory in the 1955 Final.Joe was destined for management and went into the lower leagues to learn his trade before being appointed as Toon boss in 1961. He would take the club into the top flight and go on to win the Fairs Cup in 1969.
