We discuss our thoughts on the texture and use experience from both the oily skin and dry skin perspective.

What happens when you’re away from home with zero makeup and a formal event on the cards? In this week’s Uncensored episode, we put our personal shopper hats on for a listener who needs a full glam look—on a strict $150 budget. Oh, and if sparkly skin won’t leave your algorithm alone either, you’re not alone. We talk TikTok’s obsession with Meredith Duxbury’s glowy glam and the MCoBeauty dupe that nails the vibe. It's no secret that I'm not a big fan of pharmaceuticals or the way Big Pharma—and Big Food, for that matter—have not only corrupted the health industry, but directly caused the massive health and obesity crisis in this country. And while we talk a LOT here on this podcast about how you can begin healing your body by eating the right things, one thing we don't really talk about is what natural alternatives exist for replacing the drugs that are still taking up space in your medicine cabinet. That's why I'm SO excited about today's episode. This week, Nigel and Tazziii celebrate reaching 200 episodes of the podcast as they dive deep into the anime feature film Blue Giant (starting at 36:23). Joining them is special guest Lao K—not only the other mayamada co-founder but the person responsible for the podcast starting in the first place! As we enter the double centurion club, we explore the creative journey of the film's three protagonists and how their perspectives on artistic talent weave into a tightly built wound narrative. The story gives us deeper insights about pursuing your dreams in the face of heavy resistance and some self-doubt. Its optimistic approach to creative obsession gives us a chance to debate views on success and storytelling in Eastern versus Western media. There are themes aplenty to examine, and we get quite philosophical doing just that! This week's storytelling tip explores using underdog narrative beats in stories beyond sports dramas. This episode was made possible thanks to All the Anime, who provided review copies of Blue Giant. Other stories we're enjoying include: Dragon Ball Super (Crunchyroll), One Piece (BBC iPlayer), Monster Hunter: World (PC/Console), Foundation (Apple TV+), Holiday in Handcuffs (Disney+), Nutcracker (Disney+), So I'm a Spider, So What? (Crunchyroll), Gosick (Crunchyroll), In Another World with My Smartphone (Crunchyroll), Parallel World Pharmacy (Crunchyroll), Drug Store in Another World (Crunchyroll), If It's for My Daughter, I'd Even Defeat a Demon Lord (Crunchyroll), Kakuriyo: Bed & Breakfast for Spirits (Crunchyroll), The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom (Nintendo Switch), Joker: Folie à Deux (Cinema), Arcane Season 1 & 2 (Netflix), Gladiator 2 (Cinema), The Wild Robot (Cinema)

This Saturday on Vintage Classic Radio's "Saturday Matinee," we begin with the "Blondie" radio show featuring the episode “Three Weeks Vacation,” originally broadcast on July 27, 1947. Stemming from the beloved comic strip created by Chic Young, which first appeared in 1930, "Blondie" captures the humorous dynamics of domestic life. In this episode, Blondie and Dagwood Bumstead navigate the comedic chaos of planning a much-needed vacation, which becomes a series of humorous mishaps, perfectly capturing the essence of the comic strip. Penny Singleton stars as Blondie, with Arthur Lake as her ever-bumbling husband Dagwood. Following "Blondie," we'll tune into the "Archie Andrews" radio show for the episode "Drugstore Mixup," which aired on July 27, 1946. Originating from the popular comic strip by Bob Montana, this episode dives into a typical day in the life of Archie Andrews and his friends, filled with teenage antics and confusions. The mix-up at the local drugstore leads to a cascade of comical misunderstandings, showcasing the charming awkwardness of Archie's life. Bob Hastings voices the titular character, with Harlan Stone as Jughead and Gloria Mann as Veronica. Our matinee concludes with the "Texaco Star Theater" episode from April 8, 1948, hosted by the legendary Milton Berle and featuring guest stars Gordon MacRae and Evelyn Knight. This episode of the musical variety show captures the essence of post-war American entertainment with its unique blend of humor, music, and celebrity performances. Gordon MacRae and Evelyn Knight charm the audience with their vocal talents, delivering performances that range from romantic duets to lively solos, all under the witty and dynamic guidance of Milton Berle, making it a delightful and engaging showcase of the era's entertainment. Join us this Saturday on Vintage Classic Radio for a journey back to the golden age of radio, where comic strip characters come to life and captivating musical performances unfold, all brought to you through the magic of radio storytelling.

“Hey Cory, what do you do?” I am a comedian, pharmacist, author, and speaker. With the eye for detail of a pharmacist and the mind of a comedian, I am out to help others challenge the conventions and PREscriptions holding them back while adapting to the unknown and living in the moment. All while getting some laughs along the way. Rewind to 2013, two years into my pharmacy career and there I was, struggling to adapt to the unscripted world of pharmacy and healthcare. On paper I had checked all of the boxes: perfect grades, residency, board certifications. But then I realized something was missing - the ability to create meaningful connections in the moment with those I cared for, and the ability to adapt and remain flexible. 2013 was the year I went to my first improv class and two simple words changed everything for me: "Yes, and." _____________ The Pennsylvania Pharmacists Care Network (PPCN) is pleased to announce that Dr. Rob Maher has been selected to serve as its new President and Chief Operating Officer (COO). Dr. Maher brings over 30 years of experience working in independent community pharmacy practice, ambulatory care pharmacy, long-term care pharmacy and hospital pharmacy. Dr. Maher has an extensive history with PPCN, since its formation in 2015. Dr. Maher has been actively involved in PPCN since by serving as a PPCN luminary, PPCN trainer and technology solution support lead for PioneerRX. Dr. Maher has also represented PPCN nationally, serving for the past three years as Chair of the Community Pharmacy Enhanced Services Network's (CPESN) Quality Assurance Committee. Most recently he has served as Director of Pharmacy Services for Klingensmith's Drugstore, a seven-store independent, family-owned chain of PPCN-member pharmacies located in Armstrong and Clarion counties. In this role, Dr. Maher lead the development, implementation, and growth of enhanced community pharmacy services across multiple locations. Through use of key performance indicators (KPIs), careful workflow considerations and by leaning into technology, Dr. Maher was able to position Klingensmith's to serve their communities while growing new business revenue. In addition to his practice experience, Dr. Maher has spent the past 25 years serving as a faculty member and administrative pharmacist at the Duquesne University School of Pharmacy. During this time, Dr. Maher has taught and inspired countless student pharmacists through didactic courses related to the fundamentals of pharmacy practice management, implementation of pharmacy services and business planning/entrepreneurship. Dr. Maher earned both his B.S. in Pharmacy ('93) and PharmD from the University of Pittsburgh ('97). In 1998, Dr Maher completed a Geriatric pharmacy specialized residency at Duke University's Center for the Study of Aging and the Durham Veteran's Affairs Geriatric Research Education Center. Growing up, Dr. Rob Maher worked in his family's community pharmacy in Patton, Pa. (Cambria County) that his father owned and operated for 47 years. In 2021, the business was sold to another independent pharmacy owner. Dr. Maher also was a pharmacy owner partner for Mission Pharmacy Services, a long-term care pharmacy. Dr. Maher will be taking over for Dr. Brandon Antinopoulos, the network's first President and COO. Dr. Antinopoulos is embarking on a new career path as an independent pharmacy owner. Current PPCN Executive Director, Stephanie McGrath, will remain in her role leading the network's program design, implementation, and evaluation efforts to advocate for the quality care provided by PPCN pharmacies. PPCN Director of Engagement, Kelsey Hake, will also remain in her role supporting payer program implementation, evaluation and quality assurance.

When Kirk beams down for a house party on Cestus III, what he finds instead is an aerial bombardment and one very angry outpost survivor. But when the Enterprise gives chase and the Metrons sense violent intent, a broadcast death match is the only suggestion for conflict resolution. Are Spock and McCoy capable of effectively insulting each other? What kind of utensil can you bring to a dinner party? Is bamboo strong enough to make a bazooka out of?
