Harrison Bader isn't awful, and he plays both left and center field, but he's not an impact player. Joe DeCamara argued the real issue is that Dave Dombrowski didn't bolster the roster last offseason. Now the Phillies are stuck relying on bats like Johan Rojas and Brandon Marsh. In his press conference last night, Dave Dombrowski suggested Justin Crawford could be MLB-ready, but there was not a definitive answer as to when he would be called up. Reuben Frank joins the show from Canton, Ohio where Eric Allen is being inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame this weekend to talk about Allen and how impressed he's been with the Eagles defensive backs at training camp this year. Bryson Stott scored the game winning run on a wild pitch as the Philadelphia Phillies beat the Washington Nationals 7-6 in the first game of a three game series at Citizens Bank Park. Zack Wheeler was excellent, once again, but took a no decision after Orion Kerkering gave up a 3-run homerun to Nathanial Lowe in the top of the 9th. Johan Rojas and Trea Turner contribute offensively, but struggle defensively. The Phillies are now 16-13 and on a 3 game winning streak.

Francisco Rojas is back with a new episode of Phillies Today. He gives his takeaways from yesterday's loss to the Marlins and the three-game series overall. Also, he previews the next series that will be on the road against the New York Mets, who currently own first place in the N.L. East. A major question is how the team will deploy some of their hot young prospects into the majors later in the year. The Eagles are 6 days away from the NFL Draft with a lot of capital and options, for a team that is still loaded despite the loss of some solid defenders. Howie Roseman could go quite a few ways in the 1st Round, including moving up to get a true impact player. The defending Super Bowl Champions have an open window to repeat the feat. The Washington Nationals announced this week that MacKenzie Gore will get the ball on Opening Day when the team hosts the Philadelphia Phillies from Nationals Park.
