Hours after finishing the regularly scheduled podcast where we discuss Joel Embiid's sinus fracture, Jake Fischer reports that Jared McCain has torn a lateral meniscus in his left knee and requires surgery. The Sixers announced that Jared McCain will be out indefinitely as he needs surgery to repair a lateral meniscus tear in his left knee. The injury was first reported by Jake Fischer of The Stein Line.McCain first informed the Sixers that he was experiencing soreness in the knee after Friday night's loss to the Indiana Pacers. McCain, the 16th pick in last June's draft, was a frontrunner for the league's Rookie of the Year award, averaging 15.3 points and 2.6 assists in 23 appearances so far.Join the PHLY team as they react to the latest devastating news in what has been a disastrous season for the Philadelphia 76ers.
Nick Nurse has shuffled through starters while waiting for Joel Embiid and Paul George to get healthy, and it sounds like more changes could be on the way in games to come. The PHLY Sixers podcast discusses Nurse's approach to the rotation and where it leaves Jared McCain. They also discuss how to get Paul George going on offense and the latest developments with the Center City arena proposal.
Jared McCain is in a fight with Kelly Oubre, Guerschon Yabusele, and a surging KJ Martin for a place in Nick Nurse's starting five. Can anyone lock down the spots between the stars? The PHLY Sixers podcast discusses who might play alongside Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey, and Paul George. They also discuss a recent ESPN report on Embiid battling depression while dealing with his knee issues.
KJ Martin was the star tonight for the Philadelphia 76ers, finishing the night with a season-high 20 points on 9 for 10 shooting from the field in the Sixers' 102-94 victory. Martin's activity on the offensive end of the floor gave the Sixers a much-needed lift in a low-scoring game. Paul George returned to the lineup for the 76ers and added team-highs of 21 points and nine assists. Philadelphia's backcourt of Tyrese Maxey (16) and Jared McCain (7) had a quiet night offensively but were lifted by the play of their teammates. Guerschon Yabusele equaled Maxey's scoring output with 16, including two huge free throws to extend the Sixers' lead to six in the final seconds of the game. Kelly Oubre chipped in 13 and nine rebounds, Andre Drummond contributed seven points and a game-high 11 boards. The Magic's Franz Wagner paced all scorers with 30, Jalen Suggs netted 22 in the loss. The PHLY Sixers crew discusses win No. 6 for Philadelphia and a great KJ Martin game.
JOIN THE PHLY DIEHARDS! https://www.allphly.com/join-diehard/ The Philadelphia 76ers had their two game winning streak snapped tonight after falling to the Orlando Magic at home, 106-102. Rookie Jared McCain did all he could in an effort to pick up the win -- leading the Sixers in scoring with 24 points on an efficient 10-17 from the field with three 3s on six attempts. 76ers All-Star Tyrese Maxey finished with 16 and a team high six assists, but struggled from the floor all night shooting just 6 for 17 and missing all seven tries from behind the three-point line. Maxey sat on 10 points after three quarters before netting six in the final frame as the Sixers made a final push to steal the win. Too little, too late. Guerschon Yabusele and Kelly Oubre added 15 points each for Philadelphia. All five Sixers starters scored in double figures. Orlando's Franz Wagner led all scorers with 35, adding seven rebounds. The PHLY Sixers team breaks down a tough loss at home where the 76ers had their chances but fell short in Game 1 of this two game series. Join the PHLY Sixers team as they break down the Sixers' latest win.
The Philadelphia 76ers picked up their second straight win, this one a 108-104 win over the Charlotte Hornets thanks to four straight points by Tyrese Maxey in the final minute to secure the win. Maxey, who had been struggling for most of the night, finished with 17 points on 4-16 shooting from the field. Paul George tied his Sixers career high with 29 points, carrying the Sixers for most of the second half as the Sixers' offense struggled around him. Jared McCain added 17 points on 7-10 shooting off the bench. The Sixers will return to Philadelphia for a game against the Orlando Magic (15-7) on Wednesday night, where they'll look to extend their season-high win streak to three. Join the PHLY Sixers team as they break down the Sixers' latest win.
Philadelphia 76ers rookie Jared McCain has been a true bright spot for the struggling Sixers this season, but after a fantastic month of November, his three-point shooting has taken a bit of a dive over the last three games. McCain is 2 for 21 from long distance over that three-game span and had his stretch of ten straight double-digit scoring games snapped on Saturday night in Philadelphia's win over the Detroit Pistons. 76ers head coach also brought McCain off the bench in favor of veteran Kelly Oubre against the Pistons. What can Nurse and the Sixers do to help guide their young guard through his first rough spot?
Tyrese Maxey, Guerschon Yabusele, Jared McCain and the Philadelphia 76ers fought hard but it wasn't enough as Jalen Green and the Houston Rockets escaped with a 122-115 overtime win. Philadelphia had many chances to try and steal this one, but after several Houston efforts for 50/50 balls, offensive rebounds, and Sixers turnovers -- there was simply too much to overcome for the home win. Green scored a game-high 41 points, leading the Rockets to their 14th win of the season and handing the 76ers loss number 14 of the campaign. Maxey was amazing, matching Green's scoring effort with 39 (28 in the second half), Yabusele added 22 in a nice overall performance, and McCain chipped in 15. The Sixers have Thanksgiving off before hitting the road for a Saturday matchup against Cade Cunningham and the Detroit Pistons. The PHLY Sixers team recaps what stood out in Philadelphia's home overtime loss.

Plus, Amin accuses the NBA of stealing his 2025 All-Star Game rule ideas—and he's got the receipts to prove it. Finally, we dive into another round of Prop-A-Slot bets with our top DraftKings picks. The backcourt of Jared McCain and Tyrese Maxey were sensational as they led the Philadelphia 76ers to a, 113-98, win over the Brooklyn Nets, snapping their five-game losing streak. McCain was outstanding as he paced the Sixers with 30 points, including 6-11 from three-point range, collected six rebounds and handed out three assists. Not to be outdone by the rookie, Maxey added 26 with five assists and four steals in 27 minutes of play. Cam Johnson did his best to secure the win for the Nets with a game-high 37 points, knocking down 9-13 from long-distance but it wasn't enough as Brooklyn falls to 6-10 on the season. Both teams are now 1-2 in NBA Cup group play. The PHLY Sixers crew breaks down the much-needed win for Philadelphia, picking up win number three on the season.
