Dawn and Steve in the Morning begin this Monday with a devotional from Blackaby Ministries International about the greatest truth in all of Scripture. And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. Jordan Czamanski has been firmly producing music from the leftfield of electronica for over 20 years with collaborations as Juju and Jordash, Mountain High & many others. Part jazz, part acid, part ambient, part psychedelic, part intergalactic, part deep house, wholly experimental and wholly avant-garde which all goes to show that thankfully I have no idea how to label his music. He's a true improviser who makes us discard genres and think for ourselves about what the music means to us.His debut solo album, My Brain's Brain, is out now on Terrence Dixon's phenomenal Minimal Detroit label.I Wanna Jump Like Dee Dee is a music podcast that does music interviews differently. I'm Giles Sibbald and I'm talking to extraordinary musicians, DJ's and producers about how they use an experimental mindset in their lives to amplify their own creativity, pursue new challenges, overcome fears and bounce back from mistakes.- brought to you by Hey Sunday, the mothership of the experimental mindset™.- podcast logo and art by Tide Adesanya, Coppie and Paste.

This week, Gap in Expertise plays Dungeons and Dragons! I know right?! It's about time. This is a long one so we've divided them into 4 parts. Below is the intro to our journey through Ossetia. Enjoy! 4:32: Intro to Ossetia (yes I pronounced it wrong in the intro) 8:32: Cresthaven Tavern 20:11: An Offer For Adventure 34:20: To Falshire! 53:50: Circling the Wagon Welcome to Ossetia. This continent is divided both my dangerous terrain and political powers. The Arathi foothills bisect the continent in the south while the Kel’nia marsh lands divide it to the north. To the east lay the blasted lands of the infernal expanse overrun with all manner of beasts and terrors; to the northeast lies the unclaimed wilds of the Valenwood Forest. A haven for those who choose to live a more uncivilized lifestyle. Our story however begins in western Ossetia. It is the year 828 PC post calamity. This year marks the centennial of the final battle of the War of shadow. 100 long years ago War raged in the lands of the west. A great host of orc, gnoll and demon spawn flooded forth from the infernal expanse, covering the lands of the west in a sea of carnage and destruction. Under the direction of the great elven warrior Aldrith Othgard, the 5 nation states of the west forged an alliance to combat the unstoppable host. This was known as the Othgard accord Lead by Othgard and his Legion of the Sun, the 5 nations turned the tide of the war and eventually pushed the evil host eastward back through the Jordash passes and finally crushing them in one final blow on the plains of the infernal expanse itself. Ending the war and ensuring all that was good and holy remained in the west Following the end of the war, again at the direction of Othgard, a counsel of mages and wizards was formed. Elected by the citizenry of the nations this group of learned men became known as the Counsel of the Moon. Their first act ; to create the great floating city state of Skyhold the crown jewel of Western Ossetia Under the Accord the nations are generally left to their own devices. All are encouraged to live and govern as they did before the war. The Legion and Counsel take only a small tithe of what you produce and earn. In exchange, the counsel acts as mediators or judges, settling land disputes and trade agreements, as well as sentencing those who break the laws. The legion acts as the peacekeepers; Enforcing the laws, patrolling the borders and ensuring the roads are safe for travel and open trade. The Accord has lead to a time of relative freedom and prosperity over the last century. However, tensions now brew between the nations. Old rivalries and past bigotries forgotten during the war have taken root once again. Rumors of military clashes at the borders of Ill’irion and Gervior as well as caravan raids as far west as Ju’Desh have many folk on edge. Some say the Accord hangs by a thread and that civil war is inevitable. Our story however begins much smaller. Here in the central nation of Allendor beyond the entrance to the Gulgarg valley lies the village of Cresthaven. Nestled on the banks of a small branch of the Dellwine River, this small fishing village has enjoyed relative peace and freedom from the politics of Skyhold. To its east and south acres of rolling hills of farmland. To the North the spattering of trees and ferns marking the beginning of the Birchbloom forest. The moonrise road cuts the village in half, leading westward towards Morrowdale, Falshire and eventually Skyhold itself. It is late afternoon and the sun sits in the sky to the west . Fishermen and farmers bustle about the small market in the center of the village gathering their unsold wares and heading to their homes mostly dotted around the outskirts of Cresthaven. From the east you see two figures appear on the horizon. One towering over the other. They slowly stroll through town towards the largest building in the market square. Above the sturdy door of the building a small sign lazily swings in the wind. It’s a picture of a young man asleep on a riverbank, a fishing pole thrown haphazardly next to him. As the figures approach the wooden door of the establishment the sound of laugher and music can be heard from within.
International Tribe is a new weekly mix series hosted by Thris Tian. This week’s International Tribe mix comes from Juju & Jordash. Juju & Jordash first combined forces back in the mid-90s through weekly be-bop jams. Learning their ways through various jazz and experimental combos, the duo began to put out records back in 2004 and have been playing live, releasing music and djing with each other ever since. With releases on labels such as Dekmantel, Golf Channel Recordings, and on Workshop and Off Minor Recordings as Magic Mountain High, the pair have recently released Slack Trax Vol.1 on their own imprint Slack Trax. For their International Tribe mix, the duo utilises the freedom of home recording to trial out a selection of tracks they haven’t been able to test out yet, with cuts from Jeff Mills, Will DiMaggio, STL and more.

Juju & Jordash have been one of the most prolific and impressive duos of recent times. The pair made up of Jordan and Gal has now released four standout LPs, play truly live and mesmeric live shows around the world, work with Move D as Magic Mountain High and also have various accomplished solo projects. Of course, they are regulars on our Dekmantel label, and always conjure up emotive, complex and stirring machine made sounds from another galaxy. Now they have given us a special live recording for our next podcast. It is taken from their live show at iBoat, and as ever is a completely improvised session that finds them playing keys, synths and drum machines and jamming fluidly throughout. Switching up the sounds and styles as they go, the tempo varies subtly and the end result is an absorbing soundtrack that tells many a musical tale. From outlier electronics to jacking house, it always retains an impeccable sense of melody and majesty that is hard not to love.
What do KINK, Juju & Jordash and Toby Tobias have in common? Apart from being awesome electronic musicians and performers, they have all released on Croatias outstanding techno and house label Burek. And behind this exciting and ever consistent Label stands Pytzek and his partner Mislav. He's a producer himself, and an exceptionally busy DJ in Croatias scene, being based in Zagreb and playing the legendary Garden Festival for years (also the final one this summer!) Given his busy schedule, we're very happy to have been offered a mix by Pytzek to add to our luvcast series - great tunes to get us all pumped for spring! https://soundcloud.com/pytzek https://soundcloud.com/burek
Chubby! on Facebook: www.facebook.com/chubbyrecords Slowburn on Facebook: www.facebook.com/pages/Slowburn/167730576584402 @slow_burn Slowburn are Phillip Long and David Hargadon, an Irish duo with an analogue sound palette that extends all the way to vintage Chicago, Detroit and New York planes. Much like their alias suggests, the pair are on a measured but magical rise through the underground ranks, and have been since meeting in the booth a few years ago. First introduced to one another in Dublin (at a night where Phil was warming up for Dave), they soon realised their shared plenty of common musical ground, and since then they’ve been churning out an impressive array of productions with considerable success. Lakuti’s much-revered Uzuri label soon came calling, eventually playing host to Slowburn’s rich and varied sound alongside scene luminaries such as Chicago Skyway, Juju & Jordash and Ksoul & Muteoscillator. A string of releases followed soon after, as the boys followed up on their auspicious start with releases for the likes of Lunar Disko, Apartment,Elecktrosouls, Austere and Appian Sounds as well as on a compilation for the always on-point Grounded in Humanity imprint where they appeared alongside Trax legend, Gene Hunt. “When we make music, we just try and capture the mood at that moment,” say the pair. “We never set out to make anything in particular and we just jam and take things as they come. I guess we usually try to have a strong sense of melody with our pads and always try to and keep a good flow.” When working together in the DJ booth, Slowburn also share a fine understanding of dancefloor dynamics and infectious groove, and have brought their intricate sounds to a host of seminal Irish festivals as well as Manchester’s DEAF Institute. Always joining the dots between the old and the new, Slowburn are a duo with a deep understanding of the discerning side of house and techno. As bright has been their journey to date, Slowburn are only really getting started. A genuinely impressive proposition for fans of connoisseur house sounds, you can expect to hear much more from them over the next few months. Chubby! on Facebook: www.facebook.com/chubbyrecords @stump-valley Pretty mysterious but that’s not the appeal. Super diverse stylistically, but that’s not it either! – indeed you’ll uncover little about Stump Valley using the well worn tool of the internet, but what you do after hearing all of their tracks on the dancefloor, is chilling out and listen to them again.”`Jordan Czamanski (Juju & Jordash, Off Minor Rec. Owner) - From an interview for Rush Hour Store in Amsterdam. Raised from the ashes of an old project, Stump Valley is a funny old place in the countryside by the forest, where deers and boars run free in the street, that’s the place where the most of S.V. music was made. After years of djing and producing under different monikers, we decided to move our home studio and the collection of vinyls to sample, to a place with no internet and no tv. We lived there for 2 years producing music, trying to make something out of time, old sounding but modern conceived. When we decided there was enough material, we just put it online and in a space of time we would never expect, the most of the material was subscribed to labels. In every release we use to have remixes with the alias Mtrpls, which is our urban side that takes us back in the streets where we grown up. Spinning records is our main thing, deep into the last 30 years of electronic. INTERVIEW > www.inverted-audio.com/magic-mountain-high Magic Mountain High is a collaboration between David Moufang aka Move D, Gal Aner and Jordan Czamanski aka Juju & Jordash. As Magic Mountain High they've released one record on Workshop Records entitled 'Workshop xx', which was recorded a year ago at Move D's studio. All three tracks are based on live jams and improvisations in the studio, similar to how Magic Mountain High perform on stage, but made shorter so as to fit on vinyl. Ahead of Magic Mountain High's London performance on Saturday 9th March for Phonica and ReviveHER alongside Vakula and Maurice Fulton we caught up with Gal and Jordan for a short interview, where we discuss Freerotation, their live setup and how they manage to work together despite geographical differences. This Inverted Audio mix is a recording of the trio playing live at Panoramabar in September 2012, with guest vocals by Eric D Clark and when we say live, we mean 100% live, no cheats, no edits just the plain truth.
