Kadesh Flow is one of over 60 acts that will be performing on one of the five stages at Boulevardia this weekend in downtown Kansas City around Crown Center (where parking is FREE for this weekend). We play NEW stuff from KC musicians. KC bands and musicians keep recording great music and sending it in, so we're going to keep sharing it with you!We have a little fun at the top of the show, celebrating the Chiefs advancing in the NFL Playoffs and talk about their support of KC music. Kadesh Flow is a son and an MC and a trombonist and a fantastic human being who was kind enough to sit with me for a spell so that he could share a bit about both himself and a few of his favorite records. We touched on the following:Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, Elton John (1973)Lupe Fiasco's Food & Liquor, Lupe Fiasco (2006)Trombone Shorty's Backatown (2010)My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, Kanye West (2010)Kendrick Lamar's To Pimp a Butterfly (2015)If you wanna learn more about Kadesh, you should Google him. He's on the socials, he's got a Bandcamp, and a YouTube page. Find out where he's gigging with one of his many outfits. Buy/stream some of his music. Get yourself some merch'.Seriously. It was righteous to see him on stage and a treat to have him in the chair, so please check out our conversation.copyright disclaimer: I do not own the rights to the intro/outro audio. They are samples from a track called "Who Are You?" off of Karl Denson's Dance Lesson, No. 2 album (2001), c/o Blue Note Records.

On this show we celebrate Black History Month!Every Saturday this month on The Bridge we have been collaborating with different Black artists from Kansas City and handing over their airwaves to them, letting them share nine songs from nine acts that changed their life, it's called "Nine From Nine." For the 8160 this week I'm flipping that on its head, and I'm going to play my favorite song from these nine Kansas City acts and then run through the list of acts that changed their lives. On the show we'll hear from Reach, Radkey, Brass & Boujee, Sam Wells, FlareThaRebel, Jass, We The People featuring Eddie Moore, Kadesh Flow, and Paris Williams. Also, I wanted to plug this Saturday, February 26 three of the acts on the show will talk about and play music from acts that changed their lives:Eddie Moore 9AMKadesh Flow 10AMParis Williams 11AMAt the end of the show today I also take a minute to give some love to Kansas City's own Morgan Cooper. Morgan Cooper is the creator, writer, and director of the new TV series Bel-Air on Peacock TV. It's a re-imagined, new take on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. A few years ago you could find Morgan Cooper gigging around town at hip hop shows with this project, Barrel Maker and Lion Maker and he also did freelance work at The Bridge, filming different in-studio sessions. Now he's in LA and he's changing the game. On Bel-Air he's playing music from KC acts, he's showing off KC music as the actors walk through record stores, and he's showing off artwork on the set of the show from KC artists like Warren 'stylez' Harvey. Much love to Morgan for showing off his hometown!
We dive deeper into the lineup for the 7th annual Boulevardia 2022! This year the fest will feature 70 acts playing on four stages, along with a silent disco all taking place on Grand Blvd around Crown Center. The massive lineup was revealed last Wednesday and on the show today we'll dig a little deeper, talk about, and play music from some acts on the fest.Hear music from Saxsquatch, Lauren Sanderson, Kadesh Flow and Jessica Paige (aka Deshica Rage), The Pharcyde, Giovannie & The Hired Guns, Dayglow, and Daisy the Great. Also hear brand new music from Hembree, Paris Williams, Rockababy Rock (aka David Lee), and out of St. Louis, Seashine.
We kick off the show with a couple celebratory anthems for the Chiefs and then work our way into new releases and recent submissions from great KC musicians!I'm sure your week will be filled with stories about Sunday night's amazing victory, so I thought we would take a minute and play a couple songs to celebrate that unbelievable win. After that we jump into new and recent releases from several KC area acts, including Ezmerelda (featuring Kianna White and Cale Parks), Shawn M. Stewart, Galactique Acid, Lonnie Fisher, Cumulostratus, Far Down (we read about them on Shuttlecock Music Magazine's blog), Hembree, The Creepy Jingles, Kadesh Flow and we hear from Trevor Turla's forthcoming album.
Musician Ryan Davis — known to fans as Kadesh Flow — didn't just survive a brutal year. The hip-hop performer is climbing up from a low place feeling stronger, more joyful, and more deserving of love than before.
On this show we celebrate one of our favorite holidays of the year, it's Mark Manning Day! Mark Manning is our friend and DJ from KKFI 90.1 FM, a couple clicks down the dial from us.Every year he hosts an amazing BEST OF list on his radio show, the Wednesday MidDay Medley, where for 17 years he's been sharing great music from KC musicians and beyond. Every Wednesday in December from 10AM-noon he will host his “120 Favorite Recordings of 2021.”On our show this week we get a sneak peek of some of the acts that are on his impressive list. On the show we hear from Riley The Musician, True Lions, Claire Adams, Knife Crime, Effie, Cuee, Kadesh Flow, FlareThaRebel, Monta At Odds, and The Roseline. We also have some great music conversations that every music nerd will enjoy.
Beaming all the way in from Belgium we have nerdcore emcee Ryako, who combines electronica and hip hop for some slick sci-fi raps. She won this year's Nerdcore VPC with Kadesh flow and will be performing this Saturday on Virtua Ongaku 11. Musician Ryan Davis — known to fans as Kadesh Flow — didn't just survive a brutal year. The hip-hop performer is climbing up from a low place feeling stronger, more joyful, and more deserving of love than before.

On this episode we kick off a 4-part series of shows called SOUND MINDS. Every year on the show we dedicate the month of July to a series of shows, and this year as our lives adjust to a new normal, and as our musician community was hit so hard during the pandemic, this might be our most important series yet! Every Tuesday this month The Bridge's Content Manager Michelle Bacon joins the show. Back in March she researched and developed a survey dealing with musicians and mental health. Over 165 musicians replied and with this data and other research and we discuss her findings on the show. Also, this week we reached out to some KC Musicians with upcoming gigs and asked if they had a song in their catalog dealing with this topic that we could play AND we asked them for a few sentences about the back story of the song. We hear from Katy Guillen and The Drive, Miguel Antonio, Crystal Rose, Kadesh Flow, and Nicole Springer and share the story behind each song we play.

The boys have a great conversation with otaku rapper and trombone player, Kadesh Flow. Topics covered include the new film Judas and the Black Messiah, what anime character would we like to see have a rap career, white liberalism and more.
Kadesh Flow is an independent Nerdcore hip-hop artist and trombonist out of Kansas City, Missouri, and his Thanksgiving week may be a solid contender for "worst week ever." In spite of life hitting him like a mack truck that week, and this whole year like all of us, he remains focused on all the blessings life has brought him. Never wavering in his drive and determination to achieve the success he's worked so hard for.Desh tells his story— of knowing his purpose, following his intuition, staying motivated, and outworking everybody to the point that the door of opportunity is compelled to open for him. This episode is sponsored by Bill Beats of [link|https://noirgrime.com/beats|noirgrime.com/beats]. He’s the man to go to when you need any kind of beats or mixing/mastering for your next project. When you pick up some beats in his store today, enter promo code NODBALL at checkout and receive 10% off your entire order!
The versatile musician, rapper, emcee, trombonist, producer Kadesh Flow stopped by the show to talk about his numerous endeavors! He also dropped a dope freestyle LIVE on air!!!!! Of course, he discussed this week's hot topics including the petition against Michael Vick, Lizzo twerking at Lakers game, TI handling of his daughter and soooo much more.
