We all start somewhere! 0:00 - The marketing for Ebenezer is... silly 8:50 - The marketing for Matchbox is... silly 17:20 - Recovering from the stream crash 20:45 - The MCU movies have a pretty good batting average 1:04:57 - Sometimes social media demonstrates at least surface level media literacy! If you missed Saturday's live broadcast of Molehill Mountain, you can watch the video replay on YouTube. (A technical issue forced me to split the stream in two. Second part here.) Alternatively, you can catch audio versions of the show on iTunes. Molehill Mountain streams live at 7p PST every Saturday night! Credits: Molehill Mountain is hosted by Andrew Eisen. Chat Transcript: 6:57 PM@jaredknisely6213is anything your style 7:16 PM@bryangillis1362Hello all, happy Saturday! 7:16 PM@bryangillis1362Ugh, sorry to hear about all the stream troubles 7:18 PM@jaredknisely6213its only 20 min worth a try to see if if works 7:18 PM@jaredknisely621320 in 7:24 PM@bryangillis1362Hello again 7:25 PM@jaredknisely6213yes yes 7:27 PM@jaredknisely6213needs to be at 50 is in you need pay for that but thats more money 7:29 PM@jaredknisely6213if you can only switch off the worst isp in the us 7:33 PM@jaredknisely6213phase 2 is were you should compare, its unfair to compare to phase 1 7:33 PM@jaredknisely6213phase 1 is the best then 3 lastly 2 7:34 PM@jaredknisely6213phase 1 has 3 of the best superhero films ever made 7:37 PM@bryangillis1362Definitely my tastes are changing, but I was an adult the whole way through. I think it's more than I just got enough of it and wanted something different 7:39 PM@LeeShowronsHey 7:40 PM@jaredknisely6213i dont enjoy anything of modern disney 7:40 PM@addictedtochaos2Captain America: The Winter Soldier is the best of the MCU 7:41 PM@cat_woehey Andrew, I also thought the MCU movies were meh overall, but I remember having fun with Thor Ragnarok in particular 7:46 PM@addictedtochaos2Winter Soldier is a political thriller with superheroes in it. 7:46 PM@bryangillis1362Arguably She-Hulk is an outright comedy with superheroes 7:49 PM@LeeShowronsThey are on Toy story five already. And the first Toy story has been around since 1995. I thought toy story would be done for by now. 7:49 PM@bryangillis1362Live-action remakes can be done well. One Piece is a great example, largely because it does a lot of work to fix the issues with the original series while maintaining the spirit 7:53 PM@jaredknisely6213still dont know why you dont like the clone wars 7:55 PM@addictedtochaos2The New Jedi Order series of books killed my love of Star Wars. 7:55 PM@jaredknisely6213that was last jedi for me 7:56 PM@LeeShowronsI know Star Wars seemed better when Disney didn't own it 7:56 PM@addictedtochaos2Nothing noticeable on this end. 7:56 PM@jaredknisely6213there hasnt been a buffer since the change 7:58 PM@bryangillis1362Madisyyn or something 7:58 PM@addictedtochaos2The worst live action adaptation I've seen is Dragon Ball Evolution. 8:01 PM@LeeShowronspeople would disagree with that people think the live action in Mario movie is the worst 8:01 PM@addictedtochaos2I haven't seen Mario. 8:04 PM@jaredknisely6213thats where we differ, the prequels are awesome the sequels are trash and rogue one is also awesome 8:04 PM@addictedtochaos2George Lucas is a great storyteller in terms of big picture, but he needs someone to fine tune it, especially with scripts. 8:09 PM@LeeShowronswell, since it's been that long ago, he's gonna be an adult by now. I wonder if he'll remember that. 8:22 PM@jaredknisely6213i was 5 when ep 2 came out thats why i like it more than i should 8:28 PM@bryangillis1362Like how you now say Trails is better than Dragon Quest, but DW is still your favourite 8:28 PM@bryangillis1362*DQ 8:28 PM@bryangillis1362Not that DQ is bad obviously 8:30 PM@bryangillis1362See you tomorrow!

Hip Hop? 7:16 PM@addictedtochaos2At least you weren't like my idiot coworker who climbed up the warehouse racking and fell, fracturing his hip. 7:16 PM@eathdemonsounds like you should go see a doctor lol 7:16 PM@jaredknisely6213$$$$ 7:17 PM@Sheekago@addictedtochaos2 please tell that co worker didn't file workman's comp. 7:17 PM@jaredknisely6213perks of being at a physical gym and not a home gym 7:17 PM@addictedtochaos2I have no idea. 7:18 PM@addictedtochaos2Climbing the racking is a big no-no. That is what the forklifts are for. 7:22 PM@eathdemonI mean anyone shocked physical media is dying? im not lol 7:22 PM@addictedtochaos2PlayStation is still dead to me. 7:22 PM@Sheekago@eathdemon shocked? No. Disappointed, yes. 7:24 PM@eathdemonhate to be the debi downer here, but the era of mantaining 400 person teams are over. in the future it will be scaling up/down/ outsourcing/contracting. its not economicly rational 7:25 PM@eathdemon 7:25 PM@Sheekago***DLC not included 7:25 PM@Sheekago****Just give us your money, damn it 7:26 PM@jaredknisely6213thats my fav when they ack you to buy something for 100's of $$$ and they cant even give you a copy of the game 7:26 PM@addictedtochaos2You either die as Sega or you live long enough to see yourself become PlayStation. 7:26 PM@eathdemontbf they did that b/c embracer gabled up all the support studios 7:27 PM@jaredknisely6213its more than that, those studios where give years and a lot of moeny to do something which a good amount like 90 percent of them wasted 7:28 PM@jaredknisely6213only the Doom devs did something with those resources 7:28 PM@addictedtochaos2PlayStation's downfall began when Jim Ryan was placed in charge, and while he no longer is, we are now seeing the effects. 7:28 PM@SheekagoLook at vinyl records. They became niche and now they're making a come back. 7:30 PM@SheekagoThat's true. It's all about control. Those cars with heated seat "subscriptions". They're trying to get rid of Android or Apple on their cars and create their own OS to lease to us. 7:31 PM@addictedtochaos2Their first party games actually sell more physical copies, but it comes down to maximizing profits. Nothing else. 7:31 PM@eathdemonalso I cant say shit since all my games are on steam, so digital lol 7:32 PM@jaredknisely6213[message retracted] 7:33 PM@jaredknisely6213its the by-product of the gaming industry cancer that fortnite popularized 7:34 PM@jaredknisely6213we like show and tell 7:38 PM@eathdemoncasting your mind back in to the abyss :) 7:38 PM@jaredknisely6213crab rav 7:40 PM@addictedtochaos2Sony dominated the PS1 and PS2 eras and that lead to the PS3, and while they did rebound, it wasn't as successful. Xbox shot themselves in the foot with the Xbox One reveal and never really recovered. 7:41 PM@addictedtochaos2Which lead to Sony dominating the PS4 and PS5 eras and had lead to their arrogance now. 7:42 PM@eathdemonthanks for making me feel old lol 7:42 PM@addictedtochaos2The game was Genji 7:46 PM@addictedtochaos2The first Genji was on PS2 and was quite good. 7:47 PM@eathdemonthe ps2 and 360 era was heavily contract based 7:48 PM@addictedtochaos2If you mean Mr. Caffeine it was the Ubisoft presentation. 7:50 PM@AndrewEisenSorry folks. The stream is just disconnecting and reconnecting. I'll give it a few minutes and see if it stops. 7:51 PM@addictedtochaos2I can see you moving 7:51 PM@addictedtochaos2But no sound 7:51 PM@addictedtochaos2Now I can hear you. 7:53 PM@addictedtochaos2The Wii U wasn't arrogance, it was more just Nintendo misread the market. 7:57 PM@AndrewEisenAnd here we go again with the damn disconnects. 7:58 PM@eathdemonI mean it could be restream getting slammed b/c its the weekend 7:58 PM@jaredknisely6213just a thought have you tried obs? 7:59 PM@AndrewEisenI'm using OBS. I'm just using restream so that I can stream to both YouTube and Twitch on Sundays. Maybe I need to stream the Sunday night podcast directly to YouTube. 7:59 PM@AndrewEisenSaturday night podcast, I mean. 8:00 PM@eathdemonI think its possable its just high ussage on restreams end 8:01 PM@AndrewEisenIt doesn't appear to be my connection so that appears most likely. I've been using Restream for years and only had this problem in the last couple months. 8:02 PM@AndrewEisenOkay, well. Long story short. That anime is one joke over and over but I kept laughing at it. I don't know how it's going to maintain an entire series but I guess we'll see. 8:03 PM@jaredknisely6213from the internet reading i see its a restream thing 8:03 PM@AndrewEisenI'm ending the podcast. Hope to see you all tomorrow for Cold Steel III. 8:03 PM@jaredknisely6213would take more than a few mins of reading to see the main issue

Welcome to Movie Mandates, a review show in which sibling cinephiles Andrew and Keleigh force each other to watch movies according to a monthly theme! Dinosaurs month concludes with Keleigh's mandated movie: ONE OF OUR DINOSAURS IS MISSING! A very not racist Disney movie from the 1975 fearing a large cast of Chinese characters played by white guys! Except for that one dude way in the background. See him? No, not that one. That's a white guy in yellowface too. A bit to the left. Nope that's also a white guy. Further to the left. Yeah, there he is! Now, before you start bringing out the pitchforks, remember, China wasn't discovered until 1978 and Disney felt really bad when they learned that they could have been using Chinese actors this whole time. If only they'd known of their existence! 0:00 - Trivial Trivia 4:23 - One Of Our Dinosaurs Is Missing review 59:31 - Next episode's mandated movie We'll be back in two weeks with another mandated movie. Chat Transcript: 6:58 PM@addictedtochaos2PlayStation is dead to me. 6:58 PM@jaredknisely6213is it 90 pls in san diego too? 6:59 PM@addictedtochaos2It was 105 here yesterday, but a storm just came through and now it is 70. 6:59 PM@addictedtochaos2My bedroom is 95 7:00 PM@addictedtochaos2I spent all day at the movies yesterday just to beat the heat. 7:03 PM@addictedtochaos2Just got a commercial mid-sentence 7:04 PM@addictedtochaos2I wanted GTA VI, but no physical edition is an absolute dealbreaker. 7:05 PM@jaredknisely6213im not suprised by the steam machine price/my ssd that i bought in jan of last year 4x'ed in price 7:12 PM@addictedtochaos2It is almost certainly the case. 7:13 PM@addictedtochaos2From how they had it worded, it sounds like there are in game missions and activities locked to the ultimate edition. 7:16 PM@addictedtochaos2I'm buying the Godzilla remaster instead, it comes out on the same day as GTA. 7:17 PM@jaredknisely6213OT will probably be a holiday release 7:18 PM@jaredknisely6213you can blame sony for that choice 7:19 PM@jaredknisely6213rockstar knew 7:21 PM@jaredknisely6213on the other hand, the OS is open source 7:21 PM@addictedtochaos2The industry will price itself to extinction. 7:21 PM@jaredknisely6213which is awesome 7:22 PM@jaredknisely6213steam said, build your own here's the code 7:29 PM@addictedtochaos2Was interested in the Steam machine, as I don't have a gaming PC, then they announced the price and my interest died immediately. 7:34 PM@addictedtochaos2The proprietary component cables were for GameCube, the Wii supported 3rd party cables. 7:35 PM@jaredknisely6213i bought the switch in 2020 and got odyssey last week 7:36 PM@addictedtochaos2The gaming industry as a whole disgusts me lately. 7:38 PM@jaredknisely6213i still havent got the game yet 7:38 PM@addictedtochaos2I get that they are a business and need to be profitable, but the unending greed is just too much. 7:38 PM@jaredknisely6213could ask you to play dusk bloods 7:39 PM@jaredknisely6213 7:57 PM@addictedtochaos2According to sales data PlayStation's first party games tend to sell more physical rather digital. 7:57 PM@addictedtochaos2I'm not buying a PS6 either. 7:58 PM@addictedtochaos2Purely a spreadsheet move. 7:59 PM@addictedtochaos2My backlog of 5,000+ games will last me the rest of my life. 8:00 PM@addictedtochaos2Shelly long 8:02 PM@addictedtochaos2Upside the president of Nintendo did say that the goal isn't just to increase digital sales, but game sales overall, including physical games. 8:02 PM@jaredknisely6213but the switch as physical stuff 8:03 PM@addictedtochaos2Should buy one before another price increase. 8:03 PM@jaredknisely6213and a little less scummy than sony 8:04 PM@addictedtochaos2I think the Switch 2 version contains the Switch 1 version as well. 8:05 PM@addictedtochaos2There are also plenty of Switch games that play better on Switch 2 8:18 PM@addictedtochaos2Thankfully transferring data from Switch 1 to 2 is easy and straightforward.

Welcome to Movie Mandates, a review show in which sibling cinephiles Andrew and Keleigh force each other to watch movies according to a monthly theme! We're closing out The Streisand Effect with a movie that did not want people paying attention to it for the reason people were paying attention to it. Due to workplace safety issues, cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was shot and killed with a prop gun wielded by actor Alec Baldwin during the production. Understandably, that tragedy is the only thing many people know about the film and the only thing that many people talk about regarding the film. And that includes us. But other than that, Mr. Lincoln, how was the play? 0:00 - Trivial Trivia 9:58 - Rust review 59:14 - Next episode's mandated movie We'll be back in two weeks with another mandated movie. Five Nights At Freddy's 2 is a movie so bad it might be a while before I can stop thinking about it. In fact, there are no timestamps this week because I somehow spend the entire hour yammering about a movie I didn't even like. (anamated one) 7:13 PM@jaredknisely6213Incredibles and despicable me are to name a few 7:14 PM@eathdemonsory for your lose (your limited life span) 7:16 PM@eathdemontbf I waited for gozilia minus one to hit netdlix 7:16 PM@jaredknisely6213or you could be sociable and go your local theatre and not your local car 7:18 PM@starman9988i love fnaf 7:19 PM@starman9988this is going to be hard, I love the games, Hated the movies because of the sequel 7:26 PM@eathdemonnope you fail, its price is right rules :) 7:27 PM@starman9988Its a shame that your learning the story from the movies. Five Nights at Freddys has very strong characters, a dark and twisted story and great world building. 7:27 PM@eathdemonclosset, but not going over, you guessed 145, it was 144 7:27 PM@starman9988withereds 7:30 PM@starman9988In the movies, the puppet is killed by springtrap late at night, in a dark alleyway. Springtrap was a trusted family friend who would of never gotten caught. The movie made his murder so silly 7:32 PM@starman9988in the games* 7:43 PM@starman9988That scene where foxy almost attacks mike is a recreation of a parody animation. Not kidding. 7:44 PM@starman9988the ending scene when the classics destroy the toys is a reference to a meme called "We are FNAF", which is a parody on Marvel Writing. 7:45 PM@starman9988William Afton 7:46 PM@addictedtochaos2William Atherton was Walter Peck in Ghostbusters. 7:46 PM@starman9988ahh Andrew loves ghostbusters that makes sense lmao 7:48 PM@starman9988all the ghost children go to heaven, they were being possed by the evil energy of springtrap. (I hate these movies) 7:49 PM@addictedtochaos2I was 12 years old in 8th grade. 7:52 PM@starman9988The FNAF Movies need to be made by Tim Burton 7:54 PM@starman9988The Ghost Child is the leader of the ghost children, Golden Freddy 7:54 PM@starman9988he is the angriest victim 7:55 PM@addictedtochaos2I did not 7:55 PM@starman9988the video games kept the story very vague, so the fandom filled in the gaps and it made for a very compelling story. Unfortunately the movies are very bad in my opinion 7:57 PM@starman9988that scene was directly influenced from a meme that makes fun of Marvel Writing (We are FNAF) 7:58 PM@starman9988Five Nights at Freddys 3 is planned to be a R rated gorey movie based on Spring Trap as a main antaganist. 8:00 PM@starman9988Have different characters, and have a sprit that traps people at the tower 8:00 PM@starman9988the games are gorey, they are just 8bit
