This week I found myself in Beamsville at the Maison Mason with winemaker Kelly Mason talking about (that extra 3 hours it would seem she needs to add to each day) just to get it all done! We talked and tasted very delicious wines. Also, former editor of Creem Magazine, Dave Di Martino talks about all things rock.
Winemaker, vineyard manager and the owner of Mason Vineyard, Kelly Mason is back on the podcast! Such a fun interview with a winemaker who truly puts all of herself into her wine. Kelly has the unique skill of humanizing the world of winemaking and her work ethic will blow you away. A must listen episode.
Today on the show I have Kelly Mason. She is the creator of Spindle and Co and Flock. Flock is an online membership and community for creative spinners who care deeply about the planet. Trust me when I tell ya you're going to love my interview with winemaker (Domaine Queylus & Mason Vineyard) Kelly Mason. I ask her what she loves the most and hates the most about Pinot Noir, her answer is hilarious and would not be allowed on terrestrial radio. Kelly is one of the most talented winemakers in Ontario … she has a cult following! Also, the wines of Domaine Queylus should dispel the idea that paying $40 for a bottle of Ontario wine is too much. These are wildly high-quality wines.
Welcome to High Fibre! In this very first episode, you will get to meet me, hi, I'm Kelly Mason, and get a glimpse into all the fiber fun we're about to have! I'll be telling you a little bit about myself and also explaining why I believe aligning your personal values with your spinning practice is the key to feeling amazing! We'll talk about 'high vibes' and what they are, and how we can use this concept to guide us towards finding our very own 'high fibre', you know, that fiber that makes your heart grow a few sizes every time you touch it? You can email me kelly@spindleandcompany.com,au anytime with questions or feedback, or visit my website for more information www.spindleandcompany.com.au and thank you again so very much for listening.
Remember the spinning wheel in the fairy tale, Sleeping Beauty? Seems pretty old-fashioned right? But based on my conversation with my friend, Kelly Mason, I'm feeling quite the opposite. There are so many benefits to this beautiful art and Kelly tells us all about it. From environmental to mental wellness, I was overwhelmed (in a good way) by how positive an impact the art of spinning can have. Kelly's energy is beautiful throughout: full of joy, love and curiosity… we could have talked for hours!
