In this exclusive After the Show conversation, Damon Frank and guest Meegan go deeper into what it really means to forgive. We live in a culture that wants everything fast — but healing doesn't happen on demand. Forgiveness isn't a one-and-done event; it's a process that takes time, reflection, and a willingness to grow. This is a public episode. If you'd like to discuss this with other subscribers or get access to bonus episodes, visit www.recoveredlife.tv/subscribe
In this episode of the Recovered Life Show, Damon Frank sits down with guest Meegan to explore one of the most powerful — and challenging — parts of recovery: forgiveness.Resentment can feel like a stumbling block, keeping us tied to the past and stuck in pain. But as Meegan shares from her own experience, forgiveness opens the door to healing, freedom, and deeper connection — not just with others, but with ourselves.Together, we talk about:Why resentment is such a common roadblock in recoveryHow forgiveness transforms our personal growthThe process of rebuilding trust and letting go, one step at a timePractical ways to invite more peace into your recovery journeyForgiveness isn't easy, but as you'll hear, it can be the very thing that sets you free.
On the Kenny & JT Show we're joined by Ryan Meegan, co-founder and CMO of Dude Wipes. The men's personal care brand will be sponsoring not only the “Tush Push, but also the Cleveland Browns all-brown uniforms.
Writing Embodiment in Victorian Microscopy: Beautiful Mechanism (Oxford UP, 2025) by Dr. Meegan Kennedy examines a revolutionary period in microscopical technology and practice. At first considered a mere toy, by 1900 the microscope rivaled the railway and telegraph as an emblem of modernity and enjoyed an astonishing diversity of applications. This technology could drive scientific debates on subjects like cell theory, vitalism, and bacteriology; guide workers in classrooms, laboratories, and businesses; and inspire a personal hobby or a mass entertainment. Victorian microscopy productively cuts across the ostensibly separate domains of science, religion, commerce, art, education, entertainment, and domestic life.Writing Embodiment in Victorian Microscopy reads nineteenth-century microscopy across scientific, literary, religious, and popular texts. It argues that Victorian microscopists saw their vision and cognition as fully embodied experiences, the images emerging through a material entanglement of bodies (observer, instrument, apparatus, object) in a dynamic, unstable system. These ideas echo the work of physiological psychologists, who proposed mind as a system of embodied, distributed, and dynamic processes shaped by automatic or unconscious reflex action, attention, mental training, and fatigue. Striving to regulate this complex system, microscopists circulated tropes of embodiment through the varied forms of nineteenth-century print culture. They adapted existing concepts (such as beauty, the sublime, natural theology, and fairylands), or coined new phrases (such as many-sided comprehension), to promote favored forms of embodiment and enculturate microscopy as a difficult but valuable pursuit. Writing Embodiment draws on important work in book history and periodical studies by emphasizing the circulation of these tropes in intermedial conversations across diverse print forms.Victorians understood wonder and skepticism not as incommensurate approaches to scientific observation but rather as complementary forms of embodiment. Romantic tropes of wonder solicit affective flows from observer to wriggling animalcule and back; while skeptical, realist tropes offer to train the reader's eye, hand, body, and judgment and to formalize microscopical practice. Microscopical narratives may manipulate wonder and skepticism in productive tension or create virtual storyspaces that enlist the reader in virtual witnessing. These tropes shape every level of microscopical interest and proficiency. By analyzing their use and circulation, Writing Embodiment illuminates wider patterns of Victorian thought on embodiment, scientific practice, and community. This interview was conducted by Dr. Miranda Melcher whose book focuses on post-conflict military integration, understanding treaty negotiation and implementation in civil war contexts, with qualitative analysis of the Angolan and Mozambican civil wars. Brian Meegan follows capital flows around the market and sees A.I. and energy heating up while retail and real estate are cooling. He expects the energy demand story to take years to play out because of the time it takes to build infrastructure. “There's a lot of money to be made” in that industry and in health care. He also discusses how uncertainty is reshaping deal structures.======== Schwab Network ========Empowering every investor and trader, every market day. Tara Meegan is the Creative Director and a Lead Teacher with the Embodied Awakening Academy, a globally recognized Tantra school leading over 20,000 students worldwide in the realms of emotional, relational, and sexual mastery. For almost a decade, Tara has been devoted to living the philosophy of Tantra in every aspect of her life, passionately sharing this knowledge alongside her lived experiences. Now, you may be wondering, what is Tantra, and why is it valuable? Before I offer my take on it, I want to acknowledge that I asked myself the very same question when I was first exposed to Tantra over two years ago. At the time, I was seeking deeper resolution in my emotional, relational, and sexual life and it was in my very first introductory workshop where I met Tara. This ultimately propelled me into a deep journey over the past years into this field of work. As I see it, you may consider Tantra as a philosophy or way of living that embraces every aspect of the human experience and seeks to create a harmonious relationship with it—this includes areas where we may hold deep shame, fear, and insecurities, but also our desires, needs, and longings. Tantra can support us in working with these aspects of ourselves, rather than keeping them hidden away. I can confidently say that this philosophy has provided me with many valuable insights, among other things, and I was excited to bring Tara on board— who's now become aa dear friend and someone I deeply respect in this field. I've always admired Tara's devotion to this path and the way she embodies the feminine principle. And while I do see differences in our work, I honor them as complementary serving a similar purpose. In this conversation, Tara and I dive into what Tantra means to her and explore some of the core tenets that are particularly predominant in the Embodied Awakening Academy. From there, we discuss some of the difficulties that Tara observes among the male clients she serves, offering an in-depth roadmap for reconnecting with ourselves emotionally and cultivating resilience. Additionally, she shares some great insights on relationships and sexuality towards the end of our conversation—insights that I have greatly benefited from and that have served me well in my own life. — Connect with Tara: Website: https://embodiedawakeningacademy.com/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/tarameegan/?hl=de Find Out More about the "Embodied Awakening Academy: https://www.instagram.com/embodiedawakeningacademy/?hl=de Listen to the "Love, Sex & Freedom" Podcast: https://open.spotify.com/show/5kj89Q668brjHTY78pybgU?si=43254fe2c5d24bab Connect with Alex: Website: https://www.alexlehmann.co/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/alexlehmann_/?hl=en Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/@HeartofManPodcast/featured Email: alexlehmanncoaching@gmail.com Interested in working with me 1:1? Megan Conner has known her older cousin, Lori Vallow Daybell, all her life. They grew up within their tightly-knit, extended family in the context of the Mormon faith. Megan eloquently explains the roots of the triple murders which her cousin was found guilty of. This included the murder of Meegan's niece and nephew, Tylee Ryan, and Joshua "JJ" Jaxon Vallow at the hands of her cousin ("filicide"). The third conviction was for the homicide of Lori's last husband's wife, Tammy. Lori was sentenced to three consecutive life terms. (Lori faces two additional counts of conspiracy to commit murder related to the death of her fourth husband, Charles Vallow, and conspiring to kill her niece's ex-husband Brandon Boudreaux.)Lori's children went missing in 2019 which set off a national manhunt for their whereabouts. Lori was nick-named "Doomsday Mom" in the popular press due to her religious beliefs solidified in the Netflix documentary series "Sins of Our Mother."Today Megan speaks out in the hope that people will look upon the tragedy in her family as a cautionary tale. She urges others to speak the truth, heed warning signs and get outside help earlier rather than later.

With a distinguished career spanning over 25 years, Brian Meegan has been a formidable presence in corporate law, representing U.S. and multinational clients with finesse in a multitude of business transactions. His expertise encompasses M&A, business structuring, contract negotiation, and a suite of other corporate matters including real estate, financing, and governance. Brian's acumen has not only been recognized by his peers but also by prestigious rankings, with his former firm, Evergent Law, earning a spot among America's top law firms for corporate law in Colorado. What makes Brian's journey particularly compelling to me is his recent strategic decision to merge Evergent Law into Kupfer & Associates as of January 1, 2024 – a move that signifies a new chapter both for him and the firm. This merger marks an evolution of Kupfer & Associates including its rebranding to Kupfer., and solidifies Brian's role as my partner, joining forces to scale new heights. It is with immense pleasure and anticipation for the future that I introduce Brian Meegan as my partner at Kupfer. — as well as a guest on the first DealQuest podcast episode of 2024. The Human Element in Deal-MakingWhile contracts and legal framework are essential in deal-making, they are not sufficient to ensure successful partnerships and deals. Enter the human element of deal-making. Building trust, effective communication, and aligning expectations are crucial for establishing strong relationships between parties. Brian sees himself as a “freedom facilitator” for his clients. This means that he aims to help his clients achieve freedom through his legal counsel. He wants to assist them in navigating legal issues and finding solutions that allow them to have more freedom in their personal and professional lives. This makes Brian more than just an advisor who identifies risks and provides explanations. He engages in more personal conversations with his clients, understands their unique situations, and offers guidance based on his own experiences and perspectives. By doing so, he hopes to empower his clients to make informed decisions and take actions that align with their goals and values. Deal Structures and Risk MitigationDeal structures can change based on various factors, such as financing options and market conditions. Deal structuring includes a lot of technical aspects, but Brian believes it's important to get creative with deal structuring. After the COVID-19 pandemic began, we began to see more and more flexibility in deal-making. As the market conditions changed, both buyers and sellers had to be open to new ideas and approaches. This meant being willing to negotiate on price, structure, and terms to find mutually beneficial solutions. It required a high level of adaptability and a focus on building trust and strong relationships. The goal of risk mitigation is to protect the parties involved and increase the likelihood of a successful outcome. There is a need, however, to balance risk mitigation with the upside opportunity of the deal. Taking risks is often necessary for business success and, in fact, a business cannot thrive without some level of risk-taking. Staying creative in deal structures, as well as being confident and balanced in the risks you take is the epitome of the entrepreneurial mindset. These beliefs and practices of Brian's is just one of many reasons why I'm honored to be a partner with him in business. • • • For my full discussion with Brian Meegan, and more on this topic and topics not featured on this blog post:Listen to the Full DealQuest Podcast Episode Here• • • FOR MORE ON BRIAN MEEGAN:https://www.linkedin.com/in/briandmeegan/ Corey Kupfer is an expert strategist, negotiator, and dealmaker. Xavier will undoubtedly break the trend of gracing a Crypto Forbes Magazine cover without a proper visit to Frederick Fekkai. With his devastatingly charming accent and endless knowledge of every single protocol to have ever come into existence, it is clear why he has developed a cult like following of gen and degen crypto founders and VCs alike. Not only does he indulge my Real housewives of Crypto in Gstaad meets the Bell Curve wrapped in an unchained blended mix of call her daddy where's my bank line of questions, he educates me in the Je ne Sais Quoi of what staking actually is beyond cute rewards and network security. His explanation is high level enough that it would satisfy my psychiatrist' Bessel van der Kolking lack of understanding, yet low level enough that it is undoubtedly Vitalik Buterin approved Xavier hails from the great Continent of Adelaide Australia, and then was aristocratically classically educated in FinAnce in Milan post fascism. He then traveled the globe and found himself at an existential crisis: Shall I become a Wall Street wanker or dive deep head first into the throws of blockchain and decentralized finAncE et cetera ad nauseum. He found himself connecting with the mysterious and glamorous Felix Lutsch, the former Chief Commercial Officer of Chorus One, who has since left to pursue Low Fashion in High places and vice versa. Xavier stopped at nothing to join this unique, elegant, and what could only be described as a crypto native think thank that's operates validator node infrastructure and produces unstoppable MEV research for exchanges, custodians, wallets, foundations, VCs, Hedgefunds and UHNwI' alike. He joined as a Research Analyst before becoming Head of Research and then eventually crowned Chief Investment Officer where he is responsible for its multi milly dollar fund. Xavier and I have had a deeply complicated relationship. We first met for a candlelight dinner at the Core Club during a balmy night in DeFi Summer. It was here I laid my vapid attempt to convince him of my deep expertise in the Cosmos ecosystem, tokenized perpetual derivatives and of my elite DAO memberships of which I forged using my Nigerian Passport. Over a shared beef tartare, a 1984 bottle of Malbec and a side order of my mushed up Lexapro and vegemite, he appeared not the least bit convinced of my questionable skillset and resume covered in blood in sequins to illustrate a dark yet exciting work ethic. Nevertheless, Xavier, with his unpretentious intelligence comparable to a young John Stuart Mill and a keen eye to recognize obvious talent, was intrigued at what kind of dealflow I could bring him. I happened to not casually mention my wide circle of dear friends of Sultans and low tier Sequoia Analysts investing in web un deux et trois during all courses. Our (working) relationship has not been without the occasional screaming mascara tear streaked fight, replete with some blue in the face light foaming at the mouth. Yet we always come to an EIP resolution and he has tolerated my antics with the elegance of His Majesty. After all I do (mostly) deliver. Alas, I must zkrollup my sleeves ,save my histrionics for the stage and recognize the opportunity I have been hashtag blessed with. Xavier is a critical thinker, and a writer, of which well be seeing more of in the New Year. He is a sharp communicator, unique in the crypto space. His analyses of projects are not filled with nonsensical buzzwords and lack of substance, but instead with real examination from bottom of the blockchain. He is most bullish on Avalanche subnets, liquid staking, and Cosmos, and optimistically convinced he could shill the royal family on indulging some light Osmosis trading in between pheasant hunting. Xavier is the loveliest, the coolest, the smartest, and is going to set this next bull market ablaze. Enjoy the episode.

Episode 374 – Then go back again Today we have Meegan. She is 37, from Georgia, and took her last drink on April 21, 2019. Exact Nature: https://exactnature.com/RE 20 Highlights from Paul Addiction has the propensity to crack you open. We fight and dig our heels in, but eventually, the Addiction wins. This doesn't mean you are destined to drink forever, but the Addiction cracks you open. Paul encourages listeners to use their energy to find what recovery method works for them. When you find it, go back again to the beginning. You will find that the messages you heard early in recovery have different lessons for you later in recovery. Go back again. Listen to those podcasts again, read the quit lit again or recovery books again, and do the steps again. You are a different person with a new set of skills, experiences, and tools. Revisiting those messages often provides a new value bomb. Better Help: www.betterhelp.com/elevator - 10% off your first month [11:24] Meegan is a Family Nurse Practitioner and is married with three children. She loves running, snowboarding, and writing. Meegan describes a happy childhood until her parents had a tumultuous divorce, and it broke her heart. Life felt out of control. Meegan developed an eating disorder. She experimented with drinking in high school and described it as a rite of passage. Meegan made a few geographic moves for school. After a few moves, Meegan landed in Georgia, got married, and immediately had a baby. She was part of the Mommy wine culture. That was a lightbulb moment. She recognized that drinking with the baby at age 24 wasn't good. Wine calmed her down after dealing with the stress of night shifts. Meegan started having extreme panic attacks. Training for a 100-mile ultra-marathon made her drinking take a back burner. Her panic attacks subsided. At 30, she got pregnant with twins. Her father died around the same time, and it broke her. The stress of twins and her father's death caused her drinking to escalate. Value Bomb: You can be the best version of yourself or be hungover, but you can't be both. As her drinking progressed, her hangovers became more debilitating. During a trip to Europe, her solution to hangovers was to continue drinking.
