The rise in demand for places where people can live, work and spend their leisure time all within their local communities has led to a resurgence in the 15-minute community. The concept has been around for several years and, in short, seeks to rethink how communities are planned by focusing on reducing car-dependency and long commutes. It improves quality of life by ensuring all essential amenities can be reached within a 15 or 20-minute journey from home, whether on foot, bike or by public transport. In this episode, Peter Hogg from Arcadis is joined by Laura Citron, Chief Executive at London & Partners, and Anthony Breach, Analyst at Centre for Cities to discuss whether 15-minute communities are the shape of our cities in the future or are they only half the answer? And are they urgently needed for revival after the pandemic or do 15-minute communities miss the point of what cities are for?

Another slight shift for this week's episode. The tables were turned and Robin Merttens and Matthew Grant were interviewed as one of the keynotes for the recent Insurance Insider event "InsiderTech". Catrin Shi asked such great questions - and we haven't recorded a partners' chat for a while - so we polished it up and here it is. We managed to fit all of these into 30 minutes: - What does Insurtech actually mean these days? - How is funding getting in for insurtechs, start-ups and others? - Acceleration in activity over last few months? - Are we seeing a once in a decade opportunity now? - What's happening in innovation at insurers themselves? - Data - good or bad? - Advice for innovation mangers at insurers?
