Pope John Paul II tells us that “evangelization is the cornerstone of all pastoral action, the demands of which are primary, preeminent and preferential.” Yet, let's be real—how often do we actually see this lived out in our parishes? Evangelization tends to take a back seat, overshadowed by other priorities, rarely making it into budgets or staffing plans. But here's the truth: holiness and orthodoxy aren't enough on their own to renew a parish. This week, I sit down with Fr. James Mallon, the author of Divine Renovation, to talk about how we can create parishes that inspire a commitment to Christ and cultivate a dynamic, engaged faith community. We dive into what it takes to make evangelization the heart of parish life, break through cultural barriers, and build leadership teams that lead with purpose. Mike Ferguson in the Morning 10-10-24 Darrell Jones from the Herzog Foundation talks about the continued growth of hybrid schools. Hybrid schools continue post-COVID growth through enrollment and new school startups. Starting a hybrid school is no longer unconventional but is an increasingly common, and popular, way to go. That's according to the latest study by the National Hybrid Schools Project at Kennesaw State University in Georgia. Eric Wearne, the project's director, says the growth of hybrid schools – diverse learning environments that meet less than five days per week – has continued after the initial growth seen during the COVID-19 pandemic. “The pace of school openings does not seem to be slowing down at all,” he told The Lion. “The number of schools that opened before COVID was already on an upward trajectory, but since COVID it's really boomed, and people keep starting new schools.” Story here: https://readlion.com/hybrid-schools-continue-post-covid-growth-through-enrollment-and-new-school-startups/ Get your free subscription to The Lion newsletter here: https://readlion.com/ Darrell's info here: https://herzogfoundation.com/ (https://readlion.com) (@pastordrj) NewsTalkSTL website: https://newstalkstl.com/ Rumble: https://rumble.com/c/NewsTalkSTL Twitter/X: https://twitter.com/NewstalkSTL Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/NewsTalkSTL Livestream 24/7: bit.ly/NEWSTALKSTLSTREAMSSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Takeaways Ganga's journey from Russia to Florida started with her marriage to her husband, whom she met while translating for a yoga teacher in India. Yoga has been a significant part of Ganga's life, providing her with a pure and transcendent experience. Ganga struggled with religion, particularly Orthodox Christianity, and found solace in yoga and the practice of removing something extra rather than fixing things. Her transformation in speaking has allowed her to become more comfortable expressing herself, although she still feels some butterflies in certain situations. Exploring new interests and practices, such as yoga, can lead to personal growth and self-discovery. Accepting oneself and facing emotions are crucial steps in overcoming challenges and addictions. Recovery is not about achieving perfection, but rather learning to manage behaviors and navigate life's messiness. Grace and self-agency both play a role in personal growth and transformation. Interview with Oliver Turner, Executive VP of Karora Resources Inc.Our previous interview: https://www.cruxinvestor.com/posts/karora-resources-tsxkrr-exploration-success-and-production-growth-plans-4304Recording date: 20th November 2023Karora Resources is steadily advancing its growth strategy focused on expanding gold production from its operating mine portfolio in Western Australia. With a solid production track record and extensive infrastructure in place to support higher output rates, Karora offers investors leveraged exposure to rising gold prices. The company remains on pace to meet full-year gold production guidance of 145,000-160,000 ounces, which would represent a sizable increase from Karora's output of under 100,000 ounces just three years ago. All-in sustaining costs have tracked inline as well, at A$1,188/oz versus 2022 guidance of A$1,100-1,250/oz. With its core mines performing to plan, Karora's seasoned management team is executing well operationally.A central component of Karora's growth strategy is its extensive exploration program, focused primarily on adding new gold resources around existing mine infrastructure at its Beta Hunt operation. Over the past four years, the drilling has successfully delineated seven additional gold shear zones near the mine. According to Karora's Executive Vice President Oliver Turner, these new gold discoveries will substantially expand Karora's resource base as they are systematically upgraded into reserves and brought into production. Infrastructure investment aims to accelerate the drilling rate to build up the pipeline of additional production volumes.Importantly, with two mills now providing 2.6 million tons of annual processing capacity, Karora has significant infrastructure in place to translate exploration success into rising gold output. Turner highlighted that growing production will drive higher cash flow generation, which strengthens Karora's balance sheet to fund growth and can also support shareholder returns through dividends or share repurchases once the company reaches scale.By executing its clear growth strategy focused on discovering and developing new production ounces, Karora can substantially expand output from its Australian gold mines. As gold volumes increase, Karora is positioned to achieve a re-rating in its valuation multiple toward parity with mid-tier gold producers. Attracting greater investor interest and larger capital inflows to support its strategic objectives. For investors, Karora offers an opportunity for significant appreciation potential as the market recognizes it maturing into a sizable low-cost gold producer in a tier-one mining jurisdiction.-View Karora Resources' company profile: https://www.cruxinvestor.com/companies/karora-resourcesSign up for Crux Investor: https://cruxinvestor.com

Introducing a thought-provoking episode of the Founder Podcast featuring Richie Norton, the author of "The Power of Starting Something Stupid." In this captivating conversation with host Chris Lee, Richie shares his journey from growing up in San Diego to becoming an entrepreneur and making impactful moves across the globe. He recounts how a seemingly "stupid" idea of selling irregular-sized watermelons led to an early entrepreneurial lesson and reflects on the subtle ways he learned not to trade time for money. Richie's unique perspective on life and business comes from experiences like starting a cashmere business in Mongolia, a taxi company in Samoa, and a pig farm in Cambodia. Richie explains the concept of "Gavin's Law" which urges us to live to start and start to live, embracing creativity and taking risks along the way. He emphasizes the importance of aligning actions with values, debunking the myth that we have endless time to achieve our dreams. HIGHLIGHTS "You're going to be working your whole life. You said your job right now. And I get that I'm super privileged in this way... I had the privilege of having, you know, mom and dad in the home that showed me that." "I was actually taught how to be an entrepreneur. And it was subtle. And I learned how to not have to trade my time for money. And it was subtle." "You actually can't fly without that little string... you don't, I mean, it just kind of flops around on the ground."
