Send us a text"Jesus is Lord" - three simple words that carry life-changing power when truly embraced. But what does this declaration really mean for our daily lives? In our journey through Philippians, we discover how this proclamation transforms both our personal character and our impact on the world around us. From the streets of Bangkok's red light district to our local community outreach through Mercy House, we witness how declaring Christ's lordship brings tangible freedom to the spiritually oppressed and practically serves "the least of these" with dignity and hope. The apostle Paul's letter to the Philippians stands out among his writings as uniquely positive - thanking them for their consistency in faith and sacrificial living. We're challenged to follow their example by adopting the mind of Christ, who though divine, humbled himself to the point of death on a cross. This radical humility stands in stark contrast to our culture's celebration of self-promotion and achievement.Perhaps most challenging is Paul's call to "do all things without grumbling or disputing" so we might shine as lights in a dark world. When life squeezes us through difficult circumstances, what comes out? Complaints or the love of Christ? God is still working on each of us, chiseling away what doesn't reflect His character.Whether you've walked with Jesus for decades or are considering following Him for the first time, this message invites you to make Jesus the true Lord of every aspect of your life - your relationships, your work, your attitudes, and your future. Because when we hold fast to Him through every circumstance, we experience the freedom, purpose and joy that comes only through His lordship.Ready to experience what happens when Jesus is truly Lord of your life? Join our community as we learn to live out this powerful declaration together.Cornerstonehttps://www.cornerstoneaz.org/Follow Jesushttps://www.cornerstoneaz.org/follow-jesusLife Groups https://www.cornerstoneaz.org/life-groupsGiving https://cornerstoneaz.churchcenter.com/givingChurch Center App - Download then add Cornerstone Christian Center in Avondale, AZiOShttps://itunes.apple.com/us/app/my-church-center/id1357742931?mt=8&ls=1&ign-mpt=uo%3D4Android https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ministrycentered.churchcenter----Instagram https://www.instagram.com/cornerstoneazFacebookhttps://www.facebook.com/cornerstoneaz.orgTwitterhttps://twitter.com/cornerstoneaz.org

The Christ came to Earth in the form of a Son of Man to bring the Third Order of Powers to Earth as the solution to overcoming the phantoms of the Imitation that have mired the Second Order Powers in error and ignorance. Those who have eyes to see the Christ are able to remember their Father in Heaven. Those who remember their Father in Heaven and repent from the Imitation are redeemed. In the Gnostic Gospel, redemption comes to all of creation through the incarnation of the Son of God into the body of the Son of Man. The manner of the Savior's birth, death, and resurrection will come to every soul as they realize their Father is in Heaven and to Heaven they will return. For, as it says, “every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord” (Philippians 2:10). It just takes time. We aren't there yet because of the common delusion of presumptuous thought, which causes people to behave selfishly.

That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth. (Philippians 2:10 NLT) Juliet asked Romeo, “What's in a name?” And then she answered her own question: “What's in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet.” That might be nice if you're a flower. But if you're a person, you know that a name can indeed make a difference. Names are so significant that people even will go to court to have them changed. So, what's in a name? That all depends on whose name it is. If it's the name of Jesus Christ, there's a lot in that name. The Bible says, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved” (Romans 10:13 NLT) and “at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth and every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord” (Philippians 2:10-11 NLT). Some may claim they never will bow before Jesus. But they will. Atheists will bow and agnostics will bow. Everyone will bow, no matter who they are, at the Great White Throne Judgment of Christ. But sadly, for those at this judgment, it will be too late. There will be no other chances of forgiveness. That is why we want to bow now so that we'll be ready to meet the Lord. Jesus wasn't born in a stable in Bethlehem so that we could have an excuse to go shopping for a month. The message of the angels to the shepherds was not, “For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. Therefore, go to the nearest mall and spend lots of money.” Rather, they said He is the Savior of the world. This is good news for us. He was born to die that we might live—and not only live eternally, but live life to its fullest and discover the plan that God has for us. Have you discovered that plan? Maybe you're living under the power of a particular sin right now. Maybe some vice, lifestyle, or addiction has its stranglehold on you, and you're trying to break free. God can deliver you from it. Maybe you've felt all alone. There is an everlasting Father who wants to reveal Himself to you. Maybe you have walked blindly through life, not knowing where to go or what to do. There is a God who wants to give His personal counsel to you. Most importantly, He wants to forgive you of your sin. Every one of us has broken God's commandments. Every one of us has fallen short of His standards. Jesus died on the cross for our sins and then rose from the dead three days later. He is saying, “Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends” (Revelation 3:20 NLT). When we look at all that God is and all that He offers to us, it should cause us to be amazed, surprised, astonished, and in awe. And it should cause us to worship Him. — Listen to the Greg Laurie Podcast Become a Harvest PartnerSupport the show: https://harvest.org/supportSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Our Daily Bread Podcast | Our Daily Bread

With a worldwide audience estimated in the billions, Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral was possibly the most watched broadcast in history. One million people lined London’s streets on that day, and 250,000 queued for hours that week to see the Queen’s coffin. A historic five hundred kings, queens, presidents, and other heads of state came to pay tribute to a woman known for her strength and character. As the world turned its gaze to Great Britain and its departing queen, my thoughts turned to another event—a royal return. A day is coming, we’re told, when the nations will gather to recognize a far greater Monarch (Isaiah 45:20–22). A leader of strength and character (v. 24), before Him “every knee will bow” and by Him “every tongue will swear” (v. 23), including the world’s leaders, who’ll pay Him tribute and lead their nations to walk in His light (Revelation 21:24, 26). Not all will welcome this Monarch’s arrival, but those who do will enjoy His reign forever (Isaiah 45:24–25). Just as the world gathered to watch a queen leave, one day it will see its ultimate King return. What a day that will be—when one and all, in heaven and on earth, bow to Jesus Christ and recognize Him as Lord (Philippians 2:10).

Do we want God more than we want anything else? Today, Emma Dotter walks us through Psalm 63 where David sees his need for God, his dependence on Him and the provision He provides. From the moment David's day begins, he thirsts for God as if he is in a desert with no water. When we sense that longing for something more, may we be reminded that Jesus Christ is the only one who can satisfy our souls. May we follow David's example with praise as the mechanism for a heart of contentment in Christ.  Additional Scripture Referenced: Psalm 27:4 – “one thing have I asked of the Lord…”  Philippians 1:21 – “to live is Christ; to die is gain” Matthew 7:7-8 – “ask and it will be given to you” John 10:14 – “I am the Good Shepherd” Matt 6:31-32 – “Your heavenly father knows you need all these things” John 6:35 – “he who believes in me shall never thirst”  Grab a NEW Join The Journey Journal for 2024: https://a.co/d/7rt0H3g   Got kids?
