We have a special for you today. We talk about anime and comic books and see which is better the anime or cartoons. We understand differences have to be made but some changes are not where it is not. Fullmetal is one that is high on the list and so is Marvel Civil War, the original was amazing but the adaptation missed the mark a little to a lot in our point of view. EGC also went to Wicked Comic Con and got us a few live interviews with people there. We do have the audio going in and out a little. We are working on making things better and reaching out more. We will see you soon on the next Episode!
In this episode of the Too Black Too Nerdy Podcast, we are joined by @maceafwindu from tiktok and Robert Butler (@breezy2345). We debate which side DC superheroes would take in a Marvel "Civil War" style event.
Welcome back from Thanksgiving! Sorry but nothing's changed. Everything is still terrible and people are still crazy. A boomer Karen has the most controversial Christmas dinner family tradition that has us fighting each other like Marvel Civil War. There's a new kind of synthetic meat since last episode...again... Another dumb criminal gets caught in Atlanta, GA. A man swear he's been abducted by aliens 60 times! And the Outlaws review the trailer for That 90's Show! --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/outlaws-entertainment/support
This episode of Comic Virgin is a deep dive into Delainey's mind after her first reading of Marvel's Civil War! Mark Millar and Steve McNiven have worked together to create a masterpiece-- that also alludes to an incestuous conspiracy within the FF?! Who's to say?!
David's always right - Introducing Hpkomic! Hpkomic has been with DD since the earliest days, he's a comic artist, writer, English teacher, and podcaster. He even participated in the second comicbook challenge that Platinum held way back in the day when they controlled DD, and came second! He was part of many community events, like the Drunk Duck Civil War (the DD answer to the comic book Marvel Civil War) and DD VS Comic Genesis, which was the DC Vs Marvel of Webcomics! In fact he has the oldest post on this version of the DD forums! After the site was fully deleted at the end of 2005, he was the first person back who commented with an offer of help to get things back online again. Bonus points if you can find it. He's spent some time away but he's resurfaced again to actively participate once more and lend his experience and help with a newspost every second Friday. I will continue to do the Fashion Spotlight, but Hpkomic will alternate newspost with me to lighten my workload and provide variety. In his time away from DD, HP broadened his interests into podcasting, doing the Chucky based “Kid's Stuff”, the supernatural focused “Supernatural Selection”, and writing for “Haunted MTL”, a Canadian horror website. So have a listen to this amiable and intelligent fellow regale us with his brilliance! This week Gunwallace gave us a musical theme to Ghost Network - Xylophone bones, tapping a happy tune on dried out ribs…grinding into a veil of deep red, steaming and chugging through into a cloud of mystery. This is a jaunty ditty crossed with a dark, heavy electronic piece for a very unusual mix. This week, Aleen, Jordana & Sami are in the hot seat (no literally, they're in person at the studio and it's warm AF in there). They start off with some *high*ly interesting updates—yes, we're talking about edibles. For one of our hosts, edibles are like skiing—she forgets that she doesn't like it so she keeps trying, but it's always a miss. The brilliant solution? Have a drink instead! Speaking of…um…weed, Snoop Dogg & all of the other nostalgic stars killed that half time show (Aleen was jumping on the couch clapping her hands). Sami wonders, though, if the SuperBowl would consider changing it up and throw in a live @ Betches podcast recording, perhaps? Then onto Kanye's chaotic—but also really very sad—antics. Pete Davidson dated Hillary Clinton? And that photoshopped Marvel Civil War poster? A lot to unpack here. Onto other chaotic antics: Inventing Anna. While Sami and Aleen couldn't get through the first episode, Jordana soldiered on—Anna Delvey's true story is too wild to miss (that Marrakech trip tho). Sami delves into the ins and outs of another wild (and horrific) true story: the Alec Baldwin wrongful death lawsuit. They wrap up the episode chatting about The Gilded Age (including the new, more pathetic version of Miranda Hobbs) and end on a quick recap of Euphoria (Gia, you icon!). Don't forget to leave that 5 star review and tell Aleen, Jordana, & Sami what to watch next.
For the past two weeks, Kanye West has constantly been posting on his previously dormant Instagram, aggressively campaigning to get his ex-wife Kim Kardashian back. Some of this behavior, such as referring to her current boyfriend Pete Davidson as "Skete" or posting Marvel Civil War memes, has been absurdly comical — but much of it has arguably crossed the line into public harassment, with Kanye most recently ranting about their daughter North's TikTok and posting Kim's messages pleading with him to stop. To help explain what's been going on with Kim and Kanye, we enlisted resident TikTok Kardashians expert @Kardashian.Kolloquium to shed some light on the situation. We also talk about the Tinder Swindler (and whether or not we'd swipe right), a New York magazine piece about fraudster Danielle Miller, and crown a special Valentine's Day-themed Himbo of the Week. Don't Let This Flop is a weekly podcast from Rolling Stone, centered around a roundup of this week in TikTok trends and memes, from dances to recipes to makeup challenges to creepy viral videos to celebrity videos to grassroots campaigns intended to raise awareness of social issues. Join hosts Brittany Spanos and EJ Dickson as they unpack their significance, with special guests to break down the latest trends in TikTok. Some of these stories will be silly; some will be more serious. All will have wider implications outside the world of TikTok. Your Boys get in the weeds while drinking the legendary Pickle Back shot and chaser. Their first time doing shots was either a lesson learned or something the fans needed. They introduce their new segment where they read a script from a popular movie, film or other screen-written production. Things get a little hazy as they create their own Marvel Civil War lineup in the "Quarantine" segment, and touch on trending topics in "What's Good?". Grab yourself some Irish Whiskey and some tasty pickle juice and listen to this wild ride with your favorite happy hour warriors. Cheers!
Whose side are YOU on? Ryan 'Agent M' Penagos and Tucker Markus are joined by Tom Brevoort, VP Executive Editor Marvel Comics, to talk the Marvel CIVIL WAR comic event. Can anyone put on the suit and be Iron Man, or do you have to be Tony Stark? Is Tony, at the end, a Christ figure for the MCU? Who won the Marvel Civil War in the movies? All that and more in this issue, Believers!

Welcome to the latest episode of the MOTION PICTURES podcast. Your regular hosts, Tony Black & Carl Sweeney, are back to discuss director Martin Scorsese and his new film THE IRISHMAN, and ask a key question... What exactly *is* cinema? In the last few months, Scorsese and Marvel have, via Film Twitter, been at war, after Scorsese described the Marvel cinematic juggernaut as “not cinema”. Is he right? Is he wrong? Does it matter? Is the answer less important than people’s reaction to it? It seems to have triggered a debate over the direction of modern cinema. Blockbuster franchises vs smaller fare. Distribution models with Netflix bankrolling The Irishman when major studios wouldn’t. Are we facing cinematic hegemony? Or is the market simply evolving & adapting? And crucially, is there art or craft in Black Panther to the same degree as The Irishman or Goodfellas? Worlds apart in tone and texture, do they all apply as pure cinema? Plus! In our 'What We've Watched' section, we pick through some recommendations of cinema new and old, including KNIVES OUT & DUCK, YOU SUCKER!, plus one to avoid in 60's screwball comedy WHAT'S NEW, PUSSYCAT?...
