This year Latricia teamed up with NFR Qualifier and Legendary Calf Roper Brent Lewis as a partner, to put together a new set of roping calves, and bring some fresh changes to the event! The 2024 RFA has a NEW HOME, and this event will be held on March 27-30 in Waco, Texas at the Extraco Events Center! This event not only highlights the elite roping horses, but also the trainers, riders, owners, and every part of the process that goes into making a great roping horse! “I wanted to highlight everyone involved, and it is my dream to see these great roping horses, trainers, riders, and owners, get recognized for their talents,” says Duke. We want to create life before and after rodeo for the cowboys and horses, so that whatever phase you are in your career, beginning, middle, or winding down and staying closer to home that there is an avenue for the great cowboys and cowgirls in the industry to continue to showcase their talents and great horses. We want to see these horses that come through the RFA go to the NFR, and that is what our end goal is! Roping Futurities of America was founded on the principle to ensure the prosperous future of rope horse trainers, owners and competitors; as well as promoting breeding of the next generation of rope horses.Our inaugural event was hosted February 1-5, 2022 at Taylor Telecom Arena in Abilene, Texas.
