Hear my take on dating a younger man
Hi all,As I bring the curtain down on season 3 of 1% Better, a season that included over 50 shows, and has been running for 11 months, I thought it would be a good idea to pull out some of clips from some of the stand out shows of the season. This wasn’t easy and in the end I practically picked them at random. I’ve decided to go for 10 clips over 2 short episodes. I hope you enjoy it. Below has a short summary of each guest/interview and a link to the full episode on the site. Thanks for support in season 3. Season 4 is already underway recording wise and deep in planning. Here are the five from today’s show1.Ma Anand Sheela episode 100Ma Anand Sheela. Sheela came to prominence recently from the Netflix documentary Wild Wild Country. That’s when I learned about her. However many of you listening might have first heard of her back in the early 1980s when she was the secretary of Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh, latterly known as Osho. The documentary blew my mind and I was struck by Sheela’s personality, devotion for Bhagwan, and then her own seemingly unending quest for power. When I watched the show, I thought how cool it would be to talk with her for the podcast. To learn more about her values, upbringing, what drove her motivations, and of course what life is like for her since the commune broke up and after her time in prison. When I managed to connect with her, tell her about the podcast, and invite her to be a guest, I was delighted when she agreed.Episode Link https://robofthegreen.ie/episodes/maanandsheela-freedomgoalsacceptinglife-ep100/2.Sir Steve Timothy episode 125Steve Timothy is a comedian, online sensation, soon to be Author, Rapper, Satirist, and other titles. He calls himself a chancer and professional Tom-fool. Whatever you want to call him, he’s making a mark.We connected a couple of weeks back, shortly after his sell out show in Cork, to talk about his career, struggles with anxiety, dealing with trolls, disability, love for Everton Football Club, creativity, business, Conor McGregor, and of course the character he and his partner, Sinead, are best known for, Farmer Michael and Kathleen!Episode link https://robofthegreen.ie/episodes/sirstevotimothy-ep125/3.Susan Winter – Episode 101This is the first episode I’ve done that focuses primarily on relationships and, I can safely say, Susan is a guru and thought leader in this every changing space.About Susan. She’s been a guest on Oprah, has a list of media credits that covers about every News show, magazine and paper that I’ve ever heard of, is a best-selling author (Allowing Magnificence and Older Women/Younger Men), she specializes in evolutionary forms of loving partnership and higher thinking, and is in high demand. She’s just had over 10 millions view on YouTube where she posts short informative videos on relationship challenges and how to improve in your loving partnerships.During the hour, we talk about everything on relationships from online dating, cultural challenges, and new terms like Bread Crumbing, Catfishing, and of course Ghosting! I’ve shared links to Susan site, and social platforms at the bottom of these notes.I really enjoyed this one as you’ll probably detect from it and I learned a lot. I’m sure you’ll take something from it too that will make your relationships more than 1% Better. The idea of an older woman dating a younger guy isn’t exactly a new revelation; it’s a dynamic that’s featured across multiple cultures for centuries gone by. That said, older woman/younger man relationships have become increasingly visible in recent years, though that visibility hasn’t necessarily translated into a shift in societal norms. In search of an expert angle, Francesca interviews Susan Winter, best selling author, Older Women, Younger Men.

Bea writes, “Hi Susan,I just met a much younger guy. I am 44 and he's 27. He seems to be quite serious, a quiet type which suits me a lot. He has a very demanding job - he's a firefighter. So I sense he's a strong, manly man. He's also 6'6 and fit. I wonder if in our relationship I'd still be the one who's dominant, just because of my age? I don't fancy this idea. Is it possible he would be the leader here? Thanks, Bea” For more information please visit my website at http://www.susanwinter.net/

Today our expert guest is Susan Winter, a bestselling author and relationship expert specializing in higher thinking for an evolving world. She writes, speaks, and coaches on cutting-edge partnership models, as well as traditional relationship challenges, from a platform that fosters self-esteem and personal empowerment. Susan's first book, Older Women/Younger Men, opened the hearts and minds of readers worldwide to the validity of this type of age-gap love. Susan's second book, Allowing Magnificence, completely reframes how we view life's challenges, empowering the reader to reconnect with the limitless power they already possess. Susan continues to write about relationships and love as a contributing writer for The Huffington Post and The Good Men Project. Older Women/Younger Men “When our authenticity collides with what we are doing, we make a choice that is right for us… and it may not be the choice that others endorse.” Susan wrote her first book after one of her relationships caused a literal witch hunt: she had a TV show called Higher Ground throughout the North East, and a petition was sent to local outlets claiming she was a witch and a prostitute (and a lesbian). She can laugh at it now, but at the time it was very hurtful. They couldn't just be in love; she had to have him under a spell, and there had to be something perverted about it. Allowing Magnificence “The things that we call challenges can actually be reframed.” Susan's second book is, thematically, radically different. Throughout most of her life, Susan doubted her take on the world; her internal answer was always so different from her parents and everybody else around her. Through a series of dating mishaps and research, Susan started to trust herself – and she gave herself permission to live a life driven by her own understanding of the world. Life is guiding us, and most challenges can be reframed as something trying to reroute you to a new path. Many an older woman has voiced her fear of ruining her younger man's life. This form of projection is based on what society has said is the ‘normal transit of one's life.' Age gap courtship is a modern design, but establishing a balanced powerbase begins early. Many older women feel they “should” pay for initial dates, yet fail to realize the long-term repercussions of this otherwise generous act.
